I’m going to take that as yes to being allowed to express my opinion. If you want me to get critical about the trump admin just ask about sessions, pompeo, and Bolton
Also the silence on the count dankula debacle from the liberal elite posters is deafening. The question is if a distasteful joke goes too far and makes you look like you’re not ‘just decent person’ should that be legally punishable.. Check out the thread I’d love to hear your take on it. And yes I understand the UK doesn’t have a first amendment/ freedom of speech.
Out of curiosity, am I one of the liberal posters? I hate trump as much as anyone. I was posting on the thread till the only other person there decided to ignore me. It wasnt even that off topic, but even if it had been it was more activity than nothing.
Alas I have I strong feeling I don't belong to either side, story of my life.
but but Obamaobama's lowest approval rating across 8 years in office was 39%.
Because they're fake and made-up as we saw during the election. Hillary 98% chance of winning? Trump 1% chance to win the Republican nomination?perhaps you could take a moment and explain what your problem is with their methodologies that leads you to believe that these venerable polling companies are getting it wrong and your opinion is correct?
here's a list of the most prominent pollers when it comes to presidential approval: Rasmussen Reports; Ipsos/Reuters; Marist Poll; Fox News; Gallup Poll; NBC News/Wall Street Journal; Pew Research Center; CBS News; George Washington University; Quinnipiac University; Monmouth University; Suffolk University/USA Today; CNN; Kaiser Family Foundation; Public Policy Polling; Investor's Business Daily/TIPP; ABC News/Washington Post; CNBC; Public Religion Research Institute; Washington Post/University of Maryland; Bloomberg News.
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows that 46% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump?s job performance.
i was obviously putting trump's number in context. you're trumpeting it like he's mr. superpopular when his highest approval rating isn't much better than obama's lowest approval rating.but but Obama
Nah I'm just saying that he's not Mr Super-Unpopularyou're trumpeting it like he's mr. superpopular
I'm not sure we're posting anymore about this stuff, but Trump's VA head Dr. David Shulkin is out.
Robert Wilkie of DOD will serve as Acting Secretary.
Trump has nominated Admiral Ronny L. Jackson, MD, as the new Secretary of Veterans Affairs.
Apparently Shulkin and Trump butted heads and also those ethics violations...of Shulkin's, I mean.
Veterans deserve the best care. Not a Secretary of Affairs who abuses his or her position. And not a moron who wants a parade like he saw in France.
It's amazing to see the fear and hatred trump is projecting about a group of impoverished people.
He really takes 'punching down' to a whole new level. These people are a threat to no one, but it's clearly pandering to the racist inclinations of those who support him.
Like everything about trump, it's a load of hyperbolic bullshit to pretend this 'caravan' of people is a threat to the world's richest nation in any way.
It's a damn shame that someone with trump's power and influence - and ability to affect positive change in the world - just squanders it by cynically stoking prejudice. A billionaire (as he claims) who spends more time scapegoating and attacking poor people than making any effort to govern or lead the nation.
Politics aside - what a pathetic asshole.
It's such a nihilistic joke of a presidency - even after more than a year, it still seems surreal to me to see this trashy conman pretending to be president. It's like a bad remake of an old film - i recognise the general idea, but its b-grade production is so inept that it's impossible to take seriously.
The creepy thing as that some people still seem to support him. It's given me an insight into how people get swept up in mob mentality - actively working against their own interests because their most base fears are being pandered to.
The saving grace here is that trump is an unstable freak of questionable intelligence, because if he had the political nous to directthe cultural wave he's riding, he would be a lot more dangerous than he is.
I mean, what he's doing is dangerous and destructive - but if he was a halfway savvy leader, he would be much more of a threat to democracy and to humanity.
His compulsive incompetence is worrying, but also paradoxically comforting. His ineptitude and incompetence may well be his saving grace... Although, perhaps it will be the death of us all.
Trump is like Robin Hood in reverse - a bloated old man who steals from the poor and gives to the rich.
Imagine all the children going back to places they hardly remember. People forget that the US is a country of immigrants. From centuries these immigrants were the people who fled and moved to a place they built for you so that you can feel as comfortable as you are feeling.
