Basically, I feel rather sane, despite being diagnosed as schizoaffective. Should I still trip?
 
Hey folks,

Can anyone give me some tips on solo tripping? I plan on heading into the city tomorrow and dropping two hits of some white/white unperforated paper. I will probably end up spending most of the time in the park within the city. It's a really beautiful park, and the weather is suppose to be nice tomorrow.

Do you think that the vast amounts of people walking around in the city will cause any negative emotions? I'll have music with me, so hopefully that will occupy my mind for most of the time. Is there anything I should know when tripping alone. Any feedback would be great. Thanks!
 
A trip sitter really isn't necessary for everyone. I could take 20 hits w/o a trip sitter and be just fine. I like tripping with other people but I like to be alone. Do what you feel comfortable doing.

The thing people need to realize about psychadelics and pretty much every drug is that there is no black and white. All matters on this subject rest in a gray area. What is overkill for one person might be get your dick hard euphoria for someone else. A good dose for me isn't necessarily a good dose for you. A fun chemical for me won't necessarily be a fun chemical for you. A good combinationfor me might not necessarily be a good combination for you. See what I'm getting at.

questions like:
what would be a good dose of xxx?
would this combination be good?
is this too much?
how much should I take?
........cannot easily or safely be answered.
Who with, what chemical, when? where? and why should I take this drug? There is only so much someone can tell you. Some things you just have to learn through trial and error, and despite the questions you ask, you will still experience some error.

Honestly, all I can safely say is that 6 hits MIGHT be the perfect dose for you, however, I recommend taking 2-3 hits.....cheers mate:)
 
Drinking and Lsd

Is there any drinks that are bad to have while smoking and doing lsd. (1-5 hits)
 
I would avoid alcohol. It blunts the experience, in a way, while make it all the more fuddled. Some people like to blunt the experience, to just get totally munted and have nothing but eye-candy. If you're looking for eye candy, windows media player's got a visualizer 8) ... But seriously, alcohol makes the psychedelic experience more confused, more just "whoa...fucked up"--not a good thing. And in the event of a "bad trip", you will be more likely to lose control, which will take a "bad trip" straight to terrible and out of control.
 
For me alcohol = more confidence, plus a more positive mood... so if you are prone to paranoia, or you're socially awkward, I would recommend a few drinks with your acid

It depends what you're looking for I guess, I usually take acid with friends, and drinking gives us more confidence to have fun with it... if you're looking for a more spiritual type of experience, then you might just want to take the acid on it's own
 
I have enjoyed L and L w/ mass quantities of alcohol. Since I have stopped drinking regularly it’s become more apparent how toxic alcohol really is so I prefer L alone or just with a few drinks. What I have noticed is that if I am already plastered and then drop, it turns into a walking black-out. These never turn out well and seem to be extra bad if I was drinking liquor.
 
Hmm, I have been mighty drunk and dropped acid, and had a delerious blast- until the anxiety of a major hangover kicks in, that is. It can be good to help ease the tense comeup phase, but generally I don't like doing drugs when I'm on LSD, unless its more LSD or another psychedelic :)
 
I wanted to update you guys. A few weeks back I had 1/2 a hit which pushed my heart rate up to 110 bpm for the whole trip and created quite a bit of chest pain.

I dosed a few days ago on 3 1/2 hits and within an hour and a half I was going at 130-140 bpm. I then took 30 mg temazepam (a benzo), and an hour later my heart rate went below 100. It also sadly killed the mental aspect of the trip. I just wanted to point out to everyone that if you have a similar problem with tachycardia, you might want to try taking a benzo to calm your heart down.
 
newbie! sorry!

I am considering trying acid, but I don't know if its such a good idea. Whenever I smoke pot I have paranoid delusions and severe anxiety attacks.
Do the two drugs feel at all similar?
If I'm awful on weed will I be awful on acid?

I realise there is no REAL way to tell, but yeah, just curious for you guys opinions and stories etc.

I would not suggest taking LSD if you are prone to paranoid delusions or anxiety attacks for any reason.

there are definitely psychedelic qualities about a marijuana high in my opinion, but acid is a completely new can of worms and has the capacity to leave you far more powerless. Tell me: what about smoking pot makes you anxious? Can you describe it any better than you have?
 
I am also prone to anxiety attacks and semi-paranoid delusions on pot. I have gotten the same thing while tripping. Now I will still take acid, but not enough to fully trip. I like a "borderline" dose (for me it's 1/4 hit at a time, but probably half a hit for most people) that will be slightly trippy but not too intense. You might want to try that first.
 
First acid trip - sober sitter necessary?

Hey there.

My best friend and I are planning on tripping on acid for the first time soon.

I have a slight social anxiety thing going on (I'm not anxious around my best friend though), but I'm perfectly mentally healthy otherwise. I've done moderate amounts of DXM multiple times before and have been totally fine. My friend does not have any psychological problems either.

Would it be safe for my best friend and I to have our first acid trips together? We were thinking 1 tab for the first time. Or is a sober sitter necessary?
