MDMA has a bad comedown, especially the more you do it. And MDMA plus LSD has a far worse comedown... it's notoriously one of the worst according to a lot of people.

But depending on your trip and how it trails off, LSD can certainly make you feel uncomfortable.

Taking LSD Drunk

Hi guys! Nxt friday i will have my 18th birthday. I will of course drink some booze with my family. I would also like to take acid on that day. Do you think that taking acid fairly drunk is ok? I will surely have great mood, really good vodka, nice company. What do ya think? Ever done that?
 
I find that when I take lsd drunk or get drunk while tripping it takes away a majority of the visuals. It like dampens them but leaves you with an awesome euphoria, some distortions and a super-getting-drunk power
 
i suppose it depends on how strong the acid i and how experienced you are with acid. i once had a mishap that way, but that was my first ever acid trip. if you must drink, i'd take the acid first and start drinking later on. but i suppose your social arrangements don't allow for this. do not disrespect acid, cos if it's a strong enough trip it'll let you know you did that and you may not feel good for it. In my experience a drunken euphoria wears off after a few hours, and then turns into drunken dysphoria ... I wouldn't amplify that with acid, to be honest.
 
^^ Not to mention acid is not really suited for social situations where other people are only drinking, especially when you're the centre of attention. You asking this question makes it appear that you aren't experienced or maybe not at all with LSD - for most people to be able to deal with a lowish dose of acid at an event like a birthday they have to be pretty comfortable with the drug, having encountered most bumps in the road at a previous time.
On top of that, LSD can make you more conscious about stuff like drinking and you could be disappointed in seeing people use alcohol - maybe it's just me but I find drinking (excessively) more and more sad when I use psychedelics. Keep it for a another occasion that allows a lot more freedom is my advice :)
.... this is a little bit projected from my point of view of course hehe, there are those who can use acid just for the hell of it getting almost no lessons but plenty hilarity but you should never assume that's you..
 
Man I'm experienced. I dont mean eating acid on my b-day party, situation would be different. Drink alcohol with family => Take Acid => Go to techno party => Have Fun ;)
 
Ah so I misunderstood.. :)
My experience with the combination is limited but if the amount of alcohol is very large I'd expect to be somewhat more 'out of this world', since inhibitions are loosened and thoughts roam free you might be less in control of both your psyche and your actions. For many, alcohol does add to the euphoria - personally I don't like the combination a whole lot but if you keep it in check you should have a great time! :D Have a happy one tomorrow
 
If I take 1-2 hits, will I be just spacey looking, or will I be doing insane shit that will cause me to get taken to the hospital?
 
^depends on you and the doses in question and your situation as does so much in relation to psychedelia, can't give you a good answer. If you're looking to dose and not get noticed I promise you you will get paranoid as a motherfucker, so please don't do that.
 
I doubt I'll get too paranoid, I'll just be around my parents, and I'd prolly admit I was on it and they'd get pissed, but they're used to my shit.

I personally think everyone is schizophrenic to some extent, but that's another story.

I just don't wanna end up perma-fried and in a state hospital for life, because once you get into a mental institution, it's hard to get back out, even if you're sane.

But I actually lied, I've never done acid, just 2C-E. I just said acid, because I forgot this was BL and everyone knows what 2C-E is. I'm used to just telling people I've done acid, because if I say 2C-E, they just go WTF.

I would agree that no one else knows what goes on inside your mind, but anyone remotely diagnosed should take the psychedelic constitution seriously that the chance becomes too real that you might blow a fuse...
Apparently some people explore the margins but they're gambling with their lives if you ask me.

On a sidenote: if I consider someone interested enough in these sorts of substances I try to tell them the actual deal in understandable terms, if not I'd rather not bother at all. :)
Many people just don't have an ear for it..
 
Be very careful, blase... you're going to gambling with your sanity any time you use a psychedelic. Incidentally, ketamine is also known for being pretty aggravating to schizophrenia. If I were you I'd try to focus on getting better before using drugs. But then, I do understand how hard it can be to stop using drugs. Still, if you end up worse off and in a mental institution because of it, I can guarantee you'll regret it bitterly. :\
 
I was wondering if the recent use of MDMA would somewhat dull an acid trip. I know that both drugs affect the serotonin system, so I was wondering if low levels of serotonin from a recent roll would affect the same neurotransmitters that LSD affects. Thanks! :)
 
^ I have used LSD a few days after MDMA and it was fine. As long as you get some rest and take vitamins and relax after the roll and dont go on a binge, you will most likely be fine but if you get bad comedowns then its not worth it. It is much better to space them out.
 
Do you let it dissolve under your tongue or swallow it? Does doing either affect the potency?

Also, would taking 2mg of xanax kill the trip or just make it more mellow?

And lastly, does it make you nauseous/what's the body load like?

Just had a quick question for any experienced BL's out there.

I'm going to a Tool concert soon with 4 other friends, me and one other friend are debating dropping ~150mcg of cid' each at the show. We've both tripped more than a few times, but never at a concert. I realize it would have the potential to go very wrong, but it just seems like too good of an opportunity to pass up. We would have 3 sober friends there watching out for us- what do you guys think?

Also to the guy above me:

I normally keep it under my tongue for a bit and eventually swallow it if it doesn't completely dissolve, I can't tell you if 2mg of xanax would kill you as it depends on your benzo tolerance... personally I don't think it would completely kill it, but i doubt i'd remember as much of it afterwards :P. As far as nervousness and body load, some depends on the dose, I normally get really anxious during the come up but it never lasts more than an hour or so, and then I'm always able to let go and enjoy the trip, and as far as the body load is concerned I personally don't notice it too much unless I drop a few hits or more.
