The Big and Dandy Ketamine Thread (Next iteration)

I need to learn some self control with K .Whenever I have a reasonable amount I will just go through it and not get anything done. In my last binge I also was plagued with obsessive thoughts about plans and patterns, kept having the feeling of solving the mysteries and secrets of the world and twice managed to convince myself I'd become permanently brain damaged :\. I'm not even sure I should do it any more or at least I need to never get more than a gram or two in at once!
 
Alright I know this question has been covered a bit in the past, but I still can't understand what peoples opinions are.

What do people like more? The S or R Isomer?!
It seems the R isomer is the more classic ketamine, messy, stumbled speech and full on retarted K hole (In a good way ;) )
and that the S Isomer is little more clear headed but seemingly a little more psychedelic, and with less negative after effects?

Im aquiring a bunch of the S isoemr to test it out for myself really ,as everyones opinions seems varied and noone can really come to a conclusive answer...

Some people just prefer one over the other!
 
To my knowledge the R isomer is not available, although Vollenweider and friends have done some tests comparing the effects of S and R, so it has at least been made once. The effects of R are said to be more 'sedating'. Most ketamine is racemic (50/50 mix of R and S isomers). Pure S isomer is available from a few manufacturers. The effects apparently differ from the racemate as delta_9 has described above.

Although I've made no scientific tests to determinate if some ketamine consists of one or the other (or both) isomers, I think you can definitely feel the difference between the two. My guess is that the percentage of the isomers varies in different batches. I've had some ketamine which hit me like a brick in the head, but only got really psychedelic in rather large doses. And I've had ketamine where I could move around quite easily after ingesting ~100 mg. but was tripping hard.

Of course it's just a theory, but I think it could explain why I (and others) felt this difference.

This is my understanding as well. Most brands of pharmaceutical ketamine are racemic, but at least 1 brand has been found to contain only S(+)ketamine. I'm not aware of any brands containing only R(-)ketamine.

edit - of course this is my experience in America only. I'm pretty sure I read reports in Australian Drug Discussion about people getting only R(-)ketamine :\

ketamine and methylone

anybody done k and methylone? what's your experience?

for me it was really incredible, i didn't do any k-hole but the merging with music was spectacular, well ketamine does this alone but with methylone it was a step up. Actually it was very close to what effects I got from combining ketamine with amt which is also gives an incredible euphoria and feel the music while dancing experience

Though afterwards I had a lingering stimulation going on for a few hours, couldn't sleep at all at the beginning, had weird CEV. Whole sceneries constructing/deconstrucing...finally time passed but I never went to a full deep sleep and "woke" up after a few hours which surely were insufficent after the night I had, the day was ok though

I'm goign to be in a similiar boat tonight.

How do cannabis and ketamine interact? If I smoked some marijuana around 6-9 hours before dosing on the K, would there be any noticible effects?
 
id sure like to know where its all at. every single avenue I had to find it has dissapeard. My city is full of every thing and I mean everything but K. Glad someone has some to enjoy though. At last its not gon from everywhere

If you smoke 6-9 hours before you would barely feel a difference. Personally, I enjoy cannabis on the side when I do ketamine. For me, it makes the experience less jittery and compliments it in a good way. Only I wouldn't recommend you to do ketamine if you're very stoned. That can all be a bit too much and it's likely that you'll end up puking.
 
I had an excellent time on Ketamine tonight, and afterwards I felt really clear headed instead of just passing out like usual ( S isomer?)

Anyway I accidently spilt about 100mg into the carpet which im a bit annoyed about, but hey it happens haha. Anyone else accidently done this?
 
^I've done that too. I had a fat line chillin on a piece of paper on my desk and a gust of wind blew it all over the floor :X Luckily I have a wood floor but it still got in one of the grooves. I ended up snorting it off the floor but I got some dirt and other shit in my nose too :|
 
hehe, i had a buddy knock over a plate with a bit of my K on it and some of his H.

nothing you can do abot it except laugh it off. Dont get to worked up about.

i miss Ketamine. perhaps a bump or 12 is in order for the weekend.
 
is it illegal to buy ketamine in mexico or south america? particularly in costa rica? because I read on forums and various places that before like 1 ~ 2 years ago you can buy ketamine without a prescription or without any trouble at any drug store all you need to do is pay. But I hear recently laws got stricter in mexico? Will they arrest you or put you in jail for asking to buy ketamine? or will they just say sorry sir you need a permit or something? im going on vacation soon so I want to know whats up.. =/
