The Big and Dandy Ketamine Thread (Next iteration)

Not open for further replies.
Ran into my personal version of E.C.C.O. a few days back.
Only realized it when I was coming down.
Don't know if I should take this seriously.
I'm curious to see whether the focus issues will actually reflect on my "normal" life. :)

Jittery body on K?

I did post this in Basic Drug Discussion but I guess it was misplaced seeing as nobody answered.

The other night I did a heafty amount of K in one go, after a little while my body was very jittery - sort of like my whole body was shivering but movement was more minute and faster.

I didn't find it uncomfortable, but I can see that others would. It subsided once I had come out of the K Hole.

Is this common?

Merged in a question about a jittery K-body.

I've never had anything but a relaxed body on ketamine. Did you get it from a dealer/on the street, or was it pure from a pharmaceutical source?

On high dose K excursions there is almost always a sort of grinding noise I hear in the background. If I have music playing the noise will interfere with it. BTW what are some peoples fave musical artists to listen to on K?

Sphongle (Mystery of the Yeti). Those long haunting flute pieces - takes me and my SO on the most lovely peaceful inner journeys at just under K-hole doses.

Has anybody else noticed the "conditioning" effect of K, if I can call it that. What I mean is that the same piece of music seems to create the same feelings and thoughts as the first time - a sort of deep nostalgic regression. For me it creates an amazing sense of familiarity bordering on DejaVu*.

E

* or maybe it's just John Lilly's Cosmic Coincidence Control Centre beaming me up ;)

I've done K a couple of times while recovering from a semi-serious back injury.
Every time I did K after the injury was gone I still started moving in that same extremely cautious manner (small steps, absolutely no bending, leaning on furniture as often as possible, sitting down slooowly)), as if the back was still bad.

Took me quite a while to overcome that little piece of "K conditioning".
Sorta funny though. :)

I often hear revving chainsaws on ketamine, especially if an air conditioner or another sound the k can riff off of is in the background. I like to listen to strange moody music that has a wide range of sound textures during my ketamine-psilocin-DMT excursions. The bleed-through effect between sound and tactile sensation during these trips is highly pronounced and can be utilized to guide the trip through a wide array of mental worlds by using strategically chosen music.

My playlist from last night's incredible 50mg ketamine (IM), 30mg DMT (IM), and 7mg 4-ho-DMT (IM) trip: Animal Collective: "Bees" and "Spririt They've Vanished"; Caribou: "Yeti"; Grizzly Bear: "Alligator" and "Colorado"; The Most Serene Republic: "The Present of Future End"; Fourtet: "Spirit Fingers"; The Tough Alliance: "Last Dance"; Radiohead: "House of Cards"; Bear in Heaven: "Bag of Bags"; Jimmy Scott: "Sycamore Trees"; Nina Simone: "Sinnerman".

I find it hilarious when the CD comes to an end and it's time to change it. I can manage that, but when it comes to knowing which button to press to play .............wtf. It's like I've had a lobotomy.
=D

I notice a loud ringing in my ears, like I just heard a loud concert when I do a high dose.

I like to listen to minimal electro/ experimental techno, stuff like Download (if you havent heard Download you haven't lived) and stuff like aphex twin or drone music.

music sounds so sharp and metallic on high dose K trips, I rather enjoy listening to the music of my brain and focus on that and before I know it woaaaah im flying through a vortex existing as pure consciousness in a full blown K hole.

A got it from a dealer, I believe he cooks it up himself.
It may have been cut with something, I doubt it though.

Cough/Phlegm from Special K

Lately when I do K I get this nasty phlegm buildup in my lungs and it causes me to cough a lot of shit up. I know it's kind of gross, sorry. What the fuck though? I also notice chest tightness. Wierd, since I usually don't experience this, it's just been the last few days. Any input? Insufflated BTW.

Bad time of the year for cold infections. Maybe it's a coincidence - you've got a mild cold infection and the K has just exacerbated it. Happened to me when I snorted it in the middle of a bout of the cold.

Ketamine the antidepressant

What does everyone think of the after effects of a ket trip? like, the day after the night before, how do we feel? I have read about k as a poss anti depressant, but as in IM injection, does anyone get this from insufflation? I only ask because today I feel fuckin brilliant!!!
Apparently its action at AMPA receptors is responsible for this, and its independent of its psych/dissasociative effect.

Works.
It's the main reason I started using it.
Depression occasionally returned after I ran out (about 6 weeks later) but not as severe as it used to be.
After I found another supplier I kept dosing once or twice every two weeks at least.
It's been going like this for quite a while now (can't find my notes grmbl).
I suspect (and hope) it's permanent now.

Will probably test it soon.
