I take 150mg Effexor XR (extended-release venlafaxine HCl) once daily and have been for a couple months. It's an SNRI, not SSRI.

I was sitting on the couch watching TV and 15mg 2C-E popped out of the TV and landed in my lap. (I know it's miraculous! =D)

Anyways, what is the difference between SNRI's and SSRI's as far as interaction with seretogenics go, if any?
 
What goes for SSRI's should go for SNRI's as well, but an extra note of caution on the phenylethylamines too as regards things like heart rate but I'd wager that concern to be largely theoretical.
 
Do not mix psychedelics with Accutane/isotretinoin. Bad news written all over it.
 
Naltrexone and LSD?

Thread belongs in PD or BDD or ADD?? Please move if necessary :)

Anyway, does anyone know if LSD is contraindicated whilst taking naltrexone for alcoholism? Are there any issues with reduced effect of the LSD, or other undesirable effects?? I will have been on naltrexone 50mg sid for 6 days when I plan to be tripping.

Alcohol on comedowns is alright.

Ketamine is where its at for the tail end of a trip.

My god have i been spastic under such circumstances.

This I have yet to try, and I am keen as beans to do so!!

Also, I have never gone through an acid comedown without drinking heavily. So I'm not sure how this will be, cleaner or harder??
But as I said, I will report back.
 
You should encounter no issues I take suboxone which contains that and I've never had naything but glowign perfection
 
Ketamine might(?) interact slightly, probably not much andnot dangerously, but there mgiht be a slight effect. I am not sure.

so. i know that there may be potential ill effects if i take zolft and st.john's wort together....my question for all of you is- has anyone weened off of zoloft while taking st.john's at the same time?

my doc moved me from cymbalta to zoloft due to a problem with insurance....i did not want to be on an anti-depressant to begin with when i started the cymbalta...i take tramadol everyday for pain and it just seems risky.....is it safer to use the st.john's wort? i mean, if i can take these strong pharms with the tramadol, then st.john's would be less risky, right?

so, after all that, please if any of you have weened from an SSRI to st.john's, i would love to hear your experience....
 
LSD with an SSRI antidepressant?

Is it safe to take LSD while on an SSRI antidepressant? I can't imagine two neural drugs at the same time would be real safe, but I'm not a scientist.

The antidepressant in question is: Lexapro

EDIT: well i feel stupid. I did a quick search on the subject and turned up nothing, but after I posted this I searched again and out of curiosity clicked on a post terribly named Quick Question. It answered all my questions. Bad post names make me mad.

I'm pretty sure that an SSRI will stop LSD from working, but I might be wrong. I don't know all that much about LSD but I've been on every SSRI ever made. In an episode of house I think he takes Zoloft to stop tripping so I think the SSRI blocks the mechanism that LSD works on.
