The Big & Dandy Solo Trip Thread

Words can not even begin to describe the state of mind that I have been existing in.... I love all of you so much...thank you

tripping alone is the best, personally i only trip alone on high doses nowadays, people are too much of a distraction wehn your that high, imo.

^^ I think he already did it. I like to trip alone. Its a totally different experience. I've only had one solo acid trip, and I took 4 hits. The rest of my many trips were with friends. It is a fun group activity but it doesn't have to be a group activity.

don't do it, you NEED human company on LSD IMO, or else you stay locked in your head and get mad looping thoughts + it lasts a long time... (my opinion)

Maybe you need to listen to those mad looping thoughts. ;)

Unpleasant solo trips are usually caused by unpleasant things in your subconscious that you have been repressing, coming to the fore. You notice them solo because there are no distractions.

Solo tripping can be very therapeutic. Confronting those "mad looping thoughts" and recognizing they are a beautiful part of you is a beautiful experience and afterwards those thoughts don't seem so "mad looping" anymore. You'll feel more whole, as if you've found another part of yourself.

i do most of my trippin solo, but I still certainly enjoy tripping with good friends... MGMT's also a good choice, Oh Brother Where Art Thou soundtrack, or just the movie, is awesome as well

Tripping on your own, closing your eyes, and getting lost in your thoughts is almost always the best way to navigate +++ territory. I hate being really intoxicated around a bunch of people.

I used to have an old friend who insisted he knew the best ways to trip and that you always had to have other people and you had to go out and do something. That's pretty much the worst advice ever, I found.

There's never anything to be afraid of in your own head. But outside, there's police, there's violent criminals, people who could abuse you and lots of dangerous objects.

I've bad tripped on LSD and it sort of put me off it (done quite a lot in the past), i far prefer the 2C's, far easier on the mind... i know what you mean, sortof go with the flow, but especially for a "begginer" i personnally don't recommend taking LSD alone, once you're an experienced user, thats fine, but i prefer to be with friends who can bring me back to earth a bit in case i go too far (i am also on neuroleptics and anxiolytics, and i have a friend who's been locked in psych ward for 8 years after LSD triggered, i presume, his delirious, schizophrenic, bi-polar problems) so i know that in my case I don't have a very stable mind (i'm getting there, as i get older and more secure.... But thats just my opinion

to the OP, read the pros and the cons, and make an infoormed serious decision, LSD trips are life changing, mostly for the best, but not allways, i know with good friends i'm safe... and thats reassuring for me....

Hope it goes/went well... please report back to tell us the detaiils!:)

Yeah I already took the trip. Overall, it was an amazing experience (especially listnening to Ripple by the Grateful Dead, that song is now forever sacred to me). However, it was only partially a solo trip because I was in contact with some friends who happened to be tripping on some mushrooms at the same time. So, in a way it was like they there were with me.

edit: Mods, feel free to close this now since I received all the advice I needed and have already tripped.

Doing mushrooms alone

mushrooms have FINALLY returned to my area, and I just picked some up. I'm really excited to get to do them again, and I have the opportunity this afternoon to consume. The only problem is, I have no one to do them with if I do them tonight. Have any of you ever tripped mushrooms alone? What was your experience with this? I sometimes forget that other people are even around me if I'm tripping pretty hard, so I feel like it won't really be a big deal.

I tripped alone the only two times i did it. First with half an eight and that was a good experince and I did not need anyone the second time I was just walking around chicago tripping balls again I did not need anyone. If you are the type that losses control easy I recommend a trip sitter.

I prefer to eat mushrooms alone. It is a very intimate, personal thing... and a good opportunity to focus on the mushroom itself and strengthen your relationship with it :)

Do it in darkness, and if you really want things to get weird, in silence too ;)

remember to breathe

Merged multiple Solo Tripping threads into B&D Mega thread. :)
There were a lot of loose ones that ironically went solo :D

This is about a commonly asked question and it's derivates, namely who to trip with?
Hopefully the title isn't too misleading because the topic is just as well tripping not-solo and why.
Carry on, don't keep your questions and remarks to your lone self! =D

I've tripped alone on shrooms.. It was awesome. I occupied myself with fun activities. I was on my computer the whole time. Talking to friends online, and when it got too late for people to be IMing, I started playing video games. Mainly my Nintendo 64 emulator on my computer. I was playing Star Wars Pod Racer all night. I felt no anxiety from being alone. I sat in my room with nothing but shorts and ski goggles on (yes, i was that fucked up lol). I didn't speak one word during those 6hrs of insane bliss. In all it was a great experience.

Merging with the new Big & Dandy Solo Trip Thread, read it for general information and experiences / opinions from people tripping alone or on purpose not alone. Discuss further what is not covered yet :) A lot has, and you will see that opinions can really depend on the person as well.
