Check out phenazepam, if you haven't already wiki benzodiazepine equivalence chart and you'll get an idea of the half life's of some of the compounds and some other interesting info.

The psychoactive effects of diaz are only noticeable for a few hours (depending on tolerance etc) but the physiological effects last much longer, it can be difficult to feel them after 'coming down' but they're still there. Diaz and one of its metabolites hang around for a long time in your body, some of the other metabolites are actually well known benzos in their own right; oxazepam and temazepam. The long elimination time means that people sometimes find themselves in trouble when using other drugs like opiates a day or so after taking Valium, the metabolites still hanging around can be all it takes to tip someone into an overdose, it nearly happened to me a few months ago.

I used to get the blister packs too but last year my pharmacist changed to the bottles for whatever reason, personally I prefer the bottles because little pill bottles look cool and are handy for storing other stuff in, apparently theyre also handy for mixing morphine shots, anyone tried this before? The brand I get is antenex, the hell I'm shelling out an extra few bucks for brand name Valium, what's the point?

I probably find Valium the most enjoyable of the benzos I've had which is a bonus seeing my doctor has no issues prescribing them, plus they also happen to be the really effective at mitigating my occasional anxiety and aren't bad for insomnia provided I dont have a tolerance.

Goodluck tent, benzo/opiate withdrawals hurt on a level I never knew existed, whatever you choose to do I hope it works out.

Ahh yes benzos w/d really do take you by surprise, the only drug I wish I never tried. Fuck I'm pissed on good moonshine helps me take less when I find my tolly rising, of course you must be careful but it helps me.
 
A meth dealer of mine who also supplies a lot of xanax told me last week that they were discontinuing xanax bars, I didn't believe him since A I doubt it would happen and B I never heard anything about it. The guy is in a lot of money trouble at the moment and I figure it might have something to do with him trying to make his product seem more attractive. He did recite some story about some chick who was prescribed them and blacked out and killed someone in a motor vehicle recently, which sounds like some shit ACA or Today Tonight would run, I highly doubt they are banned but it wouldn't surprise me if there has been a negative media piece recently and maybe doctors are prescribing benzos, xanax in particular, less than before. Other than that I haven't noticed or heard of a difference in benzo availability, just last week I got my usual benzo script (diazepam) and my doctor gave me more than he usually would funnily enough.

Cass I don't think the price of benzo's has increased recently, although I did notice the retail price of alrazolam sticks to about double a couple years ago the price of a bottle has pretty much remained the same, there was a period when the bottle price jumped a little but it was still reasonable. Personally I always felt there was a direct correlation between the time xanny bars doubled in retail price and when most ice heads started realising how invaluable they were for the meth comedown.

Also it is sweet when the pharmacist accidentally gives you too much, probably a handful of times I have got 50 instead of 25 count diazepam. It happened twice in a row at the same pharmacy with the same pharmacist working, went back 3 or 4 times since though and it never happened again there. :(
 
benzos have the worst fucking WD's ever.started to feel the effects of WD 2 weeks and only just starting to feel a bit better after lowering my dose of benzos :\ i want this shit to end!never EVER taking benzos regularly everrrrr again i would rather deal with my anxiety without drugs than go through this shit again! :( twitching so bad has me worried :\
 
How long were you using them for? Took me over 6 months to fully recover from a 4 month daily clonazepam stint. After a month or two I just thought that I was normally that anxious and that's how I was before but now I know better, thank fuck.

If you think they are bad, don't ever get addicted to juice, IMO it is as psychologically addictive and harmful as meth and 2x as physically addictive as xanax with a worse withdrawal profile to boot. Yuck. But daaaaamn does that shit feel good.
 
Haha told ya the kpins are bad for the twitches more so than most benzos. Taper with some vals man if it gets worse.
 
yaya, diazepam refilled. feeling lovely after 25mg along with a total of 200mg morphine IV'd. i have my meds with dad so he's helping me refrain from abusing them, as to not leaving me short before christmas and nothing for new years. i have no intention of being dopesick through christmas to new years!

disclaimer - i have high tolerances to both drugs and quite a few years experience using both together as part of my pain management regime. the combo is inherently dangerous and i don't endorse nor promote combining unless you know what you're doing and have experience with the combo.

Nothing beats benzos for amp comedowns - except maybe heroin..

Only twice? I once got a full bottle of 50 when the script called for no more than 20 tops.

Back when I first started taking them I was given a script of 10 to see if they'd help. The pharmacist turned around and gave me 50. Not knowing the appeal of them I informed them of their mistake though. It seems to happen a lot though. Makes me think they don't always read the whole script and only look to see what they are giving you.

i was using about 6-8mg of clonaz a day along with about 10-20mg of vvalium 60-90mg of oxezapam and 250 micrograms of troilzapam.am now taking 5mg of valium 10-20mg of temazapam (today 30mg) and normally 125micrograms of triolzapam but havnt dosed that today :) i thought this was gonna last 3-4 weeks max its crazy how long this is dragging out for.i have been using alot of poppy seed tea to sooth the WD's only thing now is im worried i'll become physically addicted to opiates :\

this happend to me the other day it was a god send really.went to the doctors cus i couldnt handle how shitty i was feeling with these WD's and the doctor wrote me out a script for 2 10mg temazapams and insted they gave me a full box of 25 realllllly came in handy :D
 
Damn just realized I've been using etizolam daily for a little while now. Thank god less than 2mg a day (equiv to 20mg diazepam) . Duration I'm not 100% sure of but I'd say 2-3 months.

What can I expect in the way of WD's from such a low dose? Only other time I was habituated was @ 60-80mg diazpam daily several years ago. Going to try and taper a bit...I wonder if the short half-life of etizolam will make things a bit different...At least I've got enough for x-mas.

I have no experience with that benzo but I know in general the withdraw from benzos with shorter half life's doesn't last as long but can be more intense. For me cutting back from 20mg/day diazepam to 10mg/day (keep in mind the longer half life means it takes longer for the w/d to peak) after a few days i got twitchy and anxious. Panic attacks ect YMMV. It was enough to make me up the dose to 15mg and things are much easier. For me I think I can only go down in increments of no more then 5mg diazepam, again YMMV. I am hoping my brain responds a bit better to the 10mg after 2 weeks of 15mg.

Too bad there isn't a conversion chart for it (from my 5 minute google search). I have not got enough to hold me over xmas, lucky my surgery is open next week :/ Happy holidaze :D :D :D
 
i bought myself a bottle of Jack Daniels Honey (first buy, as well as a bottle of Canadian Club) to drink throughout the holidays. tastes absolutely fantastic (i like the spicey after taste throughout, like a christmas cake) and compliments a small dose of dazepam with a couple small tokes of weed just perfectly. i'm in heaven <3
 
I bought a Jim Beam Honey bottle and CC as well. Taste like Jacks which I kind of prefer, but the deal for two 1L bottles was hard to say no to. Really messes ya up with some vals... Not that i would encourage such a thing :P
