For A/B's I think it'd be a good investment to get a vacuum filtration apparatus. Running things through gravity fed filters is one of the most frustrating processes in chemistry I've ever done.

About emulsions; I find they get bad if you shake the mix. Just turn the jar end over end, but don't shake it. The non-polar still makes contact with the freebased goodies, but there's not much of an emulsion formed.

For mimosa, personally I don't see why I would ever need to do a full A/B. I've only done the extraction once but it turned out to be pretty clean DMT with good yield on a STB. There's some yellow tinge but all in all it's pretty clean.

Sometime in the not too distant future some cactus material is going to get subjected to an A/B :)

Hey, there's hundreds if not thousands of plants containing DMT. Some have it in root bark, some in the leaves, some in the seeds... Very probably there's DMT containing plants growing everywhere in the world. Maybe even on your back yard ;)

Mimosa H. is the most often used plant because you can do easy STB extractions on it.

Although I will never do STB again. My first A/B pull gave me a whole whoppin' gram of white crystal! That's what I call yields! :)

Yes clutter sucks clucker sluts.

In a weeks time I will be doing another pull on a MHRB batch, this time with the right (lighter) fraction of naphtha.
And I also need to keep the pH high enough at some point, check that better - improve the tek... although I still
think I have loser bark so success will be limited.

Gonna blast off within a day or 2 as well <3 lovelyyyyyyy

lol i used to walk around in the woods looking for plants while high. i actually found some stuff once but it was just devils shoestring i think. it made my joints feel warm. dmt sounds like a nice trip. if teated with respect
 
hey peeps...

i just got 125g of powdered MHRB.. but had some questions about the quality of it. thought this would be the best place to ask about that... as im sure some of you guys have seen a fair amount of the stuff to know.

the thing is there is a big bunch of hairy fiberous material in with the pinky/purply powder ..obviously its the fibre from the bark. but do I need to take it out? or should it have been blended up into a powder too? or is it fine the way it is?

I guess I was just expecting the whole 125g to be a nice pinky/purply powder

Keep it and maybe chop it up or blend it up yourself and then use it with the rest of the powder.
 
a questio concerning freeze precipitation (noman's tek). sorry if it's been answered, but i couldn't find it.

should the collection jar(s) be open or closed when put in the freezer?
 
I'm doing an xtraction later (STB almost exact to IGNVS), and trying out freeze precip for the first time later.

My plan is after the naptha is in a large pyrex dish, to evap about 60% of it, and then move it to a 500ml mason jar.
From there, freezer for 8-24 hours
Then naptha ran through a coffee filter to get swimming crystals out.
Then scrape up my snow globes from the jar hopefully :)

Sound like I'm missing anything as far as freezing goes?
 
sounds like you got it down. Make sure you don't let water condense inside of your jar, so AFTER you pour out the naphtha close the jar until it has a chance to warm up
 
Just reporting back that the freeze precip (After 12-18 hours) is a SUCCESS. I'm talking snow white all inside the jar, with a bulk of crystals floating around in the naptha still. I ended up splitting my already evapped naptha into 2 jars and laying them out over ice inside the freezer. I'm so happy to see pure white crystal after getting really yellow oily crystals last time.
 
I heeded your advice and let the jars sit after pouring the naptha out. Thing is my snow globes about halved in size because I let them sit for too long (an hour)... Hoping that the re-evapped gets that white crystal again
 
ah yea a bunch probably redissolved in any remaining solvent.

I usually just hold my jar in my hands for like 5 minutes and then open it, but anyway...whether its pretty white in the end or not it'll be just as pure as when you saw it in the freezer.
 
Damn this bark might not be the best quality. .2g off of 4 pulls? I think ill do another pull with the mhrb slop thats been sitting for over 24 hrs now.
