Anytime I take anything, I just fight the feeling no matter how bad it is. If you absolutly have to throw up no matter what go ahead, otherwise smoke a bowl or deal with it. Theres not much you can do for sickness. peace.

Try fasting. My stomach used to feel a bit uneasy but then I started not eating before trips and have absolutly no urge to throw up. Be sure to have a nice transition in and out of the fast.

i've get nauseous pretty much every time i eat mushrooms, have a weak stomach.. most of the time i usually fight it for the first hour or so letting as much of the chemicals abosrb as i can while down in my stomach.. then throw it all up, which completely turns around the trip, in a good way.. throwing up feels pretty damn good on mushrooms oddly enough, and after which i feel 100% better.. no more signs of nausea and all the euphoria starts to kick in

what my point is is that atleast hold it in as much as possible through the come-up, so you get the most out of your shrooms.. then let it all go

come to think of it, my first time getting nauseous from mushrooms reminded me of being really sea sick.. the come up feels like being on a really rocky and rough boat in huge waves, wavey visuals start to come on, feels as if theres no actual level floor, and my center of balance goes up and down and up and down..

I've only tried mushrooms a couple times, but I've managed to never even have an inkling of nausea at any time. I basically ate easy-to-digest food, but not to the point where I felt full, just satisfied. I also smoked MJ a bit before I ate them, and once halfway through the trip. The MJ also helped with the anxiety stuff during the comedown.

I have thrown up EVERY time I've ever done mushrooms, except the one time I ate mushroom chocolates. I've tried everything to prevent it. Nothing works. I stopped eating mushrooms because I could feel it in my soul that it was not the right substance for me.

Your body is rejecting the mushrooms. Move on to a different psychedelic like mescaline. I didn't throw up on that even though it was rumoured to cause really bad nausea and vomiting. Personally, I believe that our bodies/minds are the same and that your body has to be able to connect with the psychedelic sacrament. If your vomiting, that means something isn't meshing correctly. My friends tell me that LSD causes way less vomiting.

if it is your stomach physically causing the trouble, then you could try sublingualing the mushrooms for like 30 min and then spitting them out.

doing this you would absorb much of the psilocin/psilocybin without having to digest the mushrooms themselves.

most nausea on psychedelics (particularly mushrooms) i believe is more linked to anxiety and psychological unease. in which case avoiding the mushroom digestion wouldn't really prevent nausea.

Either-

-make a tea and sip slowly
-make a tea of mint or chamomile
-have some ginger
-small dose of scopoloamine (travel sickness tablets)
-metaclopramide (dopamine antagonist that prevents vomiting)

Or deep breathing. Theres few existing threds on such my man...

Smoking cigarettes calm me down and make me feel less nauseous.

But the most common replies are always pot and mushroom tea.

You could try drinking a soda, and maybe burping will help? Whenever I feel nauseous, I always drink some soda and burp, it makes me feel a lot better.

I find it quite easy to handle myself on low doses of mushrooms, but they can quite easily strip you of control at somewhat higher doses. You should test the actual dosage in a closed setting before taking it to a public setting. Upping the dose in such a way is not recommended, a low dose mushroom trip is nothing like a high dose.
Same here. I can handle myself pretty well on low doses, but sometimes, I would get so lost and caught up in the music I'm just so out of it. This only lasts for a good 10 seconds or so though.

Try not fighting the purge. I used to fear vomiting as well, until I learned that I feel fucking great afterwards...so cleansed. I can see why people believe that vomiting cleanses the soul. When tripping, I find that this is true. and I put all the bad energy into the purge....and then I'm clean.

Don't fight the purge...embrace it. It is your body's way of saying it needs to be cleansed. You don't hold it in when your bowels are getting ready to explode do you?

Why do the same with the other? :)

Merged in a question about preventing purging on mushrooms.

I don't know why everyone's always so afraid to throw up. Yes, I agree that it is really sucky to experience nausea. But once you throw up, you feel so cleansed and wonderful. Plus it always seems to really kick the trip into high gear. Plus, it's just a physical action... even if it can hurt a bit (which it won't if you've been drinking water), it's just a bit of pain. Isn't it more than worth it for a good trip? Plus, the act of throwing up can be a powerful symbolic act of cleansing.

New to mushrooms, looking for a good first time.

Well, I'm going to do some looking, and probably pull through on mushrooms. (As I have on everything else.) However, I know nothing about them. I have 50 dollars to spend, and I was hoping to get at least 5 grams worth of them, if not 2/8ths. *depending on the price of the dealer I manage to find*. I was wondering, exactly how much should I buy and how much would be safe for me to take? I weigh 200 pounds.

We need more information. Have you done mushrooms before? Have you done psychedelics before at all? Please fill us in, as the dose recommended will depend heavily on this information.

Okay then. I'd do no more than an eighth. And make sure you're in a good set and setting. Mushrooms are much more "deep" and "serious" than either of the other two substances you've taken. And also much more emotionally intense. In my opinion mushrooms are the most difficult psychedelic, but also the most rewarding. Every mushroom trip I've had that wasn't a low dose involved feeling both the most amazing I've ever felt and the mosy horrible, sometimes in the same moment.

My first trip was on a half eighth (of very good mushrooms though). But it remains the most powerful experience of my life, 7 years later and after tripping many, many more times on dozens of chemicals and much higher mushroom doses.

Mushrooms will completely overwhelm you and will take you along for the ride. There is no controlling them. MAKE SURE you're in a place where you feel comfortable, are with people you are TOTALLY comfortable with (very important), and have nothing that could come up to surprise you (having to leave, talk to someone who can't know, etc). If any of these factors are not met, I can almost assure you you'll have a difficult time. If you pay attention to set and setting though, you will probably end up having your world blown apart in a horrible and glorious burst of psychedelia.

Please don't think of mushrooms as a recreational drug... most bad trips seem to come from that attitude. Think of it as an investment of your time and energy. It WILL probably be difficult and you'll probably think to yourself "why did I do this" on a variety of occasions during the trip, especially the come-up. But it will be worth it in the end if you go into it with the right attitude.

The come-up will be the hardest part... mushroom come-ups usually make me feel dirty and cracked out and strange and uncomfortable and frankly a bit like a drugged-out loser. But just realize it's the process of your ego making room for the mushroom, and it will pass. Just let go. if you give in to the anxiety of the come-up, it might stay with you throughout the trip, but if you let it go, you'll realize it's an illusion.

Mushroom Instant comedowns

Is it true that certain things can bring down a mush trip?

Like, drinking water or other fruit juices with high concentrations of citrus?
Or being cold?

If so, can anyone please list them for me? so i can know to avoid them in the future.

Merged in a question about mushrooms.

In short, there isn't anything to make you instantly come down from mushrooms... antipsychotic drugs can do it in a short time, but that's it. What you've heard are rumors, urban legend. Most of what you have heard about drugs most likely is. Also, the general myth is that citrus increases the strength of a trip, not kills it. But that's not really true either.

My first trip, me and my buddy ate 2.5g of some home grown cubes....I fasted for 10 hours before I ate them, and had not even a hint of nausea. My buddy did eat about 2 hours before, and he DID get a medium nausea, but did not toss his cookies, but was fine once we fully came up. No anxiety at all, I was ready and willing to go with it, but I am well versed in lsd so I am familiar with tripping.

It was a freaking magical, overwhelming, ego shattering, profound, mind opening experience that I will repeat for the rest of my life, or as long as I can get the shroom. They are hard to get around here though (and expensive), I am looking into picking my own since I have access to pastures with cows in them :-)

Right now, I am working with Salvia....but that's another story....
