Paprika

It was pretty good. I'm glad I watched it. The CGI is random, unnecessary, and looks terrible--which is too bad because the actual animation is really cool. The music is awesome, especially the main song that plays during the march.

wikipedia says that the director/writer of Inception cited this movie as an influence. yeah, big time.

and apparently a live action remake is in production. i do not see how that is going to work.

^i've been meaning to see that for ages.

this morning i watched the maiden heist. soft heist comedy with a few plotholes. didn't know william h macy got buffed up.

obviously, it sucked and i knew that going in. 1.5 stars. vaguely entertaining.

I liked the look of the Trailer, was dubious about it at the start...but hell, what an adorably beautiful film, full of the innocence of life. <3 (*not suitable for a general, 'younger' audience because they will be bored to death! ;))

It was actually pretty decent, good hack-n'-slash action, some military-style sneaking around and definitely kept the spirit of its period.

The Secret of Kells

Utterly fantastic! The animation is beautiful, and to me much better than most anything CGI can cook up. The story was well-told, not overly childish, and well acted all around.
 
Doctor at Sea

19 year-old bardot does not show up and look cute trying to speak english until a about 1/3 of the way into the film, but it's worth the wait. and she looks oh so good in a classy yet sexy one-piece, for the 15 seconds you get to see her in it.

even besides brigette, the movie actually is not terrible. a silly comedy, but an alright one.
 
I am number four... meh, could have been much better. Just felt the movie was a set up for a sequel... way too short and predictable
 
Daisies

not what i was expecting. the brunette girl and her pigtails were quite cute. the shot following the railroad tracks with all the lines of color drawn in was awesome. the scissor/cut-up scene was cool. but overall i was disappointed. the movie was kind of annoying. like it was intentionally trying to be. the two girls and their friendship reminded me a lot of Beavis and Butt-head.

i think czech is my favorite sounding language.

I watched Election a few days ago on TV. T'was a nice surprise after struggling to get home from work after a two and a half hour journey from hell. :X
 
Machete. Or should I say Mashitty?.

There were some nice touches, but overall I found it kinda boring.

It was pretty good, another mix of action and comedy from Pegg and Frost that's not quite as good as Shaun of the Dead... I initially thought Rogan would make a bad alien but he was the best part of the whole thing, really stole the show.

Saw the remake version as in the poster. This was disturbing to say the least. Rapists make me sick and angry. I felt so good when the poor lass got her revenge, she had better ideas to get back at them than I did.

If you can sit through the torment the girl goes through in the first hour the rest of the movie is well worth it.
