delsyd provided a good link for the ab tek its also on the erowid dxm faq. its much better to make a fb gelcap rather than ingest all the nasty gunk in the syrup/gelcaps. ab extraction takes point five hour and dry time thats it. good space travels. does anybody notice that high level dextromethorphan trips are a game you play on yourself? Sure seems like it to me, a many part game of very unused parts of your brain movin real quick. rip derek gertz
 
Toast to the Spirits: DXM is known to release histamine in your body which causes itching. In me it is so bad that i scratch til I bleed, the easiest way to fix it is to take a hayfever tablet with it (zyrtec works really well) or any anti-histamine. This fixes the itching 100%. You can also have a shwoer if you feel itchy and that will usually clear it up, and it feels goooooooood too while you're on dxm :D
 
Self-control on DXM

I was wondering if a person under the influence of DXM (third plateau) would have any control in keeping quiet. In other words, not making any sounds that could wake up a certain roommate?
 
Umm... am I missing something here?

Load up a good tripping playlist and lay down in a bed, and you'll probably be silent for the next 4 hours give or take. When the music becomes your world, there is no need for any other noise. Most people will just think you are asleep.
 
Yeah I could keep quiet .

I love lying in my duvet on dxm drifting off to sleep listening to my music . It's bliss .
No need to talk .
 
Shouldn't be a problem. It's never made me lose control in that way (just lose control of my limbs lol)

^Not a bad call. Dark electronic music is also a lot of fun on DXM. Have fun!
 
Don't be in a setting where you have to. On a low second plateau, I felt DXM impairing my judgment. If you made a decision before the journey to keep quiet, it could be possible to stick with that. However, even if you do manage to keep quiet, it will likely feel like you are being held back.

Shpongle is awesome. :D Listen to the new album (Ineffable Mysteries From Shpongleland) if you have not already.

ineffable mysteries from shpongleland is just icing on the cake, because in my humbled opinion everything that shpongle, hallucinogen, aka simon posford makes is amazing trance. a few months ago when i heard the new album my world expanded a whole bunch.

dissociative shpongle is the best and unless you loose control and turn it up super loud dancing (unlikely on dxm) you need not worry.

im excited to see shpongle /dance to shpongle in april! anyone in the midsouth going?

DXM - Cough Syrup Drill

I have a cough syrup here "Drill"

Its in french because its from Tunisia but its easy to understand.

Bromhydrate de Dextromethorphane - 0.300g

Parahydroxybenzoate de methyl 0.0450g
Parahydroxybenzoate de propyl 0.0225g

Lycasin 100ml

Are the ingredients safe to consume large doses?
 
At the very least you will get pretty ill at worst it could kill you. Get DXM only cough syrup or gel caps and stay away from coriceden or any thin with similar or same ingredients.
 
actually, I think that french preperation is pretty close to pure DXM.

That's DXM + two types of preservatives all inside corn syrup. Here in america, we don't list the preservatives as an active ingridient. I doubt they're all that different from sodium benzoate, which I've consumed crap loads.

Check for allergic reaction!

Aside from that, I don't think a single bottle will do serious harm. But I ain't a chemist or doctor, just a dxm-junkie.
 
Also does anyone know of a good mixer for robitussin? Ive tried coke in the past & it made the taste worse, even thicker syrup
