Can you expound a bit on the fountain metaphor? I wrote a report I titled Reflections in the Obsidian Fountain about an experience of mine combining 4-AcO-DMT, 4-ho-DMT and ketamine (ctrl+F for fountain and water in the report if you don't want to read it all) where a well and a fountain were central visions.

I'm curious about how strong an analogy the fountain is for your experience (as opposed to metaphors like "star burst" or "kaleidoscope") since the last time I used the same combo the words "ever ebullient foam" compelled their utterance repeatedly during my trip. I've had extraordinary and extraordinarily consistent trips with the combo, and this "bubbling water" theme has been very strong. I'm wondering if it may be a common conceptual metaphor for the unique effects of this drug during visionary experiences. If you care to reply, I suggest writing what you mean before reading anything of mine so that my wording has less suggestive influence on your memory.

The "Fountain" experience was quite profound. I am intending on writing a full report later today or tomorrow, but I don't mind replying to this at all. I am always open for questions.

What happened was that my best friend and I were listening to the Yes song "Awaken," and I happened to close my eyes. I felt like I had no choice, I couldn't see anything that wasn't distorted beyond and instinctual recognition anyway, so..

Well, it started with alot of really intensely, wild color patterns, at first consisting of alot of greens. It reminded me of a world of strange insects and creatures unknown.

Then, it quickly evolved into a complete vision, and i saw above me, and intricately designed fountain that was tipping over me. However, something was holding it from falling. Only the soft water sprayed and trickled down me on me. Waterfalls, and splashes reached me intensely.

The colors were beyond explanation. In the middle of the fountain, there was an immense light radiating from the center that felt warm; comforting. I wanted to be a part of it, but I knew it was beyond my reach, not to mention that it felt like something that was to be respected in full, almost worshiped.

Then came the warmth of that feeling I briefly described as being akin to the Divine Creator holding me. Rarely have I felt such peace and serenity. Finally, after a period of "eternity" time, it released me from its embrace, and I was able to move around and talk.

Do what you will but when you do get that scale, I think you'll be amazed by how little 25mg of anything actually is. I can state for a fact that, before having weighed mg's on a scale, if someone were to have handed me a chem and asked me to eyeball 25 mg I would have overshot by at least 50mg.

i kinda noticed that when i received my 500mg sample and realized how small it all is. i just hope that scale gets to me as quickly as was estimated.
 
alright so i just dosed 10ish mg about 15-20 mins ago. i'm finding it kinda hard to relax though as this is my first psychedelic excluding mdma. hopefully that will all be gone though once i start to feel it. I have another 10ish mg set aside to take at T+0:40-1:00 if i'm up for it. i don't really expect much from this 10mg but i just can't seem to relax. =/

It's completely natural to feel anxious before a trip, just make sure to surrender to the experience and just go with it if things start to get too intense.

Gave a great trip man:), I can't wait to try this compound, it looks like a real winner
 
its weird now that i've come up the anxiety changed to this non stop kind of shaking like feeling going throughout my body. it seems similar to the same feeling i started getting from weed which was one of the main reasons i ultimately quit smoking.

edit: it seems to be a bit like some sort of vibration. but it has slowed down significantly and music is sooooo amazing. forget what i said about the anxiety its gone. omg i'm sooo glad i found this....

That's pretty much the only way. I think most suppliers would specify which it is. That's been my experience anyway.
 
well if you had some AgNO3 on hand, it would show you qualitatively if you had Cl- in solution. Just use distilled water and clean glassware, dissolve a small sample of your compound and add one drop of AgNO3 solution. If it turns milky, that is positive for AgCl precipitation.

not that anyone has AgNO3 just lying about :)
 
Hmm interesting to know it can be determined with AgNO3.. but alas I'll just try to hope for the best because I was hoping to hold on to it for years - chipping away at it slowly but surely.. :)
.. just worried about losing this delectable compound to the air.. 8(
 
store in an airtight vial with silica packets. Ive had some stored for years with out much if any loss in potency.

This one doesnt seem to be stable in solution though (which is common to 4-ho/aco trypts) so just keep it as a powder.
 
so i've read with lsd that low doses can be uncomfortable cuz it feels uneasy with some energy but not much actual psychedelic effects. whereas normal doses tend to alleviate that uncomfortableness. has anyone found this to be the case for 4-aco-dmt? where any discomfort experience on low doses (~<15mg) tends to be alleviated by higher doses (~>20mg).

also how long does tolerance last with this? is it the usual 1 week as with most other psychedelics?

^I find low dose LSD to be quite fun and comfortable. It depends on what you are looking for out of a trip. A low dose cid trip can be perfect for a social night out but would be disappointing if you are looking for a full blown psychedelic trip.

I am not sure if any comfort would be gained or lost with doses.. generally higher doses mean a higher body load and lower doses have a lower body load. I find 4-AcO-DMT to have next to no body load other than the usual psychedelic alertness.

Tolerance to this substance is similar to LSD: gone within a week or less.
 
I've tried 4-aco-dmt twice, its GORGEOUS stuff. Unfortunately the last time I tried it was quite a few months ago, however I still have some left in its original bag, kept on a shelf in a box. Does anyone know if the potency will have been affected?
