The Big and Dandy Ketamine Thread (Next iteration)

ketamine combines extremely well with MET. I had a very positive and very deep khole trip which I preceded right before I slipped into the hole with a long toke on a pipe that happened to have some MET loaded in it.

Deep! Highly recommended!

ketamine has complimented DMT, MET, DPT, and psilocin VERY well now for me!

you know, i dont recall combining it with tryptamines much.
My one experience smoking DMT on ketamine was unpleasant. Though i think i may have been underdosing on the DMT and overdosing on the ketamine.

Most of my ketamine combos have been with LSD and MDMA. And it compliments both very nicely.

I think ill be trying k with psilocin or psilacetin soon.

i report back (with positive reviews im sure)

i want to join BD's and MissVee's cult.

Ahem! I'd like to direct your attention to the first and only true way of psilocin and ketamine. From my JULY 10th 2008 scripture in this very thread:

Xorkoth get yourself some IMing gear and conserve your 4-ho and ketamine by using it IM (the gear, easily obtained, pays for itself--not to mention you could finally do DPT, and do it right.) Also, using 4-AcO-DMT IM makes it hit a lot harder, more like 4-ho. If you're out of 4-ho it's a more than capable substitute. Once you mix ketamine and psilocin a few more times I'll let you into my cult.

If you want a "religion," join the quaint little BD/MV parish. But if you want a real, batshit crazy, paint your cat and cover all the mirrors in your own feces cult, look no further. Mine's got glossololia and automatic body movements. Oh, and we meet in one of those inflatable churches.

Xorkoth, hate to bug you here, but you did pledge your mind and soul to the whims of Ketlocin somewhere in this thread right? I've received the revelation that he may need you to suicide bomb someone around this time next month--depends on the outcome of a certain World Series game he's got a lot ridin on. Just a heads up.

my first ketamine experience was a two weeks ago, 115 mg IMed into my thigh... very weird experience, not scary or harsh or anything like tryptamines and lsd can sometimes be.. just very weird! it's really nice for thinking about your position in life without having any anxiety or any real emotions associated with the thinking at all.. you just process the information. definitely a worthwhile substance in my eyes, but only if you are doing a big enough dose to "k-hole"... not sure what a ~50mg bump would be like, i had a friend doing them.. it seemed purely recreational from my point of view

^ totally understand and agree with your explanation of the experience. A really good way to analyze your self-identity with an emotional state that is affectively neutral.

I'm so in. =D

I have heard that IM DPT and IM Ketamine mix very very well. You'd probably want to do both compounds in one shot, at the same time, because I don't think you should be trying to administer an injection properly while tripping on anything, especially K or DPT.

I've heard LSD mixes very well with K too (do the K shot sometime after the LSD peak).

how about psilocin or psilacetin.
mmmm, yummy

i think it might even go well with somethings like 4 ho/aco mipt or 4 ho/aco dipt.
Sadly i have run out of those chems a while ago, so m y first spin will be with either 4 ho or 4 aco DMT.

And if im lucky enough i may also be trying it soon with a chem we havent seen around for awhile, 4 aco DET.

Over the course of this coming weekend I will be doing 5-MeO-DiPT, 2C-C, DPT, and LSD with ketamine. I've done LSD with it many times though. The 2C-C should be interesting, not sure what to expect but then again I haven't even read much about 2C-C. Already know the DPT will be good.

..has anyone done K with foxy?

Ketamine is undergoing a resurgence. For decades, anesthesiologists used ketamine for induction of general anesthesia at 2 mg/kg. However, some patients hallucinated and the use of the drug waned. We are beginning to see a resurgence using small, low-dose ketamine. Low doses inhibit the NMDA receptors, which is responsible for central sensitization, and can work synergistically with many other analgesics. A recent lead article in Anesthesiology noted that low dose IV ketamine in combination with an epidural had a significant reduction (p<0.05) in not just acute pain, but it eliminated chronic postsurgical pain one year later. (Figure 4) Hallucinations are extremely rare with low doses of subanesthestic ketamine of about 20 to 30 mg in the average adult. Furthermore, the risk of hallucinations declines with repeated use of ketamine.

Figure 4. Drawing depicting the sites of action of ketamine. The study by Lavand'homme et al. showed that low dose IV ketamine in combination with an epidural had a significant reduction in acute pain and reduced chronic postsurgical pain one year later. (Lavand’homme P, DeKock M, Waterloos H. Intraoperative epidural analgesia combined with ketamine provides effective preventative analgesia in patients undergoing major digestive surgery. Chronic, intractable CRPS is often associated with major depression. A recent randomized trial using a single low dose infusion of ketamine for 40 minutes showed a rapid and prolonged response in treating major depression. [96] The authors commented:

“To our knowledge, there has never been a report of any other drug or somatic treatment (ie, sleep deprivation, thyrotropin-releasing hormone, antidepressant, dexamethasone, or electroconvulsive therapy) that results in such a dramatic rapid and prolonged response with a single administration.”

Another recent study from Germany suggests that there may be a role for high dose ketamine in treating severe CRPS refractory to treatment. [97, 98] To date, 30 patients have been treated. Treatment is initiated by bolus injections of ketamine (0.5 mg/kg) and midazolam (2.5-5 mg) until deep sedation is reached. Patients are intubated and the therapy is maintained with infusions of ketamine (3-7 mg/kg/h) and midazolam (0.15-0.3 mg/kg/h) over five days. On the fifth day infusions are slowly tapered.

So far, nine of the 30 patients have experienced complete and permanent remission from their previously intransigent symptoms. Of the remaining 21 patients, all of whom had at least a partial remission, seven were entirely pain-free for six to seven months, after which the pain slowly returned. Ten of the patients are now being treated with subanesthetic doses of ketamine in an attempt to boost the initial effect. Side effects have been minimal.

The FDA-approved drug insert supports the safety ketamine:

"Ketamine has a wide margin of safety; several instances of unintentional administration of overdoses of ketamine (up to ten times that usually required) have been followed by prolonged but complete recovery.”

BTW the 7min video is hilarious

oh and that women asking her the questions has an annoying voice! I would be freaked all k-tarded like that.

Nurse: What's your mom's name?
Disheveled Women: What?
Nurse: What's your Grandma's name?
Disheveled Women: What?
Nurse: Look at me.
Disheveled Women: *DEATH STARE* (O_O )
Nurse: What's your dad's name?
Disheveled Women: What?
Mother: *Giggle*

I was surprised the mother was taking it so well. It was rather disturbing for me to watch her on the high dose. I actually thought she was on the high dose at the beginning when she was laughing uncontrollably for no reason, then it just got bad. Wow. Obviously I've never done Ketamine. Don't plan to either.
