A somewhat interesting story:
My good buddy has wanted very much to take things to the 'next level' and truly delve into world-shattering psychedelia for quite awhile now. So I offered to let him eat all the 2c-e I had left. All told, it was about ~30mg (~25 + whatever residue was on the inside of the bag) of the stuff. The two or three of us that were there at the time were all prepared to watch him completely lose touch with reality and have an experience unlike anything we've ever known.
It didn't happen. If anything, he said this experience was less intense than the last time he tried the stuff... which was at a little more than half this dose. So this leads to my question: what do you guys think this might have been the problem?
Degradation? Granted it was about a year old, but the stuff was kept airtight in the dark at room temp. I've always been led to believe that 2c's in general are quite stable. I mean I've kept LSD under the same conditions and it's never gone bunk on me. /shrug
Cross-tolerance? This guy took a pretty hefty dose (3.5 good bicycle hits) of LSD about a week prior. I didn't believe at the time that it would be a huge issue... but I'm thinking now that this was the most likely culprit.
Possibly a benzo killed it for him? He took .5mg clonazepam about an hour and a half into it to take care of some comeup anxiety. I really don't see this being the case. He popped a benzo the last time he tried 2c-e (not to even mention other trips on other substances), and it most certainly didn't kill the trip(s) for him.
Set/Setting? If anything, I'd think where we were at for this trip was far more trip-friendly than where we did it the last time. I dunno about this one.
Weird stuff.
