The Big & Dandy AL-LAD Thread - Part 1

I got to try it too, and it was quite nice although slightly less potent than LSD itself. I took 150 ug (one blotter) and I think 250 ug would have been a better dose.

Subjective differences to LSD....it was more soft, smooth, and very feminine. Colours were funnily more over in the allylescaline range of color: magenta, purple, deep blue.

My first impression is that it's not really a party psychedelic, but more a kind of hedonistic lounge psychedelic.

Got to try a larger dose though. (I will move this post to the AL-LAD thread when it pops up again)

Edit: Let me add, I swallowed the blotter right away. I'm 110 % sure it wasn't an NBOMe.

I've bought some before it is too late but unfortunately it will be quite some time before I actually get to try them...

Hope it lasts for you & that concerns over degradation are ott. Still, just in case, I'd start ranting about the multiple layers of thick, strong baggies, shit loadsa dessicant & brown rice & maximum air displacement & tight seal before freezing if I didnt suspect you already know exactly what you're doing.
 
Hello all ! i just dropped 2 150ug al-lad white blotters am considering adding 5 meo mipt once it kicks in and a little 4 ho met snorted once the first 2 peak, any thoughts or suggestions ? ill def. keeo u guys updated on how it goes.
 
So I tried what was supposed to be 150 mcg of Al-LAD and I found it very pleasant ( OBS I took 1/4 first and waited an hour and then took the rest ).
I found 150 mcg to be pretty weak but I still had a wonderful time. Next time I think I'll try 150 mcg + 75mcg or maybe 300mcg if I feel adventurous.
Been a long time since I did LSD but I want to say that it was LSDish but calmer, I sometimes feel a bit stressed on LSD, something I didn't feel on AL-LAD ( might be just because it was a weak trip ). I did also have a little bodyload but nothing that was a problem.

Note that this is all from a single experince and can be a fluke, but I will definetly investigate this material.

Yes, precisely. More calm than LSD. This is why I thought it's not so much recreational as LSD (as in wanting to dance and stuff) But more inviting for lounging. Buut that will probably be different at higher doses.

I forgot to mention in my earlier post that as other people already has reported, I too found the onset to be 2 hourish, longer than LSD, and that the total duration did'nt seem to be more than 6 hours. I'm unsure of the duration though, because I had a bit of pretty weak shiva blotter LSD 3 hour in.
 
I just wana say. wow ! i didnt even combine anything with 300ug al-lad. its was VERY nice. THE closest think to LSD ive tried in the tryptamine rcs. very euphoric, smooth, no alot of anxiety if any. i actually just ordered 25 more lol i actually got a 10 strip of the dolphin ying yangs of lsd and these blow those out of the water ! ive bought acid prob 10 times in my life, 5 were fake give or take and the other 5 times it was good, 1-2 hits and your frying. i would never consider taking 3-4 of those but the ying yang dolphins im thinking at least 3-4 just to trip properly. so ill take al lad anyway ! im going to stock up while i can. we call in Alladin here btw.

o yea and thats another thing, it took 2hrs to geel first effects. i thought it was gonna be lame a hour in. so it takes a tad bit longer to kick in, but 2 hrs and your good !

I want to find a source of this that I can tolerate. Had a reaction to the blotter I took.

But anyways, I saw the "Alladin"as well :)

That trip ended up being amazing. I barely got any anxiety throughout the whole trip. Laying in the dark with some good music really helped amplify the effects. I would say it was a moderate level trip; not over-whelming but not weak. Actual tripping effects lasted around 6-8 hours but more mild effects lingered on allot longer until I went to bed about 12 hours after dropping. I didn't really have much trouble sleeping. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what realms higher doses will bring me to.

This was actually something I saw as something positive and increased the recreational value a bit, but that's just subjective on how you like to use psychedeilcs.

And lastly, I didn't look too closely at the time but I did notice that it still increased after the first hour.

Absolutely, I deffinitely don't see it as something negative either. It just has to fit the setting :D

It was definitely orally active, and was felt within the hour. At three hours I experienced wall breathing. I was at work. I wasn't expecting it to hit me like this. Color shifting, some anxiety.

The blotters I got left a strange "coin" taste in my mouth for the duration of the day. I didn't enjoy this at all. I think it was from the ink used to line it. I also had a chemical reaction/ allergic response to something on the blotters... Probably the ink. This manifested as at first lump in the throat feeling, which I can't really say didn't come from the laundry detergent I spilled on my hand after iso alcohol was also spilled on it. Then I felt it in my left sinus and through my left jaw line. Lots of tension. As well it was felt down my left side. Mostly tension. I have had this before with some LSD blotters. It is likely something it is laid with. Perhaps impure solvent leaving something behind, or the ink on blotter. I'm allergic to soy which is what the inks arr often based on. I'm also chemically sensitive, but recently had some very clean LSD, with no such reaction. It was also WoW with no ink lines.

Wish I didn't have this illness. Wish I could find this in pure crystal form, or at least on pure white.

I can I guess find pure crystal but it involves spending *no price discussion*.

I had my second trial last night at 225ug and must say i did not find it as enjoyable as my first time at 150ug. Just swallowed it this time no messing about with it on my gums and the come up was much quicker.This did produce a lot more bodyload this time as i was stretching and moaning for most of the come up till it peaked.Ate blotters at 8pm peaked by about 11pm and i was asleep by 6am with the help of some mam2201 blend i had made at a 10 to 1 ratio. Quite strong but i do have a high tolerance. I dont think i will do over 150ug again as the quality of trip was no better at the higher dose and the bodyload for me was really uncomfortable. It may be that im too old now and the body cant take it like it used to.Was listening to this on the come up just about 10pm and it absolutely blew me away. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1ce_u_VuF4. There was no time at all i didnt feel in control this time around and didnt get any fear at all like last time but i knew what was coming this time. Got up today and yes the afterglow is there again.

There are two things that I believe have not been discussed in this thread so far:

First, nobody mentionned the fact that Nichols often talked about AL-LAD (example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=ZJtdZUy1LYE#t=2393s table around 40 minutes) always mentioning the fact that the active dose really seems to be higher than that of LSD-25 (in my link: 110% the potency of LSD-25 in humans, 285% (!) in rats). Even Shulgin seems to argue in favor of that idea with his dosage range of 80 to 160 µg (against 60-200 µg for LSD-25).
And yet the latest TR seem to view this batch as weaker than your regular lucy. Call me paranoid but I find this suspicious...

Second, everybody seem to say that there is probably only one current supplier, and it is very likely also an LSD-25 lab. I disagree for one reason: Cabergoline. Cabergoline is an EXTREMELY available ergot alkaloid that bares strong similarities with AL-LAD. Cabergoline is used in humans as a prolactine inhibitor (Dostinex, etc.), and in veterinary medicine as a lactation suppressant (Galastop). It being uncontrolled makes it basically as available as Viagra on indian online pharmacies, and it is also sold as an RC ("not for human consumption"). It has never been this popular, especially among bodybuilders, and males willing to reduce their post-orgasm refractory phase (thereby making it possible to experience multiple orgasms more easily).

I believe the recent appearance of AL-LAD is a direct consequence of the increase in availability of Cabergoline over 2012, and I tend to doubt the idea that the source is an LSD lab.

What do you think?

Nice idea but I don't think so. You can't produce AL-LAD from Cabergoline as the 9,10 bond is saturated - you would end up with something completely inactive. I don't think synthesis discussion is allowed so I'm going to leave it at that.
 
Well, if i look at the molécule in wikipedia, the double bond in the lysergic part of Cabergoline seems to be saturate.
You know you cant do LSD with dihydroergotamine, look like the same if you want to make AL-LAD from Cabergoline.

Took 2 blotters ( 300 mg ) it was at the same level of potency than same dose of LSD.
I ate a little meal 1h30 prior the AL-LAD, and the come up occure in less than an hour ( 45 mnt for the first serotonin yawns ).
Full effect at H+1H30.
As others said, the end of the trip was sudden, but after i could not sleep more easely than with LSD.
I found it a little more visual than LSD.
Visuals were typical LSD like, but somewhat lake the beauty, the crisp art feeling of the original.
AL-LAD makes me more wonky than LSD to.
The trip was OK but lake the depth of LSD, like to be in a park VS in the nature.
Sort of Hoffman bicycle with little weels on each side, can ride OK, but cant go wild.

All it all it seams to me like 4-acoMET is to 4-acoDMT.
Its a good stuff for introducing newbys to hallucinogenes, but as fare as i can juge with only one trip with AL-LAD, i prefere LSD.
