The Big and Dandy LSD/Acid Questions Thread III- 'The Bicycle Trip'

So guys, does lsd cause a stinging sensation on your tongue when you take a blotter? If not, then does dob?

Nah LSD doesn't burn at all, maybe if you dropped a big crystal on your tongue it would :\

As far as I know it's basically tasteless and odorless. I think that DOB has a good chance of causing a burning sensation like many other phen's but perhaps not in blotter form, I wouldn't know.

lsd question

i recently had a sheet and i kept in a samich baggie there seems to be left over particals. bassically i was wonderin if i sucked on the bag for awhile would it be possible to trip from left over residue on the baggie? it was in there for aprox. a week. can i trip!?

^I'd say yes, but you will have no idea what your dosing, and with LSD and its famous potency, you could easily have 10 hits or more in a baggie....actually probably more, I didn't read sheet....I would be hesitant were I you. I've know people to 'wash' out a vial and absolutely trip like a madman simply because, whilse not much acid appeared to be left, add up all the micrscopic granules and its pretty easy to get to a high dose.

Anyway, I'll merge this with the LSD thread. :)

been there done that got splattered across the universe inside a tent babbling absolute nonsense for like 16 hours

i dunno if that should make me wince or smile nostalgically but i deffo wouldn't recommend it unless you plan on getting SPUN

note to self

when cute dready chicks walk up to you and ask you if you want to get spun take them at their word (p.s. are you a bluelighter? i was a mess that weekend and we didn't really get to talk but if i wasn't so twisted i would have asked you for your number. pm me. lol. <3)
^ i'm in a silly mood

Ive heard that light can affect LSD in storage. what are some ways you can keep your lsd in its maximum potency without hurting it?

doses --> cellophane --> foil --> baggie --> foil --> prescription bottle w/dessicant --> baggie --> baggie --> foil --> baggie --> paper bag --> ziplock bag --> freezer

overkill perhaps but keeps your doses pretty good :)

Put it in the freezer? I didn't know that was the proper way to store it, I usually just keep it in foil inside a zip lock bag of some kind.

Wow, learn something new everyday..does storing it in the freezer really help keep the potency or is it just a precaution? Thanks..I can learn much from you SomeKindaLove...

some people are of the opinion that it should not be put in the freezer but i would maintain that those people are wrong. lsd is sensitive to changes in temperature. also, if you do this, remove your doses and let them sit in their packaging for about half an hour until they reach ambient room temperature so as not to allow for condensation or rapid change in temperature which can be harmful as well.

the main enemies of lsd are moisture, heat, and light.

the freezer is definitely very helpful in keeping lsd good for a long time. it can last years in the freezer and be destroyed by one afternoon in a backpack on a hot day.

the main enemies of lsd are moisture, heat, and light.
absolutely
but why do you think that changes in temperature should be harmful to the lsd? from my understanding only too high absolute temperatures should destroy lsd.

Yeah, i don't think LSD is sensitive to actual temperature fluctuations, more so an increase in heat whereby it starts to breakdown and degrade into inactive compounds.

The only way i could see anything happening is if a tab was taken out of a freezer, and it formed tiny amounts of precipitation on it. Even then, i don't think this would happen.

if a tab was taken out of a freezer, and it formed tiny amounts of precipitation

This is sort of what I'm referring to. I've been told that drastic changes in temperature are hurtful to LSD, and it's probably in reference to this more than anything else.

But really, paper is something that really wouldn't fluctuate in temperature anyway. Keeping it in the freezer would keep the compound cool, but the paper would still remain at a roughly constant temperature.

Which makes me wonder, would it be cold enough when taken out to actually form precipitation, i think not.

thanks for elaborating somekindalove. the humidity could maybe play a role if you freeze and unfreeze your trips often and/or have very high air moisture.

it would be cold enough. take a bottle with alcohol out of the freezer -> instant precipitation.
but i don't think precipitation will be significant with some blotters put in cellophane or baggies as i have found that they reach room temperature within seconds. it also kinda depends on your container. ideal would of course be leaving the container open in the freezer and closing it when it has reached the -20C (or whatever) and leaving it closed until everything has reached room temperature, but if you don't unfreeze it often it shouldn't really be a problem.

So, I've gathered from the posts here that it is indeed a good idea to store your LSD in the freezer, but how important is it?

I'm sorry If I keep bothering everyone but I am just a little afraid of putting my acid in the freezer...I'm very protective of my favorite substance on earth :) Also have a couple of dumbass roommates who might fuck it up, but never the less if keeping it outside of the freezer is risky than I will start storing it in there.

I usually store my blotter wrapped in foil then in a baggie in my dark dresser drawer and have always tripped balls when I ingest my little papers.

Man just talking about acid is making my heart rate increase!
