This is a little late coming BUT... When I was in organic lab (2 semesters worth)....If I recall correctly (and... I might be remembering wrong, it's been a year or so).... Your product will crystalize on it's own. Sometimes, you would take a glass stirring rod and scratch your beaker with the liquid product/reagent mix in it to increase surface area to give the crystals something to 'seed' onto... BUT... it'll do it on its own.

As far as super huge crystals go... I'm pretty sure you just add in something that crystals would like to grow on (better than the beaker) and they'll get pretty large... There's some like little kid "grow crystals!" kits where you just use a fucking piece of string and you get some rock candy sized crystals.

PS: I'mma eat me some crazy paper tomorrow and fly my nerd ship to planet Booger!

PSS: NoT... I'm going to use a similar money saving scheme as you to save money for "EPIC TRIP TO SEE YOU AND RAGE IN THE DESERT"
