Selegiline is a MAOI right? After a great deal of searching i found a small amount of information stating MAOI is contraindicated with beta-blocker.
 
Hi. Greenlighter here. I'm bipolar and on a bunch of meds: Lamictal, Depakote, Abilify, and Xanax and Dexedrine.
I dropped 2 hits of strong, quality acid for the first time about a week ago and nothing happened. I got the jitters, but not even the faintest visual or change in consciousness. I know I didn't get ripped off; everyone else I know "tripped balls" off the same batch and said it was the "cleanest" they'd ever had. I'm guessing the Abilify is to blame, since I was on a low dose of Depakote and Lamictal doesn't seem to interact with anything negatively.
 
Also, I ate 4g of mushrooms back when I was on Zoloft, Lamictal, Abilify, and Depakote, and absolutely nothing happened. Again, I wasn't ripped off; my brain is just too doped up on meds to respond to anything interesting.
 
Time to wait before DXM and claritin.

Hello, bluelight. This is my first post but I've been lurking for maybe a year. I love the community here, very nice and considerate.

I've always kind of disliked the idea of tripping off cough syrup, but I love dissassociatives so I've been kind of wanting to give it a try. I hear that you should wait 6 weeks after taking claritin before using DXM, but that just seems like a huge gap and incorrect. I've been using claritin off and on for about 3 months. Do you guys think waiting three days would be enough time or should I just wait the six weeks out?
 
Okay cool, I'm just gonna start with a first plateau dose (100 mg probably) anyways, just to see if i'm allergic to it or body doesnt react very well to it.
 
dont feel weird about tripping with cough syrup. Its a recreational drug that just happens to have a medical use =D
Heroin used to be used for TB as an anti tussive.
If LSD were used medically, would it be weird if we still tripped on it

I remember from the DXM faq (you can find it on erowid) that 2 weeks between claratin and dxm is what you want. Though theres a bunch of threads with people having them at the same time and having no probs. I think it might be a theoretical danger but i've never heard of a case of something going wrong (though thats not so say its never happened)
 
Yeah claritin seems to have some negative views tied with it and DXM.

Good call on doing the 100mg for now, get a feel for it. Granted its totally different at low doses. 100mg makes a great social lube too.

Do something around 4-6mg/kg next time after you do this. You may also want to get some cheap allergy pills (like generic storebrand, or some benadryl) and just do a small medicinal dose. People get that robo-itch. A routine anti-histamine will help, at least its helped my friends out. Im lucky enough not to get itchy. But it can ruin trips from what I hear.

Is DXM contradicted with other antihistimines as well? I was only aware of CPM causing problems.

So far, I've never heard anything else negative. I would not attempt to do a high dose of the two though. I personally had only heard POTENTIAL problems with the claritin, never any actual issues.

But I dont think it would be smart to throw down a buttload of Benadryl and Dex on the same night. Unless you like being a guinea pig.

Not familiar with Allegra, cant say, do googling.

CPM is the big nono. Diphenxxxxx is pretty safe in regular doses (its what i've used, I looked it up).
 
ok, i just gulped down 100mg about 10 minutes ago, how long until i start feeling the shit?

I mean i feel a little different but I think it might just be placebo.

Well its a really different type of high thats for sure, to tell you the truth i dont know if i like it or not yet.
 
takes about 3 hours to peak for me w/ syrup

Listen to some music, it always brings out the euphoria for me.

Personally I don't like it. But 100mg isn't really enough to tell for sure, as it feels different than higher doses. If you don't feel just plain bad and poisoned, you should try a full dose next time. The 100mg is for checking for enzyme deficiency that would make DXM very dangerous for you to take a full dose of. About 7% of a population or something has it (the deficiency, not the enzyme).
 
It felt kind of shitty, I didnt really like it. The euphoria was weird, I wasnt really happy but it was just like total apathy to everything but not like opiates, which I guess isn't even euphoria anyways haha. When I was peaking it felt like I was going down a fall on a rollercoaster, it wasnt particularly scary or anything but it I just didnt really find it enjoyable. And it kind of made my memory go to shit while I was on it. Music also sounded rather shitty on it.

It also made me real jittery. I was shaking uncontrollably and could not stop fidgeting with shit, it was reminiscent of speed actually.

hmm that is very strange, ive never heard of anyone doing that. i dont know if you want to do this but next time try a higher dose (300mg), and smoke a couple bowls.. best trip in the world imo
 
Yeah, thats kind of what I was thinking, the second plateau sounds more my style anyways.

However, I do have a horrible hangover just from the small dose. Maybe it is a lack of sleep but I feel exhausted and shitty.
 
Something to note, first time i tried 300mg (no weed) and had a hangover that left me feeling genuinely retarded for a few days. Tried 300mg WITH weed and i felt fine the next day. Not sure if it was the weed or some other factor.
 
What is the word on mirtazapine (remeron)?
I've found no interactions with empathogens.
In theory it should reduce or eliminate the effect of 5ht psychedelics (remeron antagonizes 5ht2a), but there are anecdotes of it dramatically increasing fx....weird...
