Dawn raids 'dismantle' NSW bikie gang

POLICE say a series of dawn raids have "effectively dismantled" the North Coast headquarters of the Lone Wolf Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG), with simultaneous search warrants executed and 10 alleged members taken into custody.

Strike Force Oriental was established in January 2011, following a series of violent offences in the region.

However, subsequent investigations led detectives to discover the alleged large-scale distribution of illegal drugs, including methylamphetamine, cocaine and cannabis.

Two search warrants have already been executed in recent months with four people arrested and charged.

Detectives executed 11 simultaneous search warrants during dawn raids about 6am today at homes in Coffs Harbour, Toormina, Sawtell and Middle Boambee.

Police also raided the Lone Wolf OMCG clubhouse on Hulberts Street at Toormina.

Ten alleged Lone Wolf members and associates were arrested at the homes and taken to Coffs Harbour Police Station where they are expected to be charged with a range of offences.

Superintendent Mark Holahan, Coffs/Clarence Local Area Commander, said today’s raids and subsequent arrests came at the end of "a long and complex investigation".

"By ultimately shutting down this criminal syndicate we have put a significant dent in the ongoing supply of illegal drugs in our region," Supt Holahan said.​

So the leader of the comos got over 20 years and the judge even said that he didnt kill the guy in the brawl.That means that one of his mates that was there did it and let him take the fall for it.You can almost feel bad for the guy

"Justice Hulme said that, as national president of the hierarchical Comanchero, Hawi had absolute power and that his presence ''would undoubtedly have had the effect of authorising and approving the actions of the man who bludgeoned Anthony Zervas to death''.

He also said that Hawi had had a prominent role in the events leading up to the brawl, particularly the mid-flight confrontation with the Hells Angels boss, Derek Wainohu, which preceded it.

Upon discovering that his rival was onboard, Hawi walked up and down the plane glaring at him before instructing two of his subordinates to ''get the guys to meet us at the other end''."

Basically sums up that he caused the death of him. Guilty as sin.
 
but how was he suppose to know that a punch up would lead to his mate picking up a bollard and smashing someones head in it.I think he deserves jail time but they should have found out who actually hit him

What was he really expecting to happen? Calling guys to meet at the airport, I'm surprised nobody was shot.
 
How on earth can someone feel sorry for a person like this? Like Kronic said he had absolute power and control over the situation. All this in front of innocent by standers. If your going to settle a dispute with violence then go 1 on 1 and use ur fist IMO. Anyone who needs a backup or weapons is a coward. Society doesnt need people like him, I think he was just about to get married and had/was having a child born with his wife. In the end if your a bikie boss sooner or later its either the grave or getting locked up for good. Taking someones life, there isnt a harsh enough penalty and remorse for any of there friends/family members. Its sickening tbh. 20 years later he walks free, friends/family members lives are ruined forever. Where is the justice? Its bullshit.
 
i havent read any reports in the news but the other night when 5 or so shootings happened in western sydney, i live in the area where most happened and i swear i thought i heard machine gun fire well before the reports of shootings happened. did one of them use a machine gun? LoL it was the first time in years i have heard machine gun fire on the street, the last when i lived in auburn many years back.
 
I havnt seen any articles where they mentioned machine guns but wouldnt surprise me if they did have some / use some. I read an article of a really young guy from the Western suburbs who was manufacturing home made sub machine guns in his backyard but got taken down. Id assume there are a number of those guns out on the streets of Sydney, im pretty sure.
 
there is def machine guns here in the west, earlier this year a group from around lakemba were caught selling guns and had an AK-47 for sale when the cops raided them, and yeh i also heard about mak-10s being made in western sydney apparently selling for around 15-20K each.

I am interested though if a sub or machine gun was used. cos im sure i heard a small burst of automatic fire

I said you can ALMOST feel sorry for him.The guy that actually killed him is going to be realesed either this year or next year because the rest of the guys that were at the brawl only got like 3-5 years sentences so a murderer is going to be back on the streets by this time next year.And yes the judge pussied out and only gave him 21-28 years a crime like this in a public place and daytime infront of woman and children should of been minumum 35 to life because if someone can do this in a public place infront of 100s of witnesses imagine what he can do when none is watching.A friend of mine got 6 years for ko a bouncer and these guys who were in a brawl involving a murder only got 3-5.I guess the guy that actually did it has to live with the fact that he let his mate take the fall for it but i think he doesnt give a fuck because he would of come foward if he did

There is definitely automatic guns around Western Sydney, my mate reckons he saw a chrome Mac-10 at one of his brothers mates place.

Few guys that I went to school with got charged not too long ago with soliciting the sale of an AK-47 and an SKS.
 
its been quiet here in sydneys west lately... The last few weeks the police have really made their prescence around where i live, police helicopters in the air at night, cop cars driving around and randomly pulling people over. Its good to see and hear things going back to normal. Lol just as i am writing this what do i hear and see?.. a police helicopter flying over lol.
