The Big and Dandy LSD/Acid Questions Thread III- 'The Bicycle Trip'

^I'm the different opinion guy and I'd suggest a night trip.
Other people sleep at night therefore it's kinda quiet.
Not just sound-wise, but the emotional and mental "noise" is minimal too.
Which is a big plus, not to mention the fact that it's possible to see the stars at night.

^ psychedelic sunrises are amazing. I believe there's a thread out there about them.

I like day trips but night trips are just as good....the fact that I am in a somewhat bigger city plays a roll in this... Cant really see many stars at night and cant be in nature parks at night (been arrested at one before).....so I{ must take my tripping to the day, where I do enjoy watching the sun set.... I have seen the sun rise before though and it was awesome.

^Aye yeah, its like your in a different world everytime the sun slightly shifts, illuminating that inticate pattern of light and dark that subtly reveals the nature of the worrld. Slightly different- but I find if sitting around on LSD if I simply change the angles of lighting in the room I inhabit, it dramatically alters almost everything about the trip, as if my setting had become completely different with each angular shift....

LSD Question

ok so i've only dosed about 7 times total, and every time has been a full blown crazy ass visual trip..

tonight i took a dose and i deffinetly tripped, the wierd part are there were absolutely no visuals. it was ALL the cognitive effects, and lasted about 4 hours, like my brain just had that "feeling" you know.........

ANYWAYS what i was wondering is is this just from a low dose of lsd? or maybe some other crazy psych that someone knows of?

Merged in a question

Hard to say... the effects of psychedelics are so variable between doses and between individuals. But it only lasted 4 hours? Do you mean you were sober after 4 hours, or you just were down from the main effects? I could see a low dose of LSD causing someone to only be truly tripping for 4 hours and then leave hours of lingering lower-level effects.

But like I said there's no way for anyone here to really be able to tell you what it was.

never mind after 4 hours i was just down from the main effects.

started at 1 am and its 910 am and im way tired but still cant sleep.

was just talking to a friend though and he said maybe its because i ate some 2cb last night. he thinks maybe i didnt see anything just because the other psych. idk tho

what a long strange trip for sure though. it was just weird to be in a full blown acid trip without any visuals. not even closed eye visuals really.

Well there you have it. You definetley had some cross tolerance with the 2CB and I know many people that have had similar experiences, especially if u did 2CB the night before! Next time, try to wait at least 3-4 days between trips, with the phens and trpytamines (although MDMA is excluded because it is not a typical PEA) but that is probably why your trip was weaker than expected. IMO you should wait even longer for full integration, but thats just me. ;)

i liked the full blown trip without visuals though. i just like the way lsd makes your brain "think" diferently. i ended up writing a bunch of stuff down while tripping and now reading back it just geeks me out.

did some pen and ink drawings too and definetly saw where 60's and 70's art came in. i could not draw a straight line for the life of me. the were all "curvy wurvy lines" (thats what i wrote on the paper. HA!)

^ Yeah on acid, whenever i see words they always look like the psychedelic art of the 60s-70s where its all curvy and wavy and what not. I used to think they were tripped out artists but then i realized holy shit, this is what one actually sees on LSD! I love rock poster art though, my dad is a huge collector of rock posters: grateful dead, hendrix, etc. It is great art and if anybody hasnt seen it, they should give it a go.

first timer

reading all this makes me want to try it so bad, but i cant find the balls to do it, since my last 3 trips on shrooms were terrible, someone convince meEEEE

^ you want to be convinced of what? to try LSD? If you do not feel ready, then you should not; if you do, then maybe you should. We're not here to recklessly advocate drug use. Deciding to take LSD is a big decision, nothing to be taken lightly. There's a lot of good information here and on other websites and a lot of people's experiences, good and bad. I hope that you can come to some peace with your anxiety, and make whatever decision is right for you. Feel free to send me a PM with any questions. You may get some posts on here that are saying "D00D!!!!! teh ACIDZ r0xoRRR my s0XORZZZ .... DOIT!!!!!!" or some variation thereof, and I'd encourage you to be more reflective than that. LSD is an important part of my life and has brought me many positives, but it is not always a positive for all people, depending on who they are, where they are in their lives, and what they bring to the table and hope to get out of it.

Well, yes, it is synthetic, in that it doesn't occur in nature (as opposed to psilocybin, for example), although derived pretty closely from natural compounds, but even though it was created by a human being ... we are a part of nature as much as a plant or a mushroom is, are we not? Radical departure from what we usually see as 'natural' and 'chemical' I know, but it's all a part of the same whole, isn't it?

(There is a good discussion about this issue on the B&D Mushroom thread, and I'd direct you there to talk about this issue further...)
