pink - its pretty easy to make up some reason that you're off to go do somethin.. the dancefloor, off to find people, gotta make a call, anything..
what usually happens in my case is that im in the middle of a sentence, in the middle of some huge story im telling some poor bastard, and i get distracted so easily, and then i totally forget what i was saying and im just like, "uhh.. uhmm.. shit what was i sayin?"
and its all over once that happens.
its all completely over. hehehehehhh
see its easy...

I'm moving this to the social forum - this forum will now be specifically dedicated to Raves/Meetups - pre and post discussion regarding these events. You will hate us for awhile but you'll grow to love the social forum

From my experiences you meet some of the best people at clubs/raves. I met the person who put me onto Bluelight at a club and I owe him HUGE time (you know who you are and thank you very very much
smile.gif
). Usually when i meet people for the first time i don't really know what to say cos i don't knwo what common bond, if any we have. Meeting people at clubs is alot easier cos most people are there for the tunes and the atmosphere and starting convos is ALOT easier. Usually i Just go up to the person and introduce myself and start chatting from there. A guy i know from around said to me, "Ravers (clubbers) are the best people" and i completely agree with him, i have 2 stories to share
smile.gif
(Sorry if im babbling alot)
Story 1
When sunnyside up came to perth my mates bailed at 2:30 becos their pills didnt come on and i was peaking very very hard. Earlier that night I'd an English guy and he introduced me to all his crew and stuff which was really really cool. When my friends wanted to bail I was going to bail as well but he said to stay with him and his friends and i had one of the bestest nights of my life and it wouldnt have happened if i hadnt met this guy, one of the main reasons i had such an amazing night was becos of the great people i met at sunnyside.
Story 2
I was at rolando at zanadu and i was peaking very very hard (again) i could barely stand and the "waves" of pleasure just kept hitting me. I was sitting on the floor at zanadu and this dude comes up and sits down next to me, he nods at me and i nod at him and shuffle over. We start chatting and I find out he's in need of a little man, having a spare windmill which i KNew i wouldnt be needing, i offered to help him out. Well, after rolando we met up and now we're good friends
smile.gif

I guess my point is the strangers I've met at clubs/raves sometimes turn into your really good friends.
Peace

how i got to noe so many pple even tho ive only been in aus fer 1yr, r things like this...
1 nite at HK, some of my frens came in late, n gave us heaps n heaps of chupa chups (bcos 1 of the guys had snitched a whole bucket from a 7-11). so i went around the whole nite giving pple chupa chups. some of these pple actually sought me out later in the nite, to give me some other titbits in return! n some of these pple have become my pals at HK.
during 1 of my laser-watching sessions, made frens wif pple who jus havta come up to me n tell me i looked goddamned happi jus sitting there watching the laser!
made frens wif pple who jus had to grab me n pat my furry jacket or play wif my hair. eg. was trapped outside HK 1 morning being patted like a kitten by the bouncers.
some common topics dat crop up other than drugs, r usually dancing styles, djs n music, lifestyles etc.
oh, i get alot of questions abt chinese characters n wat they mean. eg. "wat does my t-shirt say?"
a few times ive refrained from telling sum1 dat their chinese tattoo is wrong... hehehe
2 BAD lines ive heard, from acid reign earlier this yr:
1. "u're some gd shit!!!" i ran way.
2. "u look like trubble!!!" i ran away too.
*waves little paws*
>'.'<
ps. i loved transformers. i cried when optimus prime died.

I always remember this guy I met at MofS in Perth 1999. His name was "Pickles" and he was a teacher at Churchlands High. We had a good old yarn and a hell of a groove. He was so cool.

hehe remember in school when were taught "not to talk to strangers"
thats why we don't see many teachers at raves

'just wait until this song is finished then i'll go :)'

Looks like this thread has been revived after being dormant for a long time!
Absolutely agree with rc1n that ravers are the best people. I don't think you could find thousands of people being that friendly anywhere else apart from these things!
I have been going to raves alone the last few times. I love to meet new people and going alone means I can't just be with my mates all night, so I have to go and seek out new people to talk to!
Anyways, I have a similar story to rc1n's. At Renaissance in Perth, was talking to someone who had told me about the pills she had taken, which I knew were speed bombs. I offered her my spare pill and a half hour later, she was rushing like mad! It felt so good to be able to turn someone's night around like that!! Sometimes I think I enjoy watching other people have such a good time more than getting fucked up!
And pink, don't borry too much about talking too much about your life etc. I tend to be a bit quiet normally, and even when rolling (though not as much) and I remember some girl sitting down and telling me her life story. She was a bit worried about talking too much as well because she asked me if I wanted her to shut up. I told her no as I love to listen to other people stories (the fact that I could hardly string a sentence together also influenced my response
smile.gif
)
So pink, if you're worried about that, I'd just ask whoever you're talking to if they still want to listen to you...

usually i start talking to someone about the track that's playing and it just goes from there, for some reason i always seem to end up talking to people who are visiting from overseas
smile.gif
met this guy when i was in melbourne recently from switzerland who was one of the coolest dudes i've ever met
wink.gif

one of those people that you click with straight away and end up talking codshit all night long with
smile.gif
