I don't understand all this talk of super-long lasting 4-MeO-PCP 'afterglow' or 'hangover' effects. I personally find it easier to sleep on (after) than with Ketamine...
280mg, plugged, will send you rocketing deep into a P-Hole within 15 minutes if you set the right conditions (i.e. dim lights, if not pitch black; lying comfortably etc..) and lasts probably the best part of 2-3hrs, with a slightly rubbish-y DXM-style feeling lingering for another 2-4hrs after the comedown... Which is hardly a comedown anyway, as it just sort of drifts away as with Ketamine.
Perhaps it takes time to get used to it. Unlike Ketamine, a person dosed on 350mg of Phreak Dust can resist a P-Hole and just wallow in ultimate dissociation, and perhaps this is where the extended time effect comes from. Having used 4-MeO-PCP a number of times, many times, and with doses nearing ~400mg plugged, I have found that, unless you submit to the P-Hole, you will find yourself stuck in a "living dissociation"; this is what I think people may be mistaking as this crazy-long duration... Just a hypothesis.
A P-Hole is nothing like a K-Hole. Well, in a sense, it's exactly like a K-Hole (complete shift in reality and a movement into a 3rd person perspective), but it's 10x more pronounced with 4-MeO-PCP than with Ket. It last for hours, not just 40 odd minutes and it a LOT more tactile and full of movement and clearer, more vivid, and more red imagery*.
I'm not saying I don't believe these reports here, because - of course - they're subjective and there seems to be a trend appearing. Or at least in the slightly older posts. I think perhaps those who have had either "neutral" or "negative" experiences with this RC may want to give it another go, but be willing to fully commit themselves to the drug rather than just 'testing the water'. Plug, lights off, lie down would be my advice.
Of course, I am only saying this hypothetically. I do not advocate the use of this chemical whatsoever
* This is not just me; it seems to be a distinct facet of 4-MeO-PCP that there is a heavy red tint to all OEV's and CEV's (in much the same way mushrooms do). Or at least a certain synth back maybe a year ago, but I have a feeling it is to do with the substance itself...
