If he lives somewhere where extractions aren't allowed putting a jar full of lighter fluid saturated with illicit drugs in the freezer might not go over well either ;)
 
i wont evap the whole jar in the house. or garage. would be quite dangerous and smelly. i'll find a suitable place. how long do you reckon it would take to evap the whole thing? the jar is around 330ml if i remember correctly. im gonna try and freezer it... but if worst comes to worst i'll evap it somewhere good

one thing i made a mistake on is used too much lye.. probably around 120g. will this fuck anything up? i read it should be ok, but i hope i havent done all this for nothing
 
Nah too much lye isn't an issue.

I tried was evapping down a half-pint mason jar with no fan or anything and after 6 hours it had only lost about 20ml or so..

When I put a fan on it I was able to reduce it in half after about 2 or 3 hours..

You *definitely* should partially evaporate it before you put it in the freezer. 330ml is entirely too much naptha, it isn't going to be saturated enough for the DMT to crash out. Ideally you should evaporate down to like 75-100ml before freezer precipitation.. (I evaporate until the solution gets cloudy at room temp -- then you know it is super saturated)
 
left it evaping over yesterday, today, tomorrow, will check it on monday
 
cant fan it, if people see me blowing a bottle with a fan theyll be like what the fuck are you doing? and i cant really think of an excuse to be blowing bottles of lighterfluid with a fan. lol. nothing will settle on it where ive put it. dont expect it will evap much over the weekend, but we'll see. im quite patient, hopefully the wait will be very worth it. i will feel proud
 
^Wow you still at it mate? Their gonna have them miners in chile extracted before you get your dmt extracted :)
Just kiddin', my advice for saving time in the future is precipitate your pulls separately, no evaporation needed so much quicker, and you can see how much spice your getting in each pull so can be sure when you have got it all.
I can generally have some smokable dmt around 6 hours after starting the process.
 
haha yeah ive been pretty slow at doing it. good idea, next time ill freeze my pulls separately. didnt think of that!

thanks man- the white stuff was freeze precip'd for 14 hours then poured out through a coffee filter and then DIY vacuum filtered til it was dry to the touch.

The shards are what wouldn't deattach themselves from the glass after I shook the jar up, sp I squirted hot lighter fluid into teh jar and evapped it over about 4 days, producing a bunch of crystals - one (my fave) I haven't taken off the dish yet, it's too beautiful to destroy - they're so fragile!

for freeze precipitation would people recommend a large evaping dish? or jars? probably wouldnt have a lid for the evapping dish and not sure if i want it stinking up the freezer

also was considering an A/B extraction- but i dont see much mention of it here- everyone prefers stb? lye is a pretty big detractor for me.

i prefer jars for the freezer precip -- you definitely want a lid so it doesn't stink your freezer up. also, after the crystals crash out and you drain the naphtha off you want to the jar upside down for another few hours for the excess naptha to drip off the crystals so they don't go back into solution as the residual naptha warms up, a lid is helpful for that. if you want to use a pyrex dish for whatever reason you can cover is with saran wrap.

I was considering an a/b, but someone here recommend an STB for my first time. the results I had were excellent and the process was simple so it works for me

if you don't like the idea of lye you can look on the nexus for q21q21's foodsafe tek.. it uses lime instead of lye and d-limonene for pulls rather then naptha, you could pull with naptha instead though if you didn't want a full spectrum end product
