Yeah DRIs are usually prescribed for ADHD not depression..
Re: amphetamines...don't see any point to take them concurrently with MXE. But a small dose 4 or 5 hours after an amphetamine dose makes the come down much more tolerable. perfect time for short term DRI activity.
NOTA BENE; All doses should be cautiously low because of so many reports of terrible interactions between MXE and other dopaminergic substances.

i didnt mean i combine it with amphetamine. I meant that the "anti depressant" effects are similar to that of amphetamine (which arent anti depressant at all).

When combining this with benzos its very different than taking Ketamine with a benzo.
K with a benzo nulls the psychedelic effects of the ketamine for me and i just feel monged out.
When taking MXE with with klonopin the experience doesnt become less psychedelic. It gets a lot more confusing though.

I didn't realise the death was that high profile. The only evidence we ever saw from it was a post on a Swedish forum, but it obviously alerted the attention of the Swedish authorities.

For people using methoxetamine regularly, how does the prospect of quitting completely seem to you? Is it daunting at all? Personally I haven't used MXE for about a month, my longest break since it arrived in November. It's not always on my mind any more, but from time to time I still wish I had some lying around.

I feel as though my natural state of mind has shifted considerably since I stopped taking MXE regularly. My mind is clearer, and my moods are gentler. The constant revelatory feelings have diminished, and I'm pretty sure this is due to the MXE leaving my system completely (as well as getting a lot more sleep).

The philosophical edge to my thoughts and feelings that MXE invoked was not necessarily a bad thing, but it does highlight the somewhat significant influence the drug has on conscience, especially when used in high doses. It is also this influence that made my use quite a hard habit to kick. This psychological hold it has can make quitting outright very challenging. Even now, I know I will probably dabble again. I feel that many regular users will find it difficult to stop completely should they be forced to. For those that don't have any incentive to stop, they continue may take MXE habitually simply because they want to, regardless of any awareness of their dependence. A happily dependent user won't stop just because they're dependent. The crave/satisfy behaviour, on top of the enjoyment of MXE itself, is a powerful reward, as I found. The willpower required to stop is significant.

I challenge any user to quit for quitting's sake. It's fucking hard!

amphetamine does get prescribed for severe depression.

MXE is really addictive. i don't have anymore of it, and i'm not sure if i'm happy or sad about that fact. just lost my job so i won't be buying more soon.

Sorry to hear that nightwatch. I hope the job loss was not related to the MXE addiction. Thanks to you and Delysid and others for warning about it.

A longtime friend of mine who is a big K fan just tried it and warned me that it made him "irrational" and wanting to take alot more of it right away, but too confused to remember how to use it. He suggested gettng out one or two doses then putting the rest of my supply away somewhere out of sight and wrapping it in a big red scary note to myself [I should probably add a few skulls & crossbones haha] to NOT use any more of it right then.

So now all this talk has me afraid to expose myself to it, haha. Not sure if or when I will try it.

Hopefully its not as compulsive as MDPV, which once I got some a couple years ago I was using almost every day for months till it was gone

I dont find it compulsive like MDPV. Maybe its tempting to do it everyday when I have, but I can stop when I decide I want to go to sleep.
Yes, last batch I could sleep on it, though I woke up feeling tired when I did it.

well, if i hadn't done MXE i wouldn't have broken my toe, and wouldn't have called in sick on tuesday... but i've punched in a minute or two late many, many times, and that was more of a factor in my firing than MXE was... MXE was perhaps the straw that broke the camel's back though.

It's not compulsive like MDPV at all. I don't find the need to compulsively redose if I have the dose right, which for me is usually 100mg for decent trip, 50 mg for a nice sociable experience. I've done things like take 50 mg twice in a night, or 30 3 times. But when I take 100mg there is no need to redose (except that time I went up to 300mg to experience a strong trip).
It's addictive in another way. Like it feels damn nice so you feel like using it often.
This isn't the case for everyone but if you find ketamine addictive, which for me is the most addictive substance ive ever tried, you'll likely find this addictive.

Well thats reassuring Delsyd. My friend is a HUGE compulsive user of K... when he can afford to get some he seems to hoover 5g or so up within a week if he has it. Now ME, I tried some of his racemic K several times and really didnt like it alot... made me feel cold robotic and alien inside, like all my human feelings were somehow turned off. He is insisting I will like the S-isomer alot better, but I've not tried that yet. SO anyway, perhaps I won't care for the MXE enough for it to become too habitual... though he says it is a little more stimulating that K... and to him LESS euphoric... I like stimulating things, but also like euphoric things, so I have no guess... will probably try it this weekend.

No, it isn't. I find ketamine to be incredibly addictive. I went through 10 grams of methoxetamine in two months. It has been a month now since I ran out and I can most sincerely state that I can either take it or leave it. It's great fun but no big whoop.

That's your experience, and while it's valid, I've seen a lot of evidence to the contrary too. It's safest to say it might.

i just tried this for the first time earlier, having some dissociative experience (nitrous a bunch of times, dxm a few times, various psychs).

i didnt want to be overwhelmed or anything so i figured id start low. tried 25 sublingual. not very dissociating really, which is the effect i was hoping to notice. i never really had any CEVs or joining any hivemind really. there was some empathy briefly and i noticed i was walking a bit bad and there was some brief spinning. there was also some numbness and i sorta felt a little opiate effect briefly. i bet i could take 35 and not be as dissociated as i would like. i did think that i was giving some cool lightshows on it.. if anyone takes drugs for that reason like i do

definitely feeling the manic effects now though, moving around a lot faster, feeling better about myself, like im going to be doing things and such. we'll see if this trails off into some sort of afterglow that helps me get work done, but w/e.

i definitely have some addictive personality traits, and a couple times i was like oh fuck i really enjoy this. luckily i only have a sample and an empty bank account, so i cant go crazy on this stuff even if i wanted to. and i do realize it is addictive, so ill keep an eye on that.

definitely a very fun drug, but cant help but feel that im barely scratching the surface of it... probably a bad thing for an addictive drug. sorry for the wall of text.

LOL.... lessee... if you did 150mg every day for 60 days thats only 9g and you did more than that.

BUT you were able to quit cold turkey after all that with no problems.

OK so lets replace "addictive" with "compulsive."

10 grams in 2 months is a hell of a binge. You may have stopped using for a month, but that statistic suggests that you consumed it very frequently and at high doses. I think therein lies the danger of MXE. When it's in supply, it will probably get used habitually.

i haven't found it all that compulsive. I obtained some about 6 weeks ago and still have the bulk of it. After low dose tests, started with 16mg orally, then later insufflated 12mg & a little later 10.5mg. After that had no issue with not taking more. The second time i used it was with a couple of fellow psychonauts, I insufflated about 45mg over roughly 90 mins, they both used about 35mg, IIRC. Then we discovered the crazy synergy with cannabis if smoked at or near the peak.. wild ride. Third time i took 22mg about an hour into a 4-HO-MET trip. Interesting combo, though i could've used a little more metocin. May repeat it, may not. Definitely planning on combining it with some other tryptamines though. DPT & MET sound like they'd go particularly well with MXE.

Think its been about a month since i've taken any MXE, and I am planning on taking some in the relatively near future, but it isn't consuming my thoughts or anything. I wonder if some of this is dose dependent, as i stayed on the low end.

i said to myself i wouldn't order any more mxe... but im kind of compelled to order some more. i havent done very much in the past, abuse of this substance wont be an issue to me. each experience has been wild, strange, and euphoric. it kinda unplugs my brain. its amazing stuff, but very weird sometimes

i can definatly see it being habit forming. it sort of "calls my name" during the week when im not using it. i think about it alot, usally my thoughts consist of "damn i really want to hit some mxe" but i dont. its not a horribly strong urge but it is there.
ive also noticed tolerance go up, the duration of the drug shortens but still packs the same punch as when i was first experimenting with it. 50 mgs used to last a minimum of 4 hours and now it lasts only 2 max.
