You're absolutely right pal. While one smoke for the night that's in it doesn't hold much danger of me getting physically addicted again, it'd be much better for me to get some blues and just chill with a spliff or something, but unfortunately I cant get a hold of either substance so I'm a little cornered.
What I'm going to do is - if this guy doesn't get back in touch with me, then I wont bother contacting any of the several other contacts I have here and I'll just bare the night with some wine and bum a few drags of a spliff off someone there instead. I'll only stay for an hour or two at most anyway - I just have this...thing where I tend to ruminate over social situations for months after they occur, if I figure the social event didnt go as good as it should have.
Lets hope this chap doesnt call back anyway. Thanks for your comment anyway mate.
EDIT: Also, in the city center with a friend yesterday - decided to buy a few cans of special offer cider and head home for a few drinks in his. We had walked into town and all around it, and with heat as hot as it was we decided to crack open a can each in this city park/urban space area around the corner. People generally sit there to have a spliff and/or a can/coffe/cigarette or whatever without being bothered by the pork or public in general.
Girl makes eye-contact from about 30ft away, strolls over accompanied by four friends:
Girl: Sorry lads, but would one of you have a spare cigarette?
I: Unfortunately not miss, but I have some tobacco there if you can roll your own.
Girl: Oh could I? Cheers.
I: Yeah work away.
My friend: Whats that you've got around your neck, some kinda ID or something? Looks like a stage pass or something...
Girl: Yup. Thats what it is alright...some kinda ID for work. Thats
work for you lads. Lads...you're both Princes. Go rule the world.
(Girl puts tobacco and papers back down beside me and stands up to walk off)
I: Oh thanks, take care.
Girl: Pfft, thanks he says...I take enough for a cigarette off him, and
he thanks me.
I: Bye.
Turns out she works in a local phone shop, a shop which was actually just right around the corner from where we had our little chat. I might enquire about my contract during the week due; monday perhaps. I wasn't quite in top form during our conversation - what with still having slight symptoms of withdrawal. I will however, be in absolute top form come payday on Monday...and I think I'll pay her a visit
