The kid wants to buy weed so he brings 3 ounces of fake shit to sell for $300.
Nice logic in this article.

Sounds about right.this is pathetic
... In a perfect world the police should be community based public servants who help to prevent crime from happening rather than allowing crimes to be committed and then locking the violator up.
Seeing as all texts are permanently stored until further notice by most phone companies, if they wiretap your phone they'd definitely go through all your texts.
WTF!?
How is this not entrapment? Or just plain not illegal?
He sold them Oregano. It's not illegal lol. The cop said intent to sell is still a crime, BUT NOT IF IT'S NOT A FUCKING DRUG!
Also, apparently all the kid sent was "That was some bomb ass weed" or something like that. And somehow she gets him to sell 3 ounces of "weed". ENTRAPMENT!
But of course no crime was committed anyway. He was selling 3 ounces of oregano. Bomb ass oregano.
Wouldn't it have been much more helpful as a "drug resistance education officer" to sit down with the kid and explain to him the potential dangers/problems associated with his behavior rather than tricking him into a drug sale that will brand him as a criminal, and most likely greatly interfere with his education?
To me it seems that they have a "stats" mentality, where the more people they can arrest the better they think they are doing. Where in reality it should be the opposite, where the less people you need to arrest should prove that your work is successful. In a perfect world the police should be community based public servants who help to prevent crime from happening rather than allowing crimes to be committed and then locking the violator up.

I used to work for a phone company and was informed this was quite false, however I don't necessarily trust that company.
