Y'know, I disagree that we need them for drugs in QLD... honestly, I'd prefer people who were more focused on the business side of supplying. Keeping it real professional. Not shooting people for the hell of it. Is that too much to ask?

Exactly, I bet that everyone of these clowns watches Sons of anarchy or other organised crime shows or films and thinks thats the life their living.

I cant understand bikies these days, they like to think that they are individuals who dont conform but they conform and have more rules than most "normal" people I know, they all look the same, unimaginative tribal tattoos, bum bags, ridiculous chunky jewellery and all roided up,.. They are almost comical looking.

No class or style at all.
 
Police crackdown on youth gangs acting as feeder groups to Gold Coast outlaw bikies

HE'S the Gold Coast's latest criminal problem child - the ''baby bikie''.

Violent youth gangs with names such as the Gold Coast Brotherhood and Soldiers of Islam are springing up on the Glitter Strip as ''feeder groups'' for outlaw motorcycle clubs.

Police say few of the ''bikies on training wheels'' actually ride motorcycles but are causing mayhem, bashing innocent people and committing other crimes in a bid to prove themselves to senior bikies.

The Soldiers of Islam gang, comprising mainly young Muslim men including former Iraqi soldiers, is a feeder gang for the Bandidos bikie gang while the Gold Coast Brotherhood is a recruiting base for the Nomads.

Members of the Brotherhood were allegedly involved in last month's wild street brawl at the Cooly Rocks On nostalgia festival at Coolangatta.

The brawl, also allegedly involving trainees for the notorious Finks bikie gang including former NRL player Anthony Watts, left a 62-year-old bystander in hospital and a classic car damaged.

He was bashed after trying to photograph the melee on his mobile phone.

The man charged with assaulting him, Jacob Little, 22, was named in court as a member of the Gold Coast Brotherhood.

Police say the Brotherhood have been involved in various violent incidents on the southern Gold Coast, including surf club and pub bashings.

Gold Coast police inspector Greg Baade, who heads the southern Patrol Group, said the Brotherhood formed in about 2009 but had become ''more active'' in the last two years.

Police were now cracking down on them as part of a war on outlaw motorcycle gangs.

Insp Baade said the gang had at least 16 members, ''a number of them known to police''.

''As a general rule, they don't own or ride motorbikes but they do have meetings at various premises around the Coolangatta/Palm Beach area,'' he said.

''They call themselves the Gold Coast Brotherhood or GCB and also use the numbers '14' and '732' as gang logos, some of which they have tattooed.

''Both uniform and plain clothes staff are actively targeting members of various groups including this one.''

The Gold Coast Brotherhood is the latest youth gang to emerge on the southern Gold Coast, where gangs including the 'Palmy (Palm Beach) Army' and Coomicubs - a one-time feeder group for the Lone Wolf bikie club - have run riot in the past.

Police have compiled detailed intelligence not just on the Gold Coast's nine main bikie gangs but also on their ''youth wings''.

Insp Baade said the new Mobile Deployment Group, ''a flying squad'' of battle-hardened police targeting crime across the Coast, had been tasked for a ''zero tolerance'' crackdown on bikie feeder gangs.

He also called on pub and club operators to ''take a strong stance and not allow these types of people into their premises''.

If the Angels want to save face and they can't get the other clubs to patch over, I can imagine them sending in a lot of low profile enforcers from around the world. I'm sure the volunteer least will exceed their need. That is if they think the Continents Club is worth the effort. They got the money and the firepower and could convince the other clubs the opportunity that exist if they lay low and make money together. And I do agree there will be cocaine and heroin involved in the results. Who knows for sure but that's my theory.

"Killing a police officer" The bikies know there not gonna send one cuntstable down to arrest a bikie, that release benefits the governments new anti bikie laws, seems a bit suspect to me.
 
The bikies have bought this upon themselves. Up until now, most criminal organisations went about their business in a more candastine manner. It was called the underworld because their illegal activities took place away from prying eyes and did not affect the common man. Bad things went on but as long as joe blog was not involved the police turned a blind eye. Lately these gangs have used the communal streets as their own, fighting, shooting and causing mayhem, not just between themselves but often involving innocent bystanders. I have even seen them arrogantly declare that they own the streets, not the government. I'm afraid you are wrong. We own the street, and we have tolerated your presence only because we generally couldn't give two shits about your childish mentality. Once you start brawling around our kids and start shooting regular people on the streets, we will unleash the forces that we actually voted for to serve and protect us to round you up and drive you out of town. It's too late to cry about being discriminated against. If you were smart you would have kept quiet and stayed anonymous.
 
When I was a kid I always wanted to be a Hells Angel when I grew up but I can't grow a decent beard and I'm not big enough. Shattered dreams
 
I don't actually disagree with everything in your post for once 1Kw, however, it doesn't really make sense to take laws that can be applied broadly and use that as the method to stamp out bikies, it seems to me it wouldn't be too difficult to send most of these idiots away for decent sentences through good old fashioned police work. These new laws aimed at bikies are just coming from politicians who want to use this as a platform to elevate themselves and are sick of the job that scared/lazy/incompetent police have been doing to date, so they create bullshit laws so a monkey with down syndrome could find a way to convict these assholes for years and years.

I dont know about that, the old days weren't much better. Organized crime has always been brutal, the bikies just seem to be too dumb to know what the best for them.

You get raided. Guess what? YOU have to prove that you're not a bikie or an affiliate of a bikie, you are guilty until proven innocent and that quarter could cost you a mandatory minimum just for being in the wrong place, just like the good 'ol US of A.

It's only certain clubs that have carried on publicly. I wouldn't take their names in vein but they have bought it on themselves in a lot of ways.

But now you send them underground, what will happen, the Asians and Italians, etc have been sitting back quietly laughing. Maybe the bikies will do the same and go quiet/more underground or maybe there will be a bloodbath who knows?

Have you got a source for that, What would they charge you with? Surely you could only be charged with possession.
