Screwed up san pedro a/b extraction
(this probably should belong in the big and dandy mescaline/ san pedro thread. i just would prefer to post this anonymously as to not incriminate myself. I really appreciate any help.)
I did an acid base extraction using tea i made from 2 feet of san pedro. Everything went fine, up until the salting stage. Following a tek i found on another forum, i used WAY WAY WAY too much sulfuric acid in the salting phase. Not like some teks that show the crystal being a little red from too much acid, this stuff if black/dark brown at best. (Now i know I should have just used alot less sulfuric acid, or used HCI.)
Now all i'm left with is a bunch of blackish goo, that is incredibly hard to evaporate. The goo is the texture of similar to wet resin. I've been attempting to evaporate this stuff for almost 3 days now, with limited success. 8) One evap dish provided some blackish stuff that was able to be scraped up, but was still damp, and looked like it was trying to crystalize, but it's damn near impossible to get the moisture out of it.
I have 2 main questions
1.) is this stuff safe to use, once i get the majority of my sulfuric acid goo somewhat dry?
2.) if this stuff is not safe is there anything i can do?
Anyone have something similar happen, that they were able to salvage?
I've tried a heated fan, dehumidifier, a light at close range, and putting it in the oven @ around 100-150 degrees fahrenheit for several hours.
If i fucked up beyond repair no need to flame me...I'll just chalk it up to experience.
any help would be greatly appreciated. or if there are any links to send me in a better direction that'd be awesome. I just put a lot of money into this and i'm not yet ready to give up.
