The Big & Dandy Salvia Thread - Second iteration

Darkness. I don't really get visuals at all in daylight, even at break through doses (just a weird perception of normal visuals, for instance I'll think my bedpost is a spire reaching into the heavens even though it looks just like a bed post).

I like the total transformation to the dimensions of the mundane, and I just find the CEVs to be "solid imagination material". I guess that's what most of you love :) Each to their own, isn't variety great :D

i love taking a huge hit of salvia, and closing my eyes and let it go from there. so imguessing lights off for me.

I say it matters little about lights if you break completely through....but I prefer low light conditions, it's just a more relaxed atmosphere no matter what I am undertaking. I don't like being conscious too much of the real world while tripping on salvia, I want the other reality in my mind to be seamless...

It's a fine line though, between the super deep breakthrough that you can remember once you come out of it, and the deep trip in which you just pass out completely and can't remember shit...

the few experiences i had with the stuff were disappointing. they left me feeling nervous and on the edge of terrible depression or craziness. this was on 15x i think. id love to have a breakthrough experience. just bought some 10x by 100fX. i know its a weak one but you think it could get me there? i need to find a bong...

meant to ask, whats it like? DMT done twice before and several 4th plateau DXM trips. ive done had many many trips.

Yeah, get a bong- try and just take the deepest rips possible of it and HOLD THEM IN- that seems to be the key. If smoked right, you can break through via leaf- I have several times.

Salvia is very hard to describe- its different everytime and for everyone. That said, its not like DMT; maybe closer to DXM (never done DXM myself) in that it is very dissociating; kinda like lucid ketamine. Probably the closest approximation of the effects (when using comparative methoodddss) would be DMT and nitrous....But, still, salvia is completely different. It doesn't really compare to any psychedelic; except that it is probably the strongest psychoactive drug, when at full force, in existence. The effects you HAVE experienced; manigify them by 100000% and add an inabilty to recall WHY you are feeling that.... Have fun :) <3

^^^ jesus christ man! 1000000%?! i thought dmt was the strongest. or maybe its just more peaceful. i dunno. its happening this weekend.

When you break through on DMT, you enter a reality that can be anything...you might be in another world...you might be a tree...you might be PART of an object...you might be disembodied in time and space...literally anything can happen. And while IN that trip, you don't know ANYTHING about your former life! You don't remember that you even took a drug! It feels completely and utterly REAL, and sometimes you get confused as the real world starts coming back, because you don't know why you are experiencing two realities at once.

It's a very short trip in real time, but in your mind, it might seem like an hour or two. Crazy stuff.

That's the reason you need to be in a good frame of mind before you trip, if you have a bad mental set, you might have a horrible experience in which you are dead/dying or some other horrible event.

Set and setting are of utmost importance with this substance for sure.

that makes sense. i do remember taking something when i do DMT, even if ego-loss occurs. its truly amazing and wonderful all the different experiences psychedelics can offer. 99% of the time in in a good frame of mind, rarely do i get angry or have negative or disturbing feelings. unless of course you count when i get energy bounce from people. im nervous, but am really looking forward to this.

Good Luck! I need to think about this as well. My first and only Egodeath on salvia was when I was in a struggle during my life. I respect the substance and fear it at the same time, yet when I take a small hit from the bong it gets me euphoric and giggly. I am now at a wonderful place in my life and I must say that one of the reasons is because of my Egodeath from Salvia.

Oral use of salvia leaf extract.?

Can those extract precipitated salvia leaves that many smoke also be used sublingually or is it worthless or just too gross? any input appreciated, thanks.

Don't know if this has been suggested before but regarding the sensation of being torn in half:
There's a pretty simple explanation for this I guess: Your brain handles proprioception which tells you how your body is oriented in space, and your left and right brain hemispheres both manage your left and right body halves (actually it's crossed so the other way around). If this process is not synchronized anymore it's obvious that it may seem like one half of your body is doing another thing than the other one. Such a big malfunction can come as quite a shock!
General affecting of your proprioception circuits can also have it believe that you are moving in a constant direction while you are actually sitting still, the result being that you feel like gravity is suddenly shifting towards a certain point or even acting in a spiralling pattern.

Eventually it's not that mysterious is it? Though the salvia experience puts the most fundamental ways we experience reality to the test!

Sallyland is so wierd.... tried it bout 6 times so far and it is way more intense than anything Ive ever done. Scary in a interesting way. Feels like some being/force wants to pull me farther in and only thing holding me back is the thoughts of loved ones.....also makes me feel like once again Ive entered this land with nothing to give, like I should offer something to this being/force just for having there presence. I seem to have a telepathic understanding of what these beings/force is saying but only gibberish comes out of me. Once I come back to reality I wander am I making connections with a alter reality or realm or am I just killing brain cells.................How does this sound neone feel the same..?
What do you think..? Killing brain cells or making connections

In case your interested in further elaboration on this line of thinking, I've suggested it before, maybe in an earlier iteration of this thread, and in the Salvia and the Conveyor Belt thread.
Specifically:
Me said:
In many cases I think that our brains simply pick out the closest association we have in memory for whatever salvinorin A is doing to our sense of equilibrium and proprioception i.e. a roller coaster, similar to how the wind through an open window during sleep might translate into a dream of riding a motorcycle. Cyclical processes and infinite repetition seem to be major themes, as do cogs on wheels, saw teeth and zipper teeth. I imagine the "ferris wheel" could simply be the natural correlate to the overarching theme of cyclical processes and repetition fused with the amusement park associations most of us have with fluctuating gravity effects. I think the shared themes of different user's salvia experiences are entirely the production of unique simple sensations and concepts artificially evoked by salvia being explained and wildly elaborated on by our VERY confused brains through reference to memories healthy teenage and young adult western males (the bulk of salvia users and report writers) and friends all share. That's not to say the individual experiences are not utterly unique, but I certainly don't feel, as some do, that the themes are any indication of a shared glimpse into an objectively existing metaphysical realm, universal consciousness, telepathy etc.

Other than this entity presence i have after a dose Ive only experienced visuals of things being in layers and a popup book effect. Does mainly each effect come with the power of the dose or does it just differ from person to person. Now that I think bout it there really isnt any way to control it guess you just get what you get.....does anyone know of any websites that have more insight on Salvia ..just such a interesting tool and want to learn how to use it..!

How bout it
