Yeah, I've tripped on it a number of times. It's like being really baked on weed, only less psychedelic.
If you're not being drug tested, you might want to stick with good old cannabis. Just eat a lot in some brownies or something.
But if you're really intent on experimenting with nutmeg, try doing what I used to do. Find some whole "nuts," and grate them with the fine part of a cheese grater. Pour yourself a full glass of cold milk, and dump the shavings into it. Stir well and gulp it down. There will be leftovers at the bottom, so just add more milk, stir, and finish it up.
The milk, in addition to masking the taste to a not-insubstantial degree, will also help calm your stomach. Eating some cottage cheese or a raw carrot afterward would also make things go more smoothly, gastrointestinally-speaking. The one time I puked from ingesting nutmeg was when I mixed it into a tall glass of grapefruit juice. That was on 10 seeds, which is a humongous dose: totally not recommended. One or two seeds should be enough.
