The Big & Dandy 2C-B Thread - Stage 1

Gave me the raging horn mostly. That and a lot of mental journeying to far flung places. I suspect giggling may have occured too, but it is not the thing I remember about it especially. I shall have to investigate further at some point :).
 
yes! in fact one of my friends once through a fit of giggles looked at me giggling laying on the grass on 2CB and yelled out "Andy is never going to stop giggling!!!!!!!"

it was hil-fucking-larious at the time (and still is =D).
 
2c-b has never been giggly for me. It's been more an empathic MDMA-like feeling along with truthful introspection and visual confusion. I likes, but giggly? No.

I wasn't going to take the whole 100mg, I just need know if this is the right amount by eye. An approximate measure using coins would be awesome if some one could provide that.
 
powder and suppliers vary a wide degree. the powder/crystals couldve been compressed before shipping etc. there are too any variables to give even a reasonable estimate
 
I've reorganized the Big and Dandy 2C-B thread. Look at the first post on the first page for a list of links to focused sub-topics. Each sub-topic now has its own thread, so that discussion can be better directed and information can be found easier, but so we can still keep 2C-B discussion in a single family of threads. This main Big and Dandy thread is now for general/miscellaneous discussion about 2C-B, such as describing its effects.

I hope you find this useful! It certainly took a long time. We are working on getting every substance into this format.
 
There can be no doubt as to the effectiveness of 2C-B in evoking "the giggles."
 
do you think that 10mg of 2c-b snorted would be a sufficient dose for a good trip or will i need more? i want to do enough to have an average fun colorful trip. also, would ketamine be a good mix with it or should i save that for later?
 
10 mg is plenty when snorted. I would say 2C-B is 2-3 times as potent when snorted than taken orally.
Ketamine is great combined with 2C-B IMO. They have a great synergy. 2C-B makes the ketamine trip less clouded and personally, I tend to remember far more from my ketamine trips when combined with 2C-B.

Huh? Are nightmares common at all after taking psychedelics?

Only other psychedelic I've ever really taken was 2c-i. I had a pretty intense trip one time. I took it early in the morning and the effects wore off a little after noon probably. But I remember having a really weird/almost sinister dream that night. I was basically standing at the doorway to my bathroom, and saw this dark shadowy ghost of a girl standing in my shower, and it looked very evil. I don't think I actually got out of bed or anything though.

Anyways I should be getting two doses of 2cb tomorrow. Probably won't take them until next month though. And I should have some nitrous to accompany the trip.
 
^^ Gaian Planes says that he always gets nightmares after 2C-E specifically... perhaps someone else says that too. I don't think they're at all common though. It's certainly never happened to me, except for after MDMA or days of AMT in a row. Then I get sleep paralysis and intensely vivid dream/nightmares about the end of the world or being stuck in alternate realities that I'd rather not be in.
 
i've never had nightmares from serotogenic psychedelics, but know the sleep paralysis/nightmares from mdma, but even worse from salvia.
 
Total newbie question, but I thought I'd throw this here because I'd like to know.

I'm thinking about taking 2C-B on NYE, I've done mushrooms before and have tried acid while I was extremely drunk and passed out, when i woke up the effects were totally gone. I don't remember much of that night.

Is 2C-B suitable for someone who's only tripped reasonably lightly? From what I've read it sounds reasonably safe for people new to psychedelics.

I've found 2C-B (generally at 25 mg oral) to be quite gentle and friendly, mentally, on the four or five occasions I've had it. I've been freaked out by mushrooms, 4-AcO-DMT and 2C-E, for instance, or at least confronted with some fairly uncomfortable stuff, on a fair few occasions. I'm sure, in the right circumstances and dose, 2C-B could do the same - it's a psychedelic after all, and can lead your mind down unexpected paths. But personally, I (at 25 mg) and a friend (at more like 12 to 15 mg) have found it pleasant, strange, and not at all conducive of freak-outs.

But this is based on taking it only a few times, in comfortable and untroubling situations and locations. Your experience may differ.
