the 2010 NBA playoffs!

holy fuck kobe goes for 40 points 5 assists and 5 rebounds in only 3 quarters of play in a conference finals game while having a broken finger and fluid drained from his knee... says it all right there

odom comes up huge as well

lakers look strong despite the injuries

johnny_blue, as a resident of both of the states in question you truly have no idea what you are talking about.

I feel bad for Cleveland fans, but I do give them credit. they have stuck through the hardships and someday the city will somehow have to win a championship somewhere.

sucks that the Suns lost last night, although I wasn't in the mood to watch basketball again enough to watch it

Yeah, as I said, I'm not going to continually participate in a Cleveland vs Boston debate here because this is not the place. And clearly, JB, you really are clueless and lacking any and all logic.

so there are reports that Kobe had to get fluid drained from his right knee, and that bynum reports his knee is feeling worse... really hope the lakers can battle through it for 2 more series on a quest for the repeat.

Phil Jackson's mind games are in sync with Kobe's jumper now. A deadly combination for the opposing team.

Boston going up 2-0 on the road. Magic are certainly done. The question now, can they avoid the sweep. I give them 1 win, possibly a 2nd back at home.

Bottom line is, Boston has 3 hall of famers and a bunch of all-stars. You cant hate on Cleveland as much as you have to give Boston a hand for playing great basketball

I still have the Lakers winning it all, I think their size is just too much for anyone to handle but Boston can certainly give them problems.

I'm still holding on to my pipe dream of Amare and Nash pulling it out from the West.

I'd actually rather play the Lakers. Not because I think the Celtics have a better chance with them. Its just that watching Kobe cry is still my happiest moment in all of sports. Taking the risk of playing them is worth it. That and the city of Boston united under the common hatred for the Lakers is a beautiful thing. Its just different than any other atmosphere and basketball is my favorite sport so...

I'm getting ahead of myself though because Orlando is an excellent team and shit happens.

Boston is looking like a major threat to the West. I hope my Lakers can beat them. It will be a very tough series for both teams, I'm going with the Lakers in 7.

When the Lakers COME CLOSE to losing a home game, than I'll START to break a sweat.

This team is BY FAR the best in the league.

MJ 6, Kobe 5 is less than a month away.

Not even rooting too strongly for it.

It's just that it's a near inevitability.

it's ok the basketball gods were not in our favor this year... again.

how about my boy Amare dumping 42 points on the Lakers tonight! damn he's so much fun to watch. at least the Suns are staying alive.

the most frustrating apsect of professional basketball is that the Championships are really only availible to a select few teams (and these teams are usually in the bigger markets, but I know you have all heard my NBA conspiracy theory rants and I will not go into it again here). if I were to guess right here and right now I would say the Celtics and the Lakers share about half of the NBA titles. it would be great to the sport to see a team that has not won one yet, win one (like the Magic or Suns).
