you just need to do a lot more Googling CK and then start again from the beginning.

Not saying you have to roast and grind your own coffee beans or anything but you should try and get a basic understanding of how they fit into the process of making coffee and that.
 
Ok, step 1;

Those machines (

) make Coffee, and what i drink is instant coffee? lol i didnt even know that, right i'm going to sleep to get a proper nights sleep, wake up with a more capable brain and learn some shit about coffee and join the coffee crew (seriously its my weeks goal :)). Night
 
I do love coffee <3 but try to limit the amount I drink as in the past I've lived on the stuff, a diet of coffee and cigarettes was mandatory as a field engineer, back in the day.

Espresso is where it's at for me, no sugar and no silly tiny cups either:), I've had various machines but deliberately don;t have one at home anymore to keep my intake down. I don't drink coffee in the evenings and would struggle to find the time to mess about with a machine in the morning.

Instant is generally sub standard but I have been drinking this of late :-

If you don;t like instant you should give this stuff a try, the best instant by a mile
 
I'm not into coffee as I'm a tea supremacist, especially green tea and oolong, but I do occasionally like coffee, especially if I'm on etiz or kratom as they mix nicely.

This is probably the easiest way of making coffee:

Every other fucking instant coffee tastes the same just in about 50 different containers. Heaped spoon, 2 sugars and a load of milk :)

You're doing it wrong. Think of instant coffee as that crappy bushweed full of seeds and stones, while a proper full bodied freshly ground filter coffee is blue cheese straight over from Amsterdam.

Can pick up a basic filter coffee machine for less that 20 quid, and once you taste the real thing there will be nogoing back. Get one. Go now.

first off, black coffee is rank. posh or instant, only ever drink that when totally out of milk and craving for something sweet


i drink what i have really, anyone who has experienced hmp coffee will have no problem with branded instant, or even decent supermarket own equivalent - though the lower end stuff approximates the prison stuff a bit too much


whenever im at my moms i take advantage of her cafitierre and posh coffee, quite strong with more sugar than liquid. absolutely gorgeous



ive owned cafitierres in the past but have a strange proclivity towards smashing them



other than proper coffee the only thing i regularly have that comes close are nescafe instant cappucinos in sachets. extra milk and plenty of sugar +1 ciggarette = morning bliss



thats after the intravenous injection of hard drugs, never before. nicotene restricts blood vessels :)

oh and anyone looking for oldschool pure sativas in northen america thesedays will have their work cut out, theyve all been crossed and standardised, hybridised or lost. last thing i owned that came close was a spicy 14week strain that in the end, couldnt justify its own required space

Now here there's something I can agree with. Seriously though coffee makes me more jittery and anxious than a three day pv binge. For some reason though I can drink energy drinks with no problem, maybe it's because of the added b-complex vitamins and taurine

Haven't got one myself but am practically struggling dailywith myself to not go ahead and order it (funds are LOW). Looks awesome though.

And thank you for this thread, was literally the first thing i saw whilst getting back into bed with a cup of very strong French press Lavazza. The next person who mentions instant coffee on here in anything but negative terms needs infracting/farcking/just-generally-fucking, tis not good coffee form whether it be in comparison to prison-roast or not.
 
***COFFEE UPDATE***

Just had a double machiatto - espresso with a small amount of milk foam, from cafe Nero who definitely do the best espresso out of all the overpriced coffeeshop chains. It was luscious and stimulating.

Well done Inso, keep up the good work. I agree that if i HAVE to go to one of the big name coffee houses then Nero is usually the best. I think i was spoilt for choice living in Brighton till recently. Now in a town in Essex and its all just Starfucks, Nero and the like. Shit.
 
The restaurant at the place I work does Starbucks coffee and insist you ask for a "Grande" or a "Vente" rather than a medium or large, can't help feeling more of a twat than usual ordering a Grande cappuccino with 2 extra shots8)
 
Found this on the history of the coffee house

Knew they became known as somewhat free-thinking and therefore dangerous to the ruling classes but didn't know a lot of detail - this explains it a bit better. Anyone had a look at the Aeropress yet? I'll give you a review when i finally get round to buying one. That coffee seller 'HasBean' sounds the muts nuts by the way. Will have to put in an order asap - have you tried their house blends at all or always gone for the single estate stuff?

As caffeine is pretty much the only drug i can indulge in now I'm gonna proper milk it! Or not if i fancy getting hard core ;)

Definitely find that if i go past 3 cups in a couple of hours i get right edge and anxious though. However, that first cup of the morning is a fucking life saver. Tis my only real please at present, can't wait till me sub detox is over and i can actually produce my own feel-good chems myself.

Hahahahaha, never really understood the pull of a macchiato - just looks like a smurf's crapped on my espresso. Each to their own tho i guess. Mmm, i need another coffee....
 
i used to avoid starbucks on the basis of cliche liberal youthism, now the mere thought of the prices alone do the job



to anyone who's experienced both; is there any appreciable difference between filter and cafetierre coffee? my tastebuds have been dulled from years of abuse by nicotene and tomato sauce..
 
Filter is way to weak for me, with a cafetierre you have a level of control over the strength, for obvious mechanical reasons.

Espesso is really the only way.
