The Big and Dandy Basic LSD (acid) Questions Thread (Round two!)

Is there any cross tolerance with MDMA and LSD. Basically, if I dose on MDMA and then 2 or 3 days later dose on LSD (around 250ugs), will there be any cross tolerance issues? Anybody with similar experiences?

For optimal effects it's desirable to be in good mental/physical shape and health, rested and relaxed. Etc.
Some of those might be compromised by recent MDMA use.

^Thats a great drawing....its more reminescent of DMT or mushrooms then LSD to me, but looks like the halluncinations of neither if you get me. I'd love to be sitting under that tree with a pipe of DMT and smoking the rainbow.

Thanks Thug Love chick chick boom boom

awesome pic, if u tripped on shrooms u can kind of relate to the picture, its basically what tripping feels like =D

yeah, that picture has always reminded me of mushrooms. lsd is less likely to make everything warp in size like that.

I know that but with ample rest, good mind set, etc. is there any chemical cross tolerance between MDMA and LSD? They both act on serotonin (MDMA a lot more, but LSD inhibits the uptake of serotonin- afaik), so it could be a possibility. Any people with chemical knowledge know of this?

Eat a mouth full of paper and watch TV, peoples faces get really really streched, swirled, spun etc. fully funked out and spooky at the right dose.

That is a great pic tho

^Yeah, I tend to get massive elongation and bifurbication of objects when on LSD and Im not even sure what bifurbication is.

Come on now, someone back me up here. Does nobody else think that picture is an excellent visual representation of how tripping feels? Or am I just crazy...

Sorry- just crazy. Nothing to do with your post though ;)

When I watch TV while on acid, I don't understand the people talking. It's like they're babbling in a different language.

Anyone else?

I get that too. Music videos, however, are fun to watch.

only on LSD could someone look at a TV while WATCHING acid at the same time;)

What is ego death? I've seen it mentioned with respect to LSD frequently but have found nothing in my search of the forums as to what it is. Thanks.

After searching for so long finally got to try LSD. Did it at Daft Punk which must be the modern day perfect setting for a LSD trip :) but prob not for a first time trip as being around so many drunk/tweaked people was kinda scary (lost the guy I came with pretty quickly).

Anyway just a couple of questions. My trip was good, very intense and very visual but at all times I was in control. My friend on the other hand flipped out and thought he was in some kind Truman Show - apparently he ended up thinking he was dead and getting naked and preying to god to let him into heaven lol. So my first question, is that a very intense trip or a psychotic break? He dosed the same as me and has over ten years of experience with LSD - the only thing he did different was smoke a joint with another guy, I knew that would make me paranoid so I didn't go anywhere near it.

Second question, in the week since I have been having lucid dreams, multiple dreams each night which has resulted in me getting completely exhausted as its impossible to get a good nights sleep. Many of the dreams have involved me taking LSD and having a bad trip - I'm worried I'm setting myself up for defeat when I next dose (new years eve). Any advice?

Lucid means you can control what happens.

Problem solved.
lol thats true, but its still almost impossible not to wake up once you realize your dreaming - what happens in the dreams isn't the issue, its the lack of sleep that sucks.

If you want to avoid waking up once you realize you're dreaming, all you have to do is either turn your "dream body" in a circle or rubs your hands together in the dream. The latter isn't nearly as effective as the former.

^What are you talking about? Lucid dreams are actually dreams where you know your dreaming, not where you can control it.

^Yeah, but thts not what lucid means in this context. I have dreamed almost constant 'lucidly' since a young one, and have had 'control' ober the contents of the dream at times; other non-lucid dreams I have still had control of. However,my weed smoking has rendered the lucidity more of a flailing grasping fear. My dreams are awful. Filled with dying and sorrow.
