Benzos The Benzodiazepine MEGA THREAD - Direct Benzo Questions Here

Quick q, no time at all. Ive been taking 60 mg k pin about every two weeks. i may run out. i have 25 days till script but 21 2 mgs left. sry for bad spelling in a hurry. advice on taper please
 
I've started out on Xanax, and it was fantastic; took away all social anxiety. The short term memory loss I feel is over rated.

Now: going cold turkey after high dosages for a length of time is something you should never do. I couldn't possibly go through all that again, it was behind horrible.

So, I switched to Valium and found it's a good drug. Keeps me going, keeps me focused, balanced and I don't have bad side effects and I sleep like a baby.
 
Midazolam is what they use to kill people by lethal injection in Cali...

I had the exact twitches and pressure in the head last time I came off. And feeling that I would fall over/faint if stood up too long. All that sent away when I took small doses of Val for a short period, and the dosages going smaller with it.

Did you also suffer from the nightmares? Jesus!
 
Midazolam alone? It must be a ridiculous dose enough to benz 5000 people.

Nah, all doses of clonazepam are 2mg max, 2mg pills are white. Wafers are .5mg and 1mg.

Try 0.25 first and only take it again if you feel the need to after waiting an hour for it to kick in. Absolutely avoid alcohol at this party though.

Ativan 2.5mg pills do not exist. They go like this .5, 1mg, 2mg. I've only ever had the 1mg footballs at the ER because of a bad 5-meo-mipt trip, (the first part where it's super speedy and has a body load out of this world). When I walked home from the ER, I found myself silly for freaking that much but that was just the 2x 1mg pills they gave me, it did help at making the trip more fun and I got mad visuals sitting on my porch looking at gravel for a couple hours while the sun was rising (sun rising on psys....one of the best thing in the world).

maybe you 2x.5mg pills, I don't know. The sublingual 1mg wafers are white. I only got it at the ER from eating too much hash a long time ago and this recent experience, where the doc put 2 x 1mg white brand name ativans in a little brown envelope for me to take when I got home, they looked like 1mg xanax footballs, but white, but I took em right after walking out of the observation room and hit a water fountain ;)

Don't mean to a know-it-all, just clarifying things. Never seen the 2mg Ativans, maybe those are yellow. I'll google image search them and see...

No I think it's 2 other drugs with it, on being Potassium Chloride. I think it's usually a benzo or barb along with KCL which is poison, and another drug I'm unsure of.

I am very new to benzos, I've only taken .25 of alprazolam 4 times.

Yesterday I took .25 early in the day, and I definitely got an effect from it. I got calm and free of anxiety. About 5 hours later, I took .25 again, and for the entire evening and even a bit the next morning I felt very good. I was so effortlessly social and anxiety free while at a BBQ.

I might get my hands on some diazepam and clonazepam. What doses of those would I need to take to get similar effects? Would 5mg of diazepam and .25 og clonazepam be relatively similar?

According to my resources yes, those are equipotent doses. I'm sure I don't need to tell you that different benzodiazepines feel different and have slightly different effects, although yes, relatively similar.

Agreed, totally. Currently rxed 20mgs/diazapam daily. As far as a straight "panic attack" xanax is pretty much the ONLY thing that works. But since I'm in a much better place the valium has helped so much.
 
I find valium works well for panic attacks, it's not as fast as xanax, but almost as close. I'm scripted both. valium 20mg a day and 1mg xanax prn. Really I keep the xanax only for when I am pissed off...I tend to do stupid shit when pissed off, say things I don't mean which hurt people I love/like etc. I don't get panic attacks anymore, when I tapered from 3.5mg of clonaz a day to 20mg of valium daily, which I get for every day, while I get 15 xanax 1mg a month, just so I wouldn't take an extra valium when things don't go my way. I guess it's a panic attack expressed in a different way, all the same symptoms physically but mentally i'm agressive, not scared. Well, only scared that being pushed too far will make me do something I'll regret.

When I don't want to take one of my xanax, I take my valium, I made an habit of not taking it right when I wake up,I'm alone then, but then the other inhabitants of this house enter and well yeah.... Valium I find only takes 10-15 minutes to hit, xanax, 2 to 5 minutes, but it's gone (effects-wise, even in benzo naive people) in less than 1h30. I still get euphoria from Valium when I take it with my bupe and hydroxyzine (2 x 50mg). Hydroxyzine is such a useful booster for both kind of drugs!

I use hydroxyzine ALL the time. I'm assuming the subs/benzo is close to methadone/benzo, so we prob have a pretty close tolerance. I'm actually seeing my dr on tue & thinking of asking him for xanax prn. He's got me on the CRAZIEST dosing ofvalium. Get this one(I get the 5's) take 1 1/2 pills every 8 hours. Wtf....like I'm really gonna do that....I do 2/am 2/pm. Maybe they do work as well for actual panic attacks, I just feel like xanax worksso quickly. In all honesty I'dove to get buzzed or should I say fucked up from benzo's but that takes about 20mgs of xans & I just don't have that kind of cash right now. Lol

I would say the hydroxyzine+subs allows me to nod from times to times, the benzo is just complimentary ;)

Strong-ass old school antihistamines like this tend to do this. I have some Talwins here (canadian Talwin has no naloxone too), sure right now they are useless, I'd have to take zero bupe for a week+ to feel it to shoot it and then take hydroxyzine. From what I know hydroxyzine has nothing to envy trippellenamine.

Those dosages seem about right. Just keep in mind that the more times that you rely on benzos to socialize and relax, the harder it will be for you to do those things without benzos.
