One thing I loved about shrooms was that I could go to sleep on them, never could do that on acid. As far as tips about it, there is one thing that I found helpful.

"Some good things to always remember:

1) Cars can hurt you.
2) You cannot fly.
3) It's never a good time to die.
4) Taking your clothes off will draw attention.
5) Keep your mouth shut at all times while in public.
6) Although you may see things that are not there, you won't NOT see things that aren't there.
7) Don't forget how to burp.
8 ) Only carry: a house-key, some loose change, and your address in your shoe.
9) Nobody can tell that you are tripping till you tell them "I'm tripping".
10) No matter how fucked-up you think you are, you'll eventually come down. "

1-4 and 9 and 10 are really good things to remember. ESPECIALLY number 10.

As far as aborting a bad experience, benzos are king for that if you end up not being able to handle it. Just go into it with a good mind state and you should have a great experience. :)

If you feel you will get really paranoid, it might be nice to have a fast-acting benzo on hand, even if you don't take it, just for the "security" feeling it will give you.

If you just feel slightly scared it will help you out quite a bit if you sit and close your eyes and just focus on your breathing, slowly.

Many people like to mix their shrooms with food (ie, on pizza, toast with peanutbutter, in a milkshake, etc) if they don't like the taste. Personally, I like the taste (knowing what will soon come) so I just chew them up, hold 'em in my mouth for a while, then swallow with any beverage available.

Also, don't believe people who tell you orange juice will make you trip harder, they are idiots.

I advise against this. Keep one for sleep..but why take a psychedelic if you are just going to drug it away if it gets rough? Trips are for working through things...anxiety can be a sign of internal issues...embrace the fear and learn from it. Don't take the easy way out (benzos).

I agree with this to some extent. Psychs are a great thing to use to work out mental issues, hence the reason why people use them for psychological issues. I think they are better tools than psychiatrists. However, if things get way too out of hand during the experience, benzos are a great way to bring you back to this reality. I personally think you should sit through the experience and work out your issues while on the psychs, but if things get out of control, benzos are a great way to help yourself back to this reality.

Henry, if things do not feel 'right' for this weekend, then delay your trip until they do feel right. You basically want to give yourself the most benign setting you can think of (quiet calm day out in a grassy meadow, safe and secure in your house with nobody that will give you paranoia around ie parents, etc etc).

Basically, there are enough rough spots taking mushrooms that you don't want to add on any external factors.

Peace and have fun, be safe! :)

edit - the mushrooms will be fine stored in your baggie for a week, ideally try to keep them out of sunlight/heat.

Mushrooms=seizures?

i got some shrooms that were going around my city, and i took them (3.5G) with 3 of my friends, they also took 3.5g. we all had a good time and nothing went wrong. but 4 other people i know took them( from the same batch) and had siezures and/or blacked out.

is there something that could be wrong with this type of shrooms?
or did 3 people all just have a bad reaction? they have all also done shrooms before with no problems( besides a common bad trip)

There are no known seizure-inducing substances of any substantial amount in any psilocybin-containing mushroom species, that I'm aware of.

It's almost certainly not due to the shrooms.

However, it is quite possible that some jerkass somehow laced it with something nasty, accidentally or otherwise.

Rinse them thoroughly first. (I would anyway, it's quite possible they were grown in a bulk manure substrate.)

It is possible they were contaminated with mold that may have caused the seizures. That is very scary. I hope nobody else is going to take those mushrooms. If it is possible the person that you bought them from should be notified.

idk bout seizures...but can't short moments of unconsciousness be caused by rabid changes in blood pressure? I've blacked out before once while on shrooms and it happened almost right after i got up out of a car and started walking...it felt like an extremely large head rush and then i was being helped up

that's all that i can think of as for the shrooms themselves actually causing this though

I'v had a seizure from eating mushrooms before. I honestly don't think it's from that specific batch though. I usually pass out/blackout EVERYTIME I eat mushrooms know matter what kind they are or where they came from. I'm still not sure why this happens to me, nothing else does this to me. It may be some chemical balance in their/ my brain, I'm not sure? My suggestion is for your friends to stick to something else. IMO

I'd be wary of kids high on shrooms correctly diagnosing a "nigga with a seizure".

They might be seizures, they might be some kid feeling wobbly after standing up too quick after having a shit and coming back into the room saying "Dudes, I just had a seizure" because it sounds dramatic and everyone will pay attention to them for a while.

Don't be too sure. I've heard mushrooms can once in a while produce headaches, brainzaps and blackouts.. especially on high doses. It can also prevent cluster headaches, so I definitely think psilocybin has the power to provoke seizure-like reactions. But I'd hold the phone on calling it an actual seizure...

I have seen my best friend collapse and start having seizures on mushrooms. This has happened to him twice out of ~40 times eating mushrooms.

No other psychedelics have caused this to happen to him.

He was allergic to penicilin, our guess is that those mushrooms had a high penicilin content and that is what caused it to happen.

His seizures lasted for about 1 minute and then he would snap out of it.
It was really quite scary to see it happen but everything ended up okay.

looks like dried cubes, but seriously you cant id from a picture of dried mushooms.

i thought cubes were bigger

i am wondering because they look just like the kind i ate, which were much more potent than cubes (trip off of .7g)
