Pissed off because I've probably just lost £35 from being an impatient retard. Like I can afford to be wasting even that much money right now.

Plus I think this house is trying to kill me, I've fallen down the stairs twice within a week of being here this time and once when I stayed here for a few days last time. Aside from Saturday morning where I was still benzoed off my tits and groggy I was completely sober as well. Next time I want a drink I might be safer climbing out of my window.

And I had another rough sleep for the third night in a row and feel exhausted and achey and have no appetite but have to make dinner soon. Also have loads of shit I should be sorting out but I just want to cuddle and sleep and not have to bother with most people right now. Ugh, life, cba.

Sorry - just seen this. I wasn't venting about the moderaters at all. I was venting about someone chucking glass iny garden where my child could have fallen n cut herself. Wouldn't anyone be annoyed at that? I added on, asking the mods to update the angry thread. I was not bossing them or demanding them. I have asked four times previously hence why I wrote please in capitals. But as per your other post yes it may be a better idea to PM someone.

There really was no need to be rude to me. I would never boss the mods around as I have a lot of respect for the people who give up their time to volunteer to help Bluelight running.

It just seemed a good idea to ask them here rather than trying to find the metathread n create another post about a thread I was in previously.

Edit other people eg Owen, have complained about the SE so can people please stop being hostile when I'm just trying to make a criticism. Correct me yes but no need to be hostile :)

Perhaps I misread your words. If so, I apologise. :)

I just get annoyed when I see people acting like it's their god-given right to have everything done for them ASAP. Members would be horrified to learn how much of your time is spent on doing staff-related stuff in the background; stuff that needs to be done before you can even start posting on the public board. It's a fucking time-sucking thankless task and everyone should bear that in mind whenever they ask the staff to do anything. That's why I snapped at you. Hope that explains things to you and others. :)

Doing that stuff for 7 years of your life gives you a different perspective on things. :\
 
Thanks for the explanation, felix, I can understand why you snapped. Looking back my post did appear as though I was bossing the mods around. I'm sorry for accusing you of acting like a staff member. I suppose when you've been staff for so long you have a different perspective n perception of things.

I should maybe have just sent a PM to one of the mods. I also apologise for my reaction to your initial post as it wasn't necessary :)

I could write a fucking book on what it's like to be a long time and committed (addicted) member of staff on BL. I guarantee it would shock many people just how much of your time and life and brain power it consumes.

You go to bed (eventually) worrying about what you've missed or forgotten, or whether you handled this or that correctly. You dream about it. When you're away from the keyboard you're thinking about it.

Never again. ;)
 
That sounds like work. I got obsessive with my first job like that. Would go home stressing over what i may have forgotten n whether or not I'd get the sack lol

It is rather like having "a proper job" only it's one you've chosen to do so you tend to care a lot more about doing it to the best of your abilities rather than just killing time waiting for payday. A vocation of sorts, perhaps. Nuns get paid more and have way kewler uniforms but BL mods get to troll RP so works out more or less even. And no, don't ask what the second half of that sentence means - secret squirrel mob bizniz innit ;)
