Are you doing STB? Try adding more base, and heating the naphta before pulls.

dread I added a tsp more of base, and this time heated the naptha in a warm water bath. Thing is, I shook the jar like a mad man, and I see no evidence of naptha separation even after 10 minutes. I've only rolled my jars before, I hope I didn't fuck it up

Yeah, if you shake it intensely, it will take a long time to separate. Wait an hour, if it still doesn't separate you have emulsion. If that is the case then you can try adding more water to the base/bark sludge, or you can try adding salt. Adding some table salt always gets rid of emulsion for me.

I read somewhere a figure of 60g per liter. I usually just pour some until the emulsion dissolves.

only thing I'm worried about is the filtration - don't want my stuff to end up on a coffee filter. Are there any MORE fool-proof options?

^ decant the naphtha and reuse it (add it back to the basified solution) for another pull. keep at it until you stop getting crystals

advice needed. i followed noman's tek word for word, except that i did a sodium carbonate wash instead of ammonia. after several (unsuccessful) attempts at freeze precipitation i did an evap of about half of the naptha. this left me with an oily patch that i can't even scrape. what did I mess up, and how can i fix it?

vm&p naphtha from a hardware store probably one of the easier to obtain

Accidentally had some water left in my jar when i added my pulled naphtha and the weirdest thing happened. It froze in a weird shape inside the naphtha after the freeze precip. weird. atleast i was able to just take it out

anyway. have some shiny, shiny crystals. usally theyre just white or sometimes a little yellow. these are white and glistening and shining. not really any different purity it seems tho...

No. White spirit is heavier, meaning it'll pull more alkaloids and be harder to evaporate or precipitate the DMT.

no matter what i do i still end up with an oily goo... could it be the quality of the MHRB? i'm following noman's tek, and there is a decent amount of crystals in the freezer, but when they warm up they turn to oil...

it's weird that you'd need to defat mimosa in order to get crystals really...I'm not sure why you'd be getting an oil while freeze preciping, I assume you're getting nearly all of the solvent out of the jar while its still freezing cold?


If all else fails you can make some enhanced leaf with the oil
