I wish NSW had ACT's law (since it's bloody inside of nsw anyway) grow 2 outdoor plants and if caught it' a fine of $100. I guess you only have 6mnths or so when you can grow outdoor in the ACT, I'd imagine it gets way too cold to try growing outdoor in winter there.

Floatingaround I feel like I have seen some of those pictures as well, although I think it was actually on a different forum to this one. IIRC they were posted in a guerilla grow log, anyway I wont say anymore than that and obviously you don't have to confirm anything.

I am determined to grow a few plants this upcoming season, SO sick of paying for the shit and all that comes with it. Been pretty lucky with the quality of my last few pickups but every now and then I come across quality I am not too happy with.

Anyone know of any plants that are good for creating a sort of enclosed area in a backyard where one can grow? I know someone that has a corner of their yard that nobody pays much attention to but is currently a bit open visually. Anyway, this person has pretty much said I can plant a few cannabis plants so long as I am able to do so in a manner that they wont be seen or smelled without deliberate poking around in that area. I figure since cannabis is such a quick growing plant now might be a good time to plant some stuff and give them a head start to gain size on the weed

Depends how you grow them mate. Planting anything soonish will give you a long time for them to veg so keep in mind they will turn into trees if looked after properly and if given the root space. I think there bound to stand out but I don't know what the space looks like. Can't really think of any plants that would keep cannabis hidden, tomatoes obviously a good bet but I can't think of much else tbh.

^I used cherry tomatoes once and they worked well during spring and early summer but by late summer/autumn the tomatoes had a lot of brown crinkly leaves while the ganja was still bright green.

I've seen it hidden in bamboo but that blocks a lot of light. It really depends which direction the sun is and which direction the spot is visible from I suppose.

Any other greenery is a good idea to stop it standing out so much.

^ Quick question, Ive always wanted to lug a 60 litre water container containing nutrients up a tree with some poly and drippers then let the head pressure do the work, roughly how long would 60 litres last for two plants before I had to refill?

I've never done this before but it's a great idea.

It's hard to say really, for smaller plants I would say at least 2-3 weeks. Larger plants less then, you also need to take into account that obviously the smaller the plant the less water they need per water. If it was me though I'd set it up and would visit weekly(this is roughly how often I visit anyway) and check how the water is going then. But if you can't go that often, personally I wouldn't leave it more then two weeks between visits. It's good to check up on your ladies regularly to make sure there are no other problems either, like bugs, after storms and winds etc.

Get a cheap battery powered retic timer so you can control how much water comes out is what I would do. Measure how much comes out per minute and then you will know how long till you have to revisit based on how many minutes you set it for. I would say by the end of summer you might be out there more often though.

Yeah I was hoping to only have to replace water and tend to the plants fortnightly because I work about 1500km away from where the plants will be, and yeah I didn't consider bugs and bunnies, thats a good point. I only want to do it as a bit of an experiment anyway, so If it doesnt work I wont be too worried.

One thing I have found good for making plants blen in is tying down the branches so it grows out instead of up. It will still grow upwards as the branches grow toward light but I just find that tying down branches makes it look less like a big fucking ganja plant. I have done this in suburban back yards with neighbours that have clear sight of my whole yard and never had any suspicious looks or anything. I wouldn't be planting just yet tho, it's winter and they won grow as good.
I have a few seeds that I'm holding onto until spring to put into the ground.
I also like to cut my crowns off so it splits into a V
At the top.

Aren't you worried about the smell with your neighbours? I don't think I could ever grow pot at home simply because I'm paranoid and I know they stink!

When growing indoors you need to be using a charcoal filter for the smell or something similar. This is probably the main thing you need to cover and then the chances of you getting busted(assuming your only doing a small cupboard person grow, and telling no one) chances of you getting done are quite low in my personnel experience.

LST or low stressing training which is tying the plants down as you guys mentioned works great for not only height issues, but it exposes more growth sites resulting in a higher yield.

^^ I was talking about outdoors, I have no idea about indoor stuff and I prefer, when I do smoke, to smoke natural herbs.

Ah ok either way it delivers the same results. I always tie my ladies over early in there life.

No better quality then an organic bud grown outdoors IMO.
