TDS TDS Pets thread vs. now with added SCOMFF!

I liked the red sand socks he had <3. I want a bearded dragon so bad!!! We are visiting my parents next week and my brother has a really large bearded dragon that he had to upgrade the cage for so he said I could have his old smaller tank =D.

Ooooooh lucky Stardust! you should really get one.. They are great pets, and extremely easy to care & provide for :)
Do you know how long your brother has owned his beardy' for???
I am starting to look for a better tank for Noodles. He is living in a 4 or 5ft fish tank right now. There's plenty of space for him in there, though i would like to buy him a tank that i can access directly from the front.

Oh man I think his beardy is around 2 and a half years old. He's huge and so lazy he just sits on your chest and alternates looking out of each eye. He's so hilarious. I love their calm demeanor.

My mom even loves him. They named him Rex. She is all excited about giving me the old cage for my own. They have the small ones (like 3 inch ones) which is what I think I want so that I can watch it grow completely. She's tried to convince me to get a larger one. Do you think I'll be okay with getting a little guy? Are they extremely sensitive when they're that small? I don't want it to die on me.

Here is a picture of him on my moms computer. She actually likes him a lot which is strange for her. She's not much of an animal person otherwise.

And one of his funny alternating eye poses.

Oh wow, he looks big! Noodles is roughly the same age, but seems smaller than Rex. Hm, funny that, because the girl who gave me Noodles as a youngen' also owned a baby bearded dragon who was 4 months older. Noodles grew up and got big but her's remained a little runt (i hate saying runt) and eventually died, even though she cared and nurtured for it like a mother and child.
I think the baby ones you are thinking of are called Pygmy (Pigme?) or Dwarf Bearded Dragons..
Actually, now that i am looking through them on google images, im starting to think maybe Noodles is one of these baby size dragons.. because he looks really small compared to Rex, and looks the same size as a lot of these Dwarf/Pygmy species.

aw

haha that was awesome! :D i had to post it to my bff's fb cause she's as much of a crazy cat lady as i am. :) <3

Hey yeah that is a great video. Tugs on the ol' heartstrings too. One of my cats, Samba, got jealous & switched the camera off so I haven't got any pics of him watching it unfortunately! Will have to see if I can dig out some pet photos from the memory card in my phone. I will have to watch the end later!

Peace ethnobot

Kitties at last!

That's Samba. He's really super friendly, he loves everyone but he also gets in to everything and that can get a little much at times. He is really seriously cute though.

And that one who's looking like he's trying to do some bizarre form of cat yoga is Cody. He's really reserved but is also a daddy's boy and very affectionate with me. He can sometimes take it to the point of clinginess but he doesn't go for a fuss with just anyone like Samba does so that makes his fusses, cuddles & kitty-kisses all the more special :)

This shows how well my two boys get on with each other. Almost ridiculously well for two toms sharing a house and an owner really. They do have play scraps but with claws retracted so that I've never once had to stop them due to either or both of them going too far.

& finally this is an old shot that just demonstrates that we got Samba as an 8-week-old kitten when Cody was already 2. Cody was remarkably tolerant of the new arrival even though he got asked to play more than he really liked. In fact both cats were being given away free when we were looking for some pets that I could manage to help look after without hurting my back. They were the runts of their respective litters (they are biologically unrelated as far as we know) though you certainly wouldn't guess it to see the fair-sized kitties I have now. Samba was tiny when he came. I'll have to find the picture that illustrates that for another post in the near future :)

Thank you very much for taking the time to read about my lovely furry boys lol.

ethno, i adore how much your boys love each other. soooo cute! i got a cat yoga calendar for x-mas, cody could totally be in it! :D

hey kitty owners...does anyone else's cat chirp at birdies and squirrels? azi does quite a bit when she sees them out the window. it's sooooo effin' adorable!! <3 my old cat tigger used to do this as well. i keep meaning to take a video of it but i'm either not quick enough to get to my phone on time or i make too much noise when i'm doing so and then azi stops the chirping and just looks at me like i've completely lost it :D
