thanks guys. it was a killer show, and meeting one of my musical heroes was a total buzz.

i snagged the setlist from the stage (i was in the front row!) and got it signed, too.

also, booker t at one point says some shit like feel free to ask me any questions
and i didn't have anything on tap, so i kept my mouth shut
so he plays dock of the bay - he played piano on the original track, if you remember
o as he finishes, and mind you i am about 6 feet away from him, tops
i ask him if it's true that otis (like he's my friend! ) meant to write more lyrics, and that's why the whistling is there
and he very deliberately steps forward so that he is not miked anymore, and he says
well shit, i guess if he wanted anyone else to hear what he was going to say, he would have said it into the microphone

My dad, brother and me back when we had a better relationship. That pic's at least 5 years old but I realised it's the most recent one I've got of him and me together.
Despite everything that happened between the two of us I'm realising how much I do still care about him. Everyone just please keep your fingers crossed that this trip to the hospital isn't his last one.
