The comments are actually excellent.

Everyone is just ranting about democrats and liberals, as if politics have anything to do with this. And so many people are bringing race into it, going on about blacks and Obama. People are blaming welfare as well. Shit, if there was no welfare then there'd be even more stuff like this because there would be more people robbing and stealing to survive.

Is Philadelphia incredibly backwards or something? I don't know much about American states.

When LIBERALS wake up we should sterilize and eliminate voting privileges for all families (mother, father (if he can be found - else cut the benefits in 1/2), children) living off any type welfare (food, housing, homeless, living,...) for over 6 months. This would eventually lead to an end of poverty, crime and make the future better instead of perpetuating the problem as we've been doing since the 1960's.

Philly is a city in Pennsylvania, and it generally lacks any specific reputation as a backward city.
More "forward" than Pittsburgh, the other big city in Pennsylvania.
Pennsylvania votes Democrat (the US version of "kinda liberal, at least compared to those right wing mofos") every election, I believe.
So, not backward by any stretch.

If tobacco shortens the life span, then theoretically less tobacco users will reproduce and eventually the genes that encourage tobacco abuse will fade away.

See, I know so little about the states that I assume cities are states.

Why are there so many crazy backwards republicans (not saying all republicans are backwards, but a lot of the ones in the comments are) posting in the comments then?

Actually, I wish our readers in DiTM would do the same.

I'm aware of this, but I would say maybe 90% (just a guess) of the comments are right wing, and only the right wing comments have likes. Anyone with liberal views is insulted. I just want to know why? Is NBC mostly republican or something?
 
this doesn't even seem relevant to tobacco tho, this was a kid freaking out over what some chick said to him on the street, i don't think it mattered if he was asking for smokes or change sadly :\

Stories like this make me glad I flat out ignore people instead of saying something snide like this, lest someone come up behind me with a blunt object while I have my head phones on. 8o

^ which isn't likely because I move really quickly and cigarette smokers aren't going to keep up with my clean lungs. =D
