I love that photo of the 3 of you. Your smile is infectious and just seeing it made me smile too. <3

What was your son making there? (also that just made me realize I'm quite hungry lol :D)
 
^I'm not even sure what it was--some asian-style delicious concoction with eggplant, about 5 different kinds of mushrooms and lots of veggies. My two favorite kinds of food are Mexican and Thai followed closely by Chinese. I like to cook Mexican style but the Asian food intimidates me so I'm glad that's what he likes to do. That picture of my boys and me is so old (probably 8 years or so?) but when I look at it I can see the two of them flying down the street on their skateboards, off to some shenanigans or another LOL. Still hard to believe that Tyler is now brother-less.:(:(:(
 
^I know, hun. Being without a sibling is hard some times (I'm an only child myself). I can only imagine how it is for him to go from having a brother to not though. You're all in my thoughts, and always are. <3
 
If I remember correctly the eggplant has the second highest concentration of nicotine. First is tobacco obviously. :P

Philly. I'm from Pittsburgh so you can imagine the flack I caught when I posted it on facebook haha. Thought I was going to be lynched when I visited home.

Wasn't photoshopped at all.. I have the photographer as a friend on facebook and he made up a limit number of prints.
So amazing.
 
^That picture is terrifying, beautiful and strangely calm. It looks like you are staring into the pupil in the eye of creation, though the strange light suggests destruction. Who took this photo? It really is amazing.

They would have been starting in to the same eclipse as the one shown =D
So glad I made the mission all the way up there.
I am obsessed with these things now. After seeing it once, you just need to see it more.
 
VanWeyden, you've just ramped my jealous-o-meter up a notch again. I'm intrigued by all things Japan, it's like everything there is the expression of a single, beautiful idea. You can really see it in art, in architecture, in dress, and manners, in the veneration of the cherry blossom, nature, everything. I will go there one day I hope.
