Hmm not really any physical discomfort. The flashes did seem to appear either to the upper left or upper right, and at one point from directly behind me. At first I thought my fuse box had just blown up. Just thought I'd ask, because no other psychedelic has done anything like this to me.

2c-e is so beautifully complex there's no way I will not be doing it again ;)


And oh my, playing guitar.... Timing and notes and structure that just... man what a tool 2c-e can be!!!

Playing guitar on 2C-E is indeed awesome. It really opened my eyes (or ears, if you will) quite a bit and got me out of a bit of a playing rut I've been in. The only thing that gets me is that on higher doses, tactile sensations from the body high make the feeling of the metal strings on my fingers way too intense. I had so much tactile stimulation that I just couldn't take it and had to put the guitar down. That was on my higher 22mg trip though, and it just generally pounded the shit ouf of me in an enjoyable kind of way. :P

Though I've never experienced this on 2c-e, you are describing my experiences--everything, the flash, the electric jolt, the shocking staccato sound--of the jarring transition of ego dissolution into ego death, which is the same for me regardless of substance. Maybe you were scrapping the edge but just didn't go over? Listen to "She Moves She" by Fourtet and see if the distortion effect employed therein, if made by a jackhammer, isn't a similar sound.
 
Be careful trying this one with a significant other ... staring into my girlfriend's eyes, her face would break into sharp geometric shapes, which would then twist into weird contortions that looked like some creepy, evil mask. This was about a year ago on 18 mg. Although I don't judge a trip by it's visuals they were second to none.

2C-B creates a lot of pretty standard distortions and waviness in my visual field, but 2C-E seems to have a lot more than just predictable distortions and movment. At one point the ceiling in my room disappeared and I thought I was looking into the night sky, stars and all.

Needless to say, the headspace is excellent as well.
 
Looking at my self in the mirror was the only negative effect I've had on 2C-E. My face would morph and I'd look like the devil. I quickly stopped staring and moved on.
 
2C-E is really special. Krazycrow, I've also started to wonder about the inconsistencies in dose. I had a "shattering experience" (a good way to put it) on 2C-E with 18mg, and since I've had dosages from 18-22mg and had nothing even remotely approaching the strength of that trip. I wonder why that is?

2C-E's visuals are really unique, astoundingly complex and fractal in nature and also with the most saturated and beautiful colors I've ever seen. Although I don't normally pay too much attention to visuals, 2C-E's visuals are so breathtaking that I can't ignore them, but fortunately the visuals play right into the mind trip. To me 2C-E feels extremely ancient and organic, but at the same time mechanical or something. To me it feels "further up on the chain" than mushrooms and LSD. The kind of experience I had on 2C-E that one night was orders of magnitude more intense and psychedelic than anything else I've experienced. It actually reminded me a lot of the The Matrix (the movie of course) except that in addition to seeing behind the scenes of everything, you're also god, which is also an illusion. I've been to the void through other means but 2C-E did it with the most impact, for sure 8o
 
^^ By its very nature a +4 is something you can't really recreate, as it isn't exactly tied to dosage or strength of effects. Perhaps it's possible, but so far I have not been able to obtain a +4 more than once with a given chemical, simply because after the first time you're already aware of what it's going to do to some extent.

But I think if there was a chemical that could produce a +4 more than once. it would be 2C-E! Well, besides the really strong, instant flash ones like DMT, 5-MeO-DMT, ketamine, and salvia.
 
Okay I figure I will add my two cents about 2c-e.

Out of all the phenethylamines I have tried, it is one of the monst impressive. My first experience with 18mg was mind blowing. I had previously tried 2c-i and 2c-b but 2c-e dominated those two by far. THe Closed eye visuals were astonishing. When I closed my eyes with headphones on I visualized a roller coaster which I rode, loops and all. When I opened my eyes my whole field of vision was heavily psychadelacziced. I saw all sorts of geometric shapes, even words appear on the wall. The mind state was amazing also. I puked at t+45 but it wasnt such a big deal.

Overall I have taken 2c-e 4 times. 18mg, 18mg, 16mg, 20mg...me thinks. I tried snorting two mg and eating 16mg my second time. I could feel the 2c-e within minutes of snorting it but it was painful. One of the worst things I have ever snorted.

I want to experiment further with 2c-e but at a higher dose, or possibly plug it. I rate it right up there with DOC but the body high for DOC I think is better. There is lots of euphoria with 2c-e but I get jittery sometimes on 2c-e while DOC is more relaxed like MDMA.

2c-e is also very "lsd-ish." I think there is a good chance that if you enjoy lsd, you will enjoy 2c-e, but I prefer lsd any day. I think there is a good reason why 2c-e is one of the most popular of the peas/tryptamines among those experienced psychonauts. It is powerful and unique, but like always, remember about set and setting. 16mg with some friends in the woods was fun but we should have planned better.

I have hit +++ on 2c-e and damn near close to ++++. My body did get used to 2c-e though like all other hallucinogens. My last experience (20mg) was nowhere near as powerful as my first (18mg). It has been almost two years so maybe I will have a go at it sometime soon again. Trip report maybe ??
 
i should be dipping into these waters again soon,what i felt in my last 30mg experience was that its gonna take several experiences to catch the full profundity of this compound.
 
Say someone takes a moderate dose of 2C-E on a Tuesday night. After taking 5-HTP and L-Tyrosine supplements daily for the rest of the week, do you think there would be some cross tolerance if this same person were to take MDMA on Friday night of the same week?
 
Nope, no cross tolerance whatsoever. ;)

One's a 5-HT2A agonist and the other is a SERT inhibitor (among other things). They really don't overlap much at all. I wouldn't even bother with the 5-HTP ... 2C-E doesn't deplete you serotonin.

That was very true with me. My first 18mg trip I witnessed fantastic visuals and a very enjoyable state which was extremely intense, but my mind never took off. I had a feeling the whole time of being at the edge of a massive psychedelic cliff, about to fall off, but I never did. I felt like there were these very deep currents I was close to being swept into, but I couldn't figure out how to do so; the state felt so undirected.

Then on my second 18mg trip, I spent some time meditating to music, and all of a sudden I was pulled into one of those currents and ended up having the most profound and intense experience of my life.
 
klowns i used to have the same attitude towards psychedelics that you do now,it was kind of a game of seeing how far i could push myself,and it ended up breaking me...i have come through these experiences a stronger person,but now that ive begun to discover the virtue of lower doses and more contemplation ive found many a way to enhance my experience without the need for more drugs....trust me on this dude,i know you seem to be experienced with psychs but your gonna get bitten in the ass bro...

There are several people on BL that have done the very same thing and if you look back through their posts, you can detect the point where they pushed their luck too far and received the sort of lesson in humility that really left them dazed & confused for quite a while. It will happen to you as well if you keep pushing it, as it does to everyone
 
really? hum. thats good to know. sometimes i love havin a nice stout beer on lsd. but i did notice that 2ci (sorry to change subject for 2 seconds) made me extremely sick and i was vomiting. we took about 18 mg. i realy didnt like it, so thats when we first busted out the 2ce and did that on top of it. 2ce produced no nausea for me. it was just great fun, and i felt like there may be potential for some to reach ++++ experiences. i had a +++ for sure, but it was nowhere near as transendintal or spiritual, or ego-deathy as shrooms. i find that no chemical can get me to a ++++ i need to injest whole plant/fungus/whatver and i feel the plants spirit guiding me throught the trip. thats why i call them, plant teachers. anyways
i dont really see how 2ce could cause anxiety.....but if that happens to you, instead of jumpin for something like a benzo, try to either face your fears, or if your just too uncomfortable, kava is FANTASTIC with shrooms at least. doesnt kill the trip at all, just kill any anxiety. dos of opiates always chills out a trip. and dont get me wrong, benzos are the ultimate way to relax in a trip, but its honestly going to take away from the spiritual edge and its going to make you not remember the trip so much. i have never gotten a ++++ on shrooms plus benzops. only got them on shrooms alone, and once with kava and hawaain panaleous tropicalis shrooms. lets see, besides that, a smaller dose of herb is fantastic, smoking a cig is fantastic....oh yeah. and kratom. that will definatly help you lose the fear
 
The first couple of times I tried 2c-e, I actually fell asleep listening to music/TV watching the CEVs... the barely awake state before I fell asleep, though, made it almost worth it - made for some crazy little fantasies.
 
Funny, I can remember having that to slight extent on both of those, but 2c-e seems to close my eyes for me in a way I've not experienced otherwise, I have to struggle to keep them open. Until now I've just shrugged it off as me being quite tired (as I usually was).

Caffeine, for me, is a necessity with 2c-e. Other stimulants would probably work better, but I'm a caffeine kind of guy.
 
^^ A number of powerful psychedelics cause this eye-closing effect with me. It's actually one of the ways in which they get a hold on my mind. When I'm feeling that sensation, I know the trip is about to get strong.

It's like a repeating pattern of suddenly finding yourself overwhelmed, which compels you to close your eyes and roll them back a bit, and it's almost like you phased out for a second.

2C-E, mushrooms, all the 4-substituted tryptamines (especially 4-AcO-DMT), DMT, DOC will do it to me every time. It happens occasionally on all of the other strong ones as well.

I don't find it to be a physical fatigue, though... it's like I just find it impossible to keep a direct focus on anything for too long because I keep feeling compelled to close my eyes.
 
2CE was probably the least disagreeable 2Cx type chems, the rest have been pretty shitty. i seem to get a toxic reaction from them ever since i shot 2CB.
 
had another trip this morning.. oral ~20mg.

very bad body load/body vibes for 1.5 hour [whatisthisweirdbodyfeelingthatmakesmewanttobadtrip]; visuals building up (more colors, pastel like colors, waves and patterns....); body load fades in 15 seconds (I feel it go away) and my body feels sharp once again. Total disorientation for the rest of the day... total loss of coordination and whatever (not negative).

It showed me where I was in time space. You are here. Why did you ingest this thing? Why do you have Albert Hoffman as background on your laptop. Why are you reading on Hunter S. Thompson.

Now appreciate the most complex imagery ever... a fractal purple pastel outline making the most beautiful birds -- wait where do these perfectly geometric shapes come from? I donno I just watch and I hope my brain will be OK.

And I hope I read more books.

Edit: I also seem to have had an allergic reaction to it since itchy red spots appeared on my skin (a lot now; all over my body) the next day. I'll start worrying if they doN't go away. COuld someone tell me if it could be from the mere 1mg Dilly I snorted??? Are opium itches that bad? THey itch like fucking hell.

Yes...I forgot to mention...there was zero body load and I ate two times throughout the experience (bowl of cereal T+3.5 and some bread and eggs T+6.5).

17mg oral left my stomach churning and when I drank some milk it left me even more nauseas.


I think 2CE can take one to a very deep place in one's mind.

One more thing I forgot to mention. I woke up twice in the middle of the night after VERY real and VERY scary nightmare vignettes. They consisted of some very bad man slamming open my apartment door and running over to me (while I was helpless) and attacking me (I woke up each time as he grabbed me). This nightmare was more real than waking life, if you know what I mean. My other dreams were beautiful (walking through sunlit woods). This nightmare thing happened before on 2CE to me (and only ever on 2CE). I take it my mind is being touched on a very deep level. At T+24hours I still feel quite 'touched' and somewhat 'blessed.'
