I know there is recreatinal value in DXM. Question was is there any recreational value combing speed & DXM. Anything else besides Zicam spray?

Personally I don't think mixers work - it just means there's more stuff to drink, still tastes sickly and thick - also, the last thing you want is more sugar after the glucose/fructose in the syrup.

Here's a method which works for me:

Get some of your standard mouthwash - they're usually mint flavoured. Swoosh a bit around your mouth for a couple of minutes then spit it out. This builds up a bit of a barrier preventing the taste of the syrup. Pinch your nose, tilt your head back and down the whole amount in one go, and if you're lucky you won't actually taste any of it.

Rinse with water and spit. Optionally go for more mouthwash if there's any lingering taste to disperse.

I have downed 2x200ml bottles this way relatively easily. Never thrown up or had nausea either, although I may just be lucky in that regard?

Much easier than trying to get yourself to drink that last 30ml or so after the taste/thickness of the syrup has put you off.

Combinations with stimulants are best avoided for DXM. Although serotonin syndrome is fairly unlikely with amphetamine (or something comparable) and DXM, concurrent use of these drugs can cause hypertensive problems, and is certain to exacerbate the neurotoxic properties of both drugs.

There is less in that combo than taking either seperately. Snorting dexamphetamine or cocaine will produce -no- rush and add almost nothing to the high. Really, adding speed to dxm makes me feel less high. and the morning after is a lot harder. There will be no glow, and you feel a lot more stupid (particulary vocabulary) than the morning after from either drug.

DXM lowers the "alpha" signals in your heart, then raises them on the comedown The second type of "signal" in your heart is the "beta" type. Stimulants often raise either or at least beta. Anyways, mixing ups and downs on these signals are a good way to get hurt.

A bluelighter once required hospitalzation from a dxm + ephedra mix.
 
Thanks for the info. Think it will be my last time with DXM though. No small feeling like an atom hallucinations or robot walk after two months off it, but then again i did abuse it before then.
 
Okay, so I have 510mg of DXM Polistirex, 200mg of DXM HBr and 480mg of Pseudoephedrine. I know you want to avoid Pseudoephedrine, but my question is, would I feel the effects of Pseudoephedrine? Rather, would it overpower the DXM?

I was originally only going to take the DXM Polistirex, but found out that it is weaker and I wanted a quicker rush (You can only get pure DXM Polistirex where I live, no HBr) so I decided to add the 200mg DXM HBr/480mg Pseudoephdrine. Would I still have a good time if I just took the DXM Polistirex? This is my 3rd time taking DXM (other times were through powder) and I weigh roughly 145 pounds.
 
i've no clue who, but i've heard that one of our fellow bluelighters was hospitalized from a combination of dxm and ephedrine. i wouldn't do it myself, and i've done some really stupid combinations...

That is a terrible, extremely dangerous idea. 480mg pseudoephedrine combined with a high dosage of DXM could kill you.

Yes, especially if you are combining it with cannabis.

DXM + Weed is WAY better than DXM on its own.
 
^good call. BTW, how high did you dose for your first three trips?
 
I did first/second plateau doses. I've been wanting a more psychedlic experience recently, as I haven't been able to find many psychs in my area, even though K and MDMA are plentiful (I've been trying to find LSD for a while...). I believe what I plan on taking is a 2nd/3rd plateau dose, so hopefully it can bring what I'm asking for (I also bought a new bong which I'll be trying out with my DXM dose, so it should be fun).
 
510mg of DXM Polystirex should keep you on the second plateau for at least 6-7 hours if you're smoking weed throughout the trip. I wouldn't expect to hit the third at that dosage, but you'll still have a lot of fun.

Get a good music playlist set up beforehand. The music euphoria during my first dozen second plateau DXM + Weed trips was incredible. Making music your only sensory input can make the experience trance-like and highly visual (not to mention very euphoric) if that's what you're looking for.
 
Upper plaeaus will make it downright impossible to really process and appreciate music however, if you ever consider doing that. I still like to play it anyway. I haven't tried anything that beats the music euphoria of low plateau dxm trips myself.

Weed is gonna make DXM drastically stronger if you didn't already know, waaay stronger.

I tried oxy with dxm last night. Pretty much blackout, but I do remember it was so powerful that I was talking to entities. Hopefully the memories will return within a few days.
 
Okay, what type of music would you suggest for DXM tripping? I have lots of good rap, and I'm trying to expand my Trance, but I have a fair bit of Trance as well.
