Time to post my unpopular opinion which I've been hiding from all my fellow lit students (though I'm sure they all secretly feel the same seeing as it's 90% female): I loved the Twilight saga! The books mind you, hated the movies. I really think the books shouldn't be criticized as much, seriously. They're not particularly well-written or anything but they really are enjoyable and just fun to read. =D
Unpopular opinion n°2: I hated Star Wars... :(

Sorry, but I kinda have to boo this as well: Booooooo.

Hey guys hope all is well here in TDS.
I have been partying in the desert for 7 days in North Qld, Australia, in celebration of the recent solar eclipse which we were blessed with on Weds morning.
It was the most amazing & beautiful thing I will ever lay my eyes on.
I have some photos to share but they will never do the real experience any sort of justice.
Today we head to the Daintree Rainforest for another 7 days.
It is the most lush rainforest in Australia and probably most of the world.
I will get some photos for you guys. I am bound to run in to many animals, including more crocodiles!!
Take care all <3

I love the way you embrace life. So soooo much awesome, trip! :) Enjoy yourself. <3

I've had it many times dude :)
The other week we shot one, chopped it up and made it into a big roo stew for a party

Very stoked and jealous of your exploratory vibrant life, trip. For instance, I'll juxtapose my recent activity w/ yours: watching endless episodes of Game of Thrones on my laptop in my bed on a Friday. How does one compare??

This is too cute not to share.

I am making progress. A new connect that was given my number called yesterday.
I'm like nah dude I'm not lookin haven't really been fuckin around. Plus I'm on the other side of town.
He proceeds to tell me that he wants to give me free shit to see if I like it and he would have came to me. I declined!!! Yeeeey!
This is the 3rd time in a week i've turned down free hard drugs.

I'm determined. I'm gonna work 2 jobs if I have to and show my family and my new amazing girlfriend I'm serious. No more fucking around

Wow SwS that's awesome! That's a tough situation to avoid when a drug dealer is trying to lure you back in with free drugs and I'm so proud of you for declining :) Go do something special for yourself, you deserve it.

I spent last night working on a screensaver for the game Perfect Dark. I edited music from the game and made it into one music file and got a bunch of pictures from the game. Here's the file if you all want to give it a try. If it doesn't work just shoot me a PM and we'll work it out somehow

^Sine, that is fantastic.I'm really, really happy for you. <3

Hey, everybody. Happy Thanksgiving. I know being on the west coast some of you have been up for hours but it's still early here. I cooked all day yesterday and cleaned all day the day before that, but my borrowed table is set and the prep for everything is done. I've been doing this meal for a small crowd (10-20) every year for a long time. It's like a symphony with the timing of everything. Every year there has to be one disaster and this year was a doosy! I brine and roast one turkey ahead of time so I can make extra gravy. Everything went fine with that but when I got the second turkey into the brining bag it broke on the way to the refrigerator. I think I spent over an hour cleaning up that mess before I could go on. Oh, well, it's a time of thanksgiving right? Starting with being thankful for both swear-fests and humor, I am actually thankful for a lot. I am thankful for my son who made his first contribution to the meal this year--not one but two stuffings. And my husband that fixed the clogged sink last night. I'm thankful for my "family" of people here that celebrate this with me every year. They are all so wonderful about my tears--they just let me cry, never acting embarrassed or awkward. I cried a lot in the last few days. I miss Caleb so much. He loved helping me gather leaves for the table and lighting all the candles.

Happy Thansgiving, everybody.

We're all thankful for you Jan :) I'm thankful for all of you here on TDS, you're all very special to me and TDS is a very special part of my life. Just spend today doing something good for yourselves. Spend it with people you love <3

^This^ hard. Hoping you had a happy thanksgiving among your extended family Jan, and I wish the same to all my American cousins however you marked the day. <3

I'm somewhat stunned to learn that you're not in fact somewhere on the west coast as I thought though Herb, and wonder how it is I've been labouring under that illusion all this time? I didn't think my grasp on geography was that poor but somewhat disconcertingly I can no longer locate you in time and space, which makes you strangely ephemeral appearing, disappearing and re-appearing in the virtual bluelight continuum. How's it feel to suddenly be an intangible? Pfffft! ;)

^ don't be boasting about a tan, it's getting grim here in the UK, I was driving through 2 feet on water on some roads on the way into work today!

Still I quite like the challenge so it's not a bad way to start the day.

I've slipped up a bit this week, speed and Etiz but not too much, a bit of a treat as I have tomorrow off.

Hope you are all well<3 (I've snuk out of EADD whilst NT wasn't looking )

Captain H, with your lol there I'm not sure you're treating this with the seriousness it deserves. Pissing it down and gale force winds here. The rain's not so much falling as traversing the skies horizontally at ground level. You wouldn't believe this shit. No point even having yer hood up. And it's pigging cold as well. :X

As for you Trip, waltzing in here boasting about all the sun and hotness you've had on your adventures with your bronzed good looks and your swishy-swoo hair, well you can just fuck right off an 'all! :!

Atm, I think these guys can consider themselves well and truly told. Oh yes!

Haha come on, let's not get too jealous now guys :)
I would love to visit your country, regardless of the weather over there :)

I am on the west coast! My sentence was so poorly written that it made it sound like I'm not on the west coast and was addressing others that are, which is the exact opposite of what I meant. I went back and read that sentence and realized it was very confusing. You got it right, Sepher. Your grasp of geography and grammar is no doubt better than mine!

Thanks Bad and Captain--I had a perfect and beautiful day. It included tears but I was surrounded by people that accept and understand that this doesn't mean I'm falling apart--they just cry right along with me. The wonderful thing is that they make it so safe for me--I can laugh with them and cry with them with ease. One of Caleb's friends came this year and it was really good to have her there.

atm and Sepher, that weather does sound awful. I can take rain but rain and cold together? Can't abide by that!
