had some bad luck over the weeks few questions for you, anyone know how long a cannabis caution lasts traceable on your record, also anyone know how frequent/infrequent mobilephone taps are

I doubt they would even use them for low end dealers, they may monitor texts though. I don't know much on it personally.

I think a caution should act like a fine and only the police will be able to access it. It shouldn't show up on police checks IIRC

I hate that the xmas season for me is dry in a sense. Usually plenty of bud around as long as you've stocked up. I really prefer bush over hydro but if u dont know a grower or a good supplier its hard to find. Been 3 days now and my dreams last night were just plain odd... withdrawals suck!

yes cannabis cautions are only accessible by the police, however this can still be a nuisance as any police stop now involves a car search or strict interrogation

Partially true, although from my understanding they cannot search through ur belongings. They can only search ur car or anything attached to it with reasonable suspicion but otherwise cannot search u. Its always good to know ur rights so its prob best if one researches them.

I do tend to find that you wanna be well stocked up about a week before christmas as the leadup to christmas and just after can be a difficult time to find green, kinda odd considering christmas is like THE best day of the year to get lit. I am pretty disappointed as my guy who has not let me down once in over 6 months sold me some pretty sub par shit today, he was up front about quality and charged a bit less than usual but it sucks knowing I am going to have to weather the next week or two with fairly average bud... Lucky I saved a nice fat nugget of nice stuff for christmas day.

Pretty wrong that previous offences are now "reasonable grounds" to search your car every time they pull you over.

Sorry Im not sure if i was clear with my post, yeah they can search your car anytime but not urself, because ur driving on the road they have every right to check it and also go through it but not ur personal belongings or urself unless there are reasonable grounds to search you and ur belongings.

Police can search you, your car, bag or belongings if:

you consent (agree);
you have been arrested;
police ‘reasonably suspect’ that you have something stolen or unlawfully obtained, or something used or about to be used in a crime;
police ‘reasonably suspect’ that there are illegal drugs on you or in your car;
police ‘reasonably suspect’ that you, your bag or school locker have a knife or other weapon;
police suspect that you are involved in ‘terrorist-related’ activities;
police have a search warrant for the building you are in, and they ‘reasonably suspect’ that you have something named in the warrant on you;
you are detained because you are drunk in public.

So they need evidence for incrimination. Best not to travel with rolling papers, roaches, bongs, bong pieces etc etc etc

in other words they can make up any old shit in order to have "reasonable grounds". yes, those are your "rights" but they can be twisted in any number of ways. cops know the tricks, it's how they operate.
more and more the balance is tipped in their favour in this country.

Yeah they have there little tricks but u can over come them if u know the right things to say, just dont give them suspicions and it should be all sweet.

Don't forget now in Victoria the police can designate areas for random weapon searches - then they can search anyone and everyone with no "reasonable grounds" requirement. Footscray Station is a popular spot for this...

its only if they suspect you are carrying an illegal firearm or drugs that they can search you personally or your car etc. resonable grounds would be their dog reacted to you, you look nervous or trying to avoid contact (but you can always fight that one) or they have intellegence on you (which case the police would more likely raid your home if it was drug related or if it was gun related they sure wouldnt act like it was a random traffic stop)

like sustanon said, even though police can search you if they have reasonable grounds, you do have rights to question what their reasonable grounds are and can refuse. searching someone cos police suspect your in possession of an illegal firearm or drugs is like a verbal search warrent, and like a regular search warrent, there needs to be legal grounds for the 'evasion of privacy'.

you have to give police permission to search, you can refuse them where they will hold you until they can obtain a warrent.

security people, citizen arrests cannot search you, if they try or say they are going to search you tell them you no your rights and their not aloud to search you.

thats what they would be telling people, but in truth no matter what state you live in or what train station your at, you have rights, and EVERYONE no matter who they are have to follow australia's laws.

the government will put out info that police can 'randomly search without any reasonable grounds' so most people just assume its lawful and will let the police do it without questioning them, and/or so it looks like they (the government/police) are getting tough on criminals and train stations are an easy way for police to quickly show a physical perscence.

i 90% of australians trust everything our government/media says & does cos we are 'western and democratic', and would be happy with the tough stance on criminals. "why would anyone need to worry unless they are hiding something?", well what is proposed is more suited to socialism and is totally against australias fundamental laws, thats why its more of a political stint than anything else.

if you said no, why did u pick me etc etc (again unless a dog reacted to you or you were showing the signs that police are taught) then a cop cannot just randomly search just cos your at a particular station

agreed, but dogs have been proven to be able to be made to indicate false positives - chalk that one up for the coppers.
as for being in a car, the old "i smell marijuana smoke" chestnut covers that. it's their word against yours, and if they want to search, there are plenty of ways they'll bully you into it.
i'm not disagreeing - on the contrary - know your rights! i'm just a bit cynical about police having to show reasonable grounds when these can be creatively pulled out of nowhere, depending on the situation/individuals.

They changed the laws in Vic last year - see here - so I'm afraid yes police can search anyone in designated areas. It is an offence to refuse. Good luck jumping on your high horse OND43X - not great advice I would suggest :)

lol i would def not just accept it if i was searched, call it high horse or watever, specially if i donot have anyhting illegal on me and i was the only one picked out of a crowd.

so much for the politicial propaganda we are hear about our great democracy, slowly turning to shit. were gradually getting more goverment regulations on the individual with fewer goverment regulations on big companies.

Recently got a vape today...cheapy, but works well, different high for sure but seems to do the trick, i will have to invest in a better one shown to me by sustanon! :) cheers bud!
