The main benefit is you will get a MUCH cleaner and whiter product if you freeze precip because as greenmeanies said, the DMT will crystallize and stick together in clumps and the impurities will be left behind in the naphtha. If your just evaporate, you product will be a lot more yellow and gooey and more difficult to work with.

Also, coffee filters are not necessary and I find them to waste product. Just pour the naphtha off carefully leaving the crystals behind and THEN air dry and scrape.

okay so if i dont use filters and just pour it...i'd be safe because the crystals are stuck to the side of the glass? (i just dont want them to pour outta my mason jar along with the liquid)


also how many jars do u think i should put in my freezer? ( i plan on buying 1oz of powdered MEXICAN & BRAZILIAN MHRB....and do u know how many 'trips' worth tat is? u think its enough for me and 3 friends all to haev a trip)

Yes they are usually stuck to the glass unless you knock them off. if you are careful none of them will come out with the naphtha.

I just use one, you can use as many as you wan't but I like to do it all at one time.

Also, I suggest you leave the jar in your freezer for at least 24 hours. Another tip, once you take them out of the freezer and pour off the naphtha place the lids back on the jars as soon as you can and allow them to adjust to room temperature to avoid condensation building up.

1 oz is a very small amount. The smallest extraction I have done was 50g of mimosa I suggest you order a little more. I believe the rule of thumb is that you will get about .5% yield of the amount of mimosa you use (others please chime in if I'm wrong I haven't extracted in a while). I think I got about 250mg from my first 50g extraction.

actually i will be doing evaporation =/ if my parents see it in the freezer i'm screwed. so i'll will putting into a flat glass type tray, one u make brownies in or something. then just stick it in my closet, i hope it'll work
 
&&& i'd order a 1/4lb a 1/2lb of the powdered mhrb but idk i that will all fit into a glass dish like this while its evaporating in my closet? or could i just let it evaporate/air dry (since i cant do the freezer) in a mason jar?

even if the crystals accidently come out with the naptha, you're pouring into another jar (NOT THE DRAIN!) to same the naptha for later, so you can't possibly lose any crystals.

1oz = 28g * 1.5% extraction = 420mg DMT freebase @ ~50mg/trip = 8 trips
 
ROFL if you're concerned about parents, how do you think naptha fumes IN YOUR CLOSET are going to work?
 
^Yea that probably isn't safe you need to do it in a ventilated area. I don't know if you should be doing this in your parents house. Probably not a very smart idea.

i don't get it? is this gonna smell? maybe i can just hid it in my backyard where no one goes???
 
It will smell ALOT. Naphtha stinks and the fumes are not good to breath in, not to mention quite flammable.
 
not just smell, but NAPTHA IS LIGHTER FLUID AND YOU CAN SET YOUR ASS ON FIRE IN A CLOSED SPACE

don't do it in your parents house or we WILL call you a dumbass when you're grounded or worse.
 
well i have an area of my backyard where no on goes, so i will just leave it there for 24+ hours in a big jar..or til whenever it is all evaporated
 
We'll to be honest I'm a little hesitant to help you now that you've admitted your doing it at your parents place but if you do it outside put a screen over it to prevents bugs and debris from getting in.

yeah and actually me and my friend decided to do it in some old ditch/canal on my friends property and hide it where no one goes...i don't wanna leave it there for super long...any idea how long the evaporation proces would take?
 
evaporation is quicker with more surface area (brownie pan vs jar) but you want to keep it out of sunlight or risk oxidising all your DMT.

what does it say on ingredients?

if you don't see 99-100% sodium hydroxide (NaOH) then it will NOT WORK

liquid drain opener usually has bleach (BAD) or soap (BAD) in it

oh and in case this wasn't mentioned at the dmt-nexus, you MUST HAVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN WORKING WITH LYE. lye in your eye will blind you. lye on your skin will burn you. the only way to neutralize a lye burn is with acid. KEEP VINEGAR CLOSE AT HAND IN CASE OF A LYE SPILL.
 
you mean the ammonia wash at the end of noman's tek? don't do it. even if you find non-sudsy ammonia (hard to find unless you shop at a janitorial supply), ammonia will dissolve some of your product.

if you separate your layers well (don't get any lye water in your naptha evaporation tray) then your DMT will be clean enough to smoke.
