15 with mushies then a week later with LSD
I feel I was ready as those two experiences changed a LOT for me

I dropped some shrooms for the first time when I was 19. I think it was the perfect age for me to begin my psychedelic journey. Now I'm 20 and still continuing down that path. I've tripped out before thinking about if 19 was the right age for me to begin, and I feel it was the right time. Any younger and it would have just been a drug to get fucked up on, but now I can think about the universe and go deep into my psyche. Pure bliss. It's really helped me evolve as a person.

I took psilocybe mushrooms for the first time on my 16th birthday. Still one of my best trips ever. I also took dxm for the first time at 16 however it was a few months after my birthday.
If were counting weed, which it appears some of us are, then 15.

at that age i got into lsd, mdma, mushrooms and pot.
My first was LSD though, perhaps thats why it holds a special place in my heart (or maybe its all the blissfull experiences its given me).

However, I never really 'got much', nor was I mature enough to really understand those experiences until I was much older. I'd say around 21, 22 is when my psychedelic trips really started having a major impact as far as my outlook into spirituality and the world around.

I agree with this completely. I was strikingly ignorant about my drugs for a remarkably long time. Now that I'm older and the psychedelic experience that is my life has had time to integrate itself, I can say with absolute certainty I'm glad I did everything the way I did. It's how shit had to happen, and I'm overjoyed I am the person I am. Being alive is crazy!

E, mushrooms, and LSD all 18-19. I'm still 19 now, but it's been a good 6-8 months since i've touched anything, and i think i'll slowly get back into it. I feel like i rushed into the experiences a bit too quickly, so i'm going to slow it down and really enjoy them this year when i get the chance.

I agree with you there . My first LSD experiments which was on top of MDMA and weed (age 15) certainly didn't leave me with much except the idea tht acid was the hardest drug out there. Yes, that was a stage when that reasoning meant a lot to me. Thank god I tried acid instead of heroin. I would also say at about 20-21 was when I started taking something from the experiences. I had about two years away from psychedelic (not incl. MDMA or pot) excepting a radom trip when RC's were in my country. It feels like when I decided to take somethign from the tip, thats when they started to give.

I don't think MDMA is strecthing it at all. It can be very "psychedelic" in its own meagre little way.

Someone said something about integrating psychedelia with everyday experience; I like to reverse that, and call it integrating psychedelia into everyday experience. I believe that is the danger of starting young; it can be hard to turn back

I had my first mushroom experience at the tender age of 15 (22 now), and if I had the choice to go back in time, I wouldn't change a thing. That was the single moment that sparked my dissent in accepted values and the beginning of my full understanding the trappings of mental conditioning. Plus it brought me up to par with nature, of which I'm very much a big part of now.

Can young heads with long hair be hippies? Because that's my unnofficial nickname (or "hip" for short). I've just always been a bohemian type, never knew if there was an age limit or not.

I first tried Salvia at 21. Tripped on that a few times and wanted to expand to something a bit more gentle and enjoyable.

I just had my first mushroom experience a few days ago at 22. It was absolutely amazing in every respect.

I can't tell whether it's unfortunate or not but chances are that some of us will end up dead before that happens.

Damn you guys waited forever to start taking drugs..

I had my first 2 trips when I was 13 going on 14, I triped one night, then the next day my parents knew something was up and were asking me if I was on drugs, they didn't know exactly what was up but I was paranoid so I at the other 2 hits I had to umm get rid of them? not a smooth move.. wasn't as intense as the forst trip cause of the tolerence but it wasn't good either.

The first night it was cool for about 3-4 hours, then I began to wig out a bit, didn't think I'd come down, called the friend I got it from but he wasn't home, his dad answered the phone and I hung up like shit! called a few other people and couldn't get them to wake up.. it was about 3-4 am when I wigged. I came down after a couple more hours and felt fine but a little shook up the next day.

Didn't try shrooms til 14, XTC for the 1st time at 15 with lsd at the same time.. that was awesome.. I tripped prolly over a hundred times between the ages of 13-14 and 18-19, had a lot of bad trips towrds the end and the last couple were all bad so I quit, still did ectasy occasionally until about a year ago, I never straight abused it like acid cause I'd read a lot about it losing its effects and people not being able to roll again after abusing it so I was cautious to wait at least 2 weeks and usually longer between rolling. Whereas a lot of time I dosed 3-4 times during a week, all summer long a couple summers.
